Galentine’s Day Giveaway Winner

First, I want to congratulate Michelle C., the winner of the LUSH Lip Scrub and Jesse’s Girl heart-shaped mirror giveaway! Woohoo! Michelle has been a long time follower, so it was great to see her name come up on the Rafflecopter widget.

I also want to say that I had to have Rafflecopter choose 6 names till I got to Michelle because the 5 previous entrants didn’t do what they said they did on the Rafflecopter. I think that 3 of the entrants didn’t leave the mandatory comment on the post. I checked the Stop Spammers Allow Request list, and none of them were listed. If you ever have a problem commenting, send me an email via “Contact Us” and let me know and I’ll try to fix it. Others said they did something else, and when I checked there was no record of it. I felt bad having to disqualify people. Please do what you say you’ve done on the Rafflecopter. Rant over.

New Products to Try Out

This hasn’t been a normal week, and I’m a bit behind. So instead of a typical review post, I’m doing a coming attractions post to let you know what’s coming down the pike.

Esqido Lashes

I am a false lash novice. But I have always wanted to try the luxe Esqido Lashes that are handcrafted, natural and made from mink hair. They are as soft as silk, and so beautifully made. I received two different styles to try out. They also sent me their glue to use with the lashes. I plan to wear them when Jeff and I go out for our real Valentine’s celebration either this or next Saturday night. I will have a full review soon. Have you tried them yet?

SebaMed Skincare

A few weeks ago, I received three skincare products from a new-to-me skincare brand, SebaMed. Their point of difference is that their products are created for sensitive skin, and they have the same pH as healthy skin, 5.5. I am trying out their Liquid Face and Body Wash, Body Lotion, and Moisturizing Face Cream. So far, so good. They are incredibly gentle! I will have a lot more to say about them soon.

NIP+FAB Fix Range with Glycolic Acid

I’ve been using several different skincare products from other brands (Jan Marini, Exuviance, Paula’s Choice) with glycolic acid for at least a couple of years. But I have never tried any skincare products from NIP+FAB. I just received a trio of their Glycolic Fix glycolic acid products – 2 different cleansing pads – Daily Cleansing Pads and Gentle Pads – that I’m not sure what the difference is yet – and a glycolic serum that they call Glycolic Fix Radiance Shot. All are positioned as radiance boosting exfoliators. I haven’t started in with them yet since they just arrived. I have to figure out when/how to use each one. I will most likely review them one at a time since I will probably use them sequentially. Stay tuned.

  1. I use the Sebamed Skincare also and im very satisfied with it

Greetings from the Venice Food Tour

    1. I’m really liking the SebaMed products a lot. They’re so gentle. Thank you for weighing in, Clara! The Venice Food Tour, wow, I couldn’t be more jealous! Enjoy 🙂

  2. Will be anxious to hear your review on the lashes. My eyelashes are getting so scarce that I am afraid to glue a product on. How do you get them off??

    1. Sandy, with the false lashes and glue that I’ve tried in the past, you gently peel them off. They’re attached to your eyelid actually so don’t harm your own lashes. However, I once tried a drugstore glue that came with individual lashes, and I didn’t know that it was a stronger, more permanent glue and I used it with regular false eyelashes on a strip – now that was a nightmare. Courtney/Phyrra told me to use coconut oil, and that melted the glue. The lashes that I just received from Esqido was truly high-end lashes that are expensive and are meant to last through many wearings. I am going to try to practice today with a cheap pair from the drugstore to refresh my memory on how to get them on before I use the Esqido. We’re going out for a fancy dinner tomorrow night, and I’d love to wear them. I’ll keep you posted!!

  3. I have some of the Sebamed and Nip + Fab, and am very impressed by their products!

    1. I haven’t opened the Nip+Fab yet since I need to take a few more pix, but the SebaMed products are terrific.

  4. No lashes for me. I’m afraid that I was allergic to previous glues, so not worth it to take a chance on them. The Nip and Fab products sound great and I’ve used Seba Med for many years. Looking forward to full reviews.

    1. Definitely not worth it if you’re allergic to the glue. You have nice lashes anyway. This is a treat for me, and I hope I can get them on without ruining them! Glad to know that you’re a SebaMed fan. I’m very impressed with the products!

  5. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on these! I just got some new skin care products myself in the mail yesterday. I tried a trial size of Murad and my skin reacted so nicely – literally no breakouts and I usually break out as my hormones change throughout the month. I was elated and bought full size!

    1. I have a few Murad skincare products, and I love them too. Glad you’re off to a good start with yours!

  6. I tried the stronger Night pads (Glycolic) from Nip+Fab, and though they were nice, the smell didn’t wow me. I’ve also tried their glycolic cleanser, which is great. I’m interested in the glycolic serum – looking forward to seeing your review of this!

    1. Oh, good to know about the glycolic cleanser! When I finish my Jan Marini glycolic cleanser, maybe I’ll try the Nip+Fab coz it’s more in my price range. I think I wish I got the Night Pads rather than two daytime pad options, but if I have good luck with them I can always try the night pads. I’m guessing these pads will smell the same as the night version. My Marini GA cleanser doesn’t smell great either. I assumed it was the GA ingredients, but I should take a look at the ingredient list.

  7. Esqido lashes are amazing, I adore the styles I have!

    1. I agree, Julie, I was so impressed with how many different options Esqido has. I remember your post(s) when you reviewed them or used them it looks. They look fabulous on you!

  8. I’m a false lash virgin too but I really want to learn how to use them. I also received the Nip + Fab and can’t wait to try them.

  9. I wish I could put on false lashes but I just can’t do it, I also couldn’t put on contacts either. I have the Nip+Fab waiting for me to come home and use it.

    1. I had beginners luck, Marcia, but somehow after that, I lost the knack. I have to try again with cheaper lashes before I try these pricey and super soft beauties from Esqido.

  10. I am happy when a true follower or blog reader wins the giveaway. I had to disqualify a lot because they didn’t do the requirements. I used to hoard faux lashes when I lost my real lashes to lash extension but since growing them back, I have given my stash away

    1. I don’t get it, if you enter a giveaway in hopes of winning, why not follow the rules? Grrrrr

  11. Ooh, can’t wait to hear what you think of the Nip + Fab shot. I’m almost done with their hyaluronic shot and quite like it.

    1. I’ve gotta finish taking photos of Nip+FAb and get going on using them. The HA shot sounds like something I’d love too!

  12. I must confess that I’ve never tried false lashes.

    1. I hadn’t tried false lashes either, Kerry, till I became a blogger. I’m still not good at applying them, and I’ve only worn drugstore lashes. So fingers crossed using these beauties.

  13. That Glycolic Radiance shot must be new, I haven’t seen it before!

    Shireen⎜Reflection of Sanity

    1. I must read the materials that came with the 3 Nip+Fab Glycolic Fix products. I know there’s also a HA Shot. So far, I tried the Daily Glycolic Pads, and they’re terrific. Instead of using toner lately, I’ve been using toning mist and HA toning essence, but I was surprised at 1) how gentle the glycolic pad was 2) how well it removed what was left of my foundation on my face even after doing a double cleanse.

  14. I just got a couple of pairs in from Esqido and I’m so excited to try them!

    1. I was practicing today with some inexpensive lashes before I try the luxurious Esqidos. But I used the Esqido glue, and it is far and away the best lash glue I have ever used! Eager to hear what you think 🙂

  15. Can’t wait to hear what you think of the lashes.

  16. I have yet to try false lashes! I can barely get myself to put on mascara, lol.

    1. Without mascara, you can’t see my lashes at all so most days I go for it. False lashes are a special occasion thing for me, but boy, are the Esqido lashes beautiful and not too hard to apply
