PRAI PRAImordial Collagen Restore Eye Creme: Fluffy Firming Eye Cream

I love the name of this new eye cream from PRAI: PRAImordial Eye Creme. So witty! A play on the word primordial, of course. Primordial usually refers to something that’s the first, the earliest or elementary, but in this case, it can refer to collagen, one of the elemental and most important building blocks of healthy and youthful skin. As we age, our ability to make collagen flags. So skincare products that stimulate collagen production are a must.

As you know, I have been obsessed with loss of elasticity around the eyes. For some people, it can be bags under the eyes. For others, it can be droopy skin under the brow/above the crease that creates a hooded eye and obscures the eyelid. I am always on the hunt for new firming eye creams. I was delighted that PRAI sent me their new PRAImordial Collagen Restore Eye Creme several weeks ago.

PRAImordial Collagen Restore Eye Creme is a fluffy and soufflé-like in terms of texture. Yet it’s thick and rich at the same time. (You may already know that I am a huge fan of soufflé texture creams!) The cream itself is white and fragrance-free. It comes in a jar, and I scoop a tiny amount out with a clean scoop. A little goes a long way. Next, I pat it on the skin above my crease, in my crease where the skin can be very dry, on my dry eyelids, and on my crow’s feet.

The PRAImordial Eye Creme is very soothing. It makes my skin feel sooooooo soft as well as instantly smoother by plumping skin and obscuring the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

The new eye cream from PRAI was specifically developed to target eye contour or the loss of elasticity around the eyes. PRAImordial Eye Creme is formulated with hydrators and special ingredients that help “fill and smooth”. I am super interested in this benefit in the longer term. Though my skin below my brows is fairly firm, I noticed over the past year that it could definitely use smoothing. In the month that I’ve been using PRAI Eye Creme, it hasn’t changed yet, but I am hoping that over the months it will.

The proprietary ingredients in PRAImordial Collagen Restore Eye Creme are:

  • Idealift: a new dipeptide complex that fights sagging
  • HemaTite: “Iron Rose crystal” optimizes collagen and has been shown to reduce the appearance of wrinkles
  • NuLastic Silk: an ingredient that fills and smooths wrinkles
  • PRAI Oil: a botanical oil that hydrates and smooths skin.

PRAImordial Collagen Restore Eye Creme has just launched on the PRAI website in the beginning of May. It is priced at $38 for 0.5 fl. oz. It is a terrific eye cream for mature skin!

I just started using PRAI skincare in January, and I have been delighted and satisfied with all of the PRAI products I’ve tried. I knew that PRAI is a cruelty-free skincare brand, but it is also Leaping Bunny and PETA certified. A percentage of their sales support animal rights programs. PRAI Beauty started their “Free the Shelters” campaign in 2017, and since then over 6000 animals have been adopted. Their goal is to empty out all the shelters and send the animals to loving homes.

    1. Yes, it reminds me of the souffles from Humboldt Soap Co!

  3. With that texture being so fluffy you probably only need the tiniest amount for the eye and I bet it feels soooo good under the eyes as it absorbs in.

  10. This looks – and sounds – so rich and nourishing; I wonder if it would help my very dry, sleep-deprived under eye skin. I got a neck cream from Prai in a beauty box, but my Mum helped herself to it saying, “My need is greater than thine.”

  11. Lately I have felt like I have bags under my eyes, so this is actually perfect timing to see this post. I hope that I can try a sample first in a store to make sure that it works with my skin or at least buy from a place with a good return policy.
