With the sad end of beach season in my neck of the woods, at least there’s something good about to happen: Ulta Beauty is hosting their 21 Days of Beauty for Fall 2015! It starts on September 6 and goes through September 26. Every day there is a different product or products on sale at deep discounts in the store and/or online. Each product is on sale for one day only, so you need to plan in advance. And they really are steals!
I am dying to get my Ulta Beauty catalogue with the complete calendar of sale items on it. But I just received a link to the calendar on the Ulta website. This link will take you to a list and photos and price of every product on sale for each of the 21 days!
I was lucky enough to get to pick out 4 of the sale products from the folks at Ulta Beauty and People StyleWatch to try out before the start of the big event:

Too Faced La Creme Color Drench Lip Cream
I’ve written about Too Faced La Creme Lipstick twice before, (Too Faced La Creme Drenched Lip Cream and “I Want Candy”. The Too Faced La Creme Lipstick formula is one of my all time favorites because it is soooooo creamy and so great on my often dry lips. In the winter, this is the lipstick that I really want to be wearing! It’s so good for lips because:
- it’s “infused with white lotus flower extract to hydrate, soothe and condition the lips
- it contains power peptides condition and smooth the delicate lip area”.
This time I got Honey Bear, a brown mauve or raisin color, that’s perfect for fall. Love, love, love it!
Too Faced La Creme Drenched Lip Cream is usually priced at $22, but on September 9, it’s 50% off – $11!!! What an opportunity to pick up a couple or even a few shades. If you haven’t tried Too Faced La Creme, you must! It comes in 20 gorgeous shades.
Dermablend Smooth Liquid Camo Foundation
Dermablend is known as the foundation that provides serious coverage. It’s designed to cover acne, scars, discoloration, you name it. I’ve always wanted to try it to see how it worked to camouflage my dark spots.
I was thrilled to receive a tube of Dermablend Smooth Liquid Camo Foundation in Cream. The shade is a good match for me, a light shade with pink/neutral undertones. And OMG, it really and truly is full coverage! And it doesn’t feel or look heavy. Plus it has SPF 25 from Titanium Dioxide. I wore it to the beach on Saturday, and it passed the hot weather beach test with flying colors. In fact, it’s a 16 hour long wear formula.
The foundation comes in 10 shades from fair to deep. Dermablend Smooth Liquid Camo Foundation is typically priced at $35, but on September 15, it is $25! This bargain is online only at ultra.com.
Stila Convertible Color
I’m a big fan of Stila cream blush. In fact, I was very sad because I’ve just about used up my favorite blush from one of the Stila limited edition holiday palettes. I hit pan quite some time ago, and recently I was down to scraping what’s left. I’m beyond thrilled to have a new favorite 🙂
Stila Convertible Color is a cream that can be used as a blush and also as a lip tint. Since I have so many lipsticks, I tend to use it primarily as a blush. The shade I received, Peony, is a great shade for fall. I thought it would be a bright peach/coral but it’s not: it’s a browned orange/red or brick.
I really love it because it is so different from all the other blushes I own. It’s a great neutral shade that looks terrific with all shades of peach or orange, nude, brown, and brick reds. But if Peony isn’t your shade, it comes in 5 other gorgeous colors.

IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes Mascara
I’ve been hearing all kinds of great things about IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes Mascara, but I hadn’t had a chance to try it. Now I know what the fuss is about. Hello Lashes Mascara adds both volume and length to lashes for an amped up look. The wand has a fluffy ball at the tip that makes it easy to get the little lashes toward the inner eye. My room had a view of the OSU stadium which was kind of neat. I had a roomie and I had to chuckle to myself when her husband said that you had to walk 26 miles to get anywhere there. I saw my surgeon yesterday and he said my incision looked good. I have to start massaging it now. Brian will do that because I can hardly stand to wash it. My neck is very very swollen but I do feel and look less bloated overall. My vision is 100% improved. The day after the surgery all my eye ball pain and swelling was gone. It will take a year to see what else improves health wise so I have high hopes. I see my general surgeon in a week for my next surgery which will be scheduled for later this month. Good times! lol I am fortunate to be able to have a chance at wellness again. 🙂
Laura, I’m so happy to hear that your vision has improved and the eye pain/swelling is gone. I have all my fingers crossed that you will see other improvements over time, and hopefully sooner rather than later. I remembered that you said you are having another, different surgery later this month. I think you are an amazing person to be able to go through all this. But hopefully, it will be worth it!

I made the mistake of looking more closely at the Ulta 21 days deals. I have wanted to try It Cosmetics Eyelift for many months now. Sept. 15th I may have to venture out for that one if I feel up to it. Reviews that I have read about it sound promising if I am remembering correctly.
A beauty blogger colleague said that she wants to get the IT Cosmetics Eyelift too, and I trust her judgment. I may have to add it to my list too. I hope you will be feeling up to going out in 2 weeks, even if just to browse!
I love that IT mascara, but I don’t think you tried anything that didn’t make me want to run out and buy it. I mean, the Dermablend looks practically invisible, color me jealous!

Ah, the new palette with the beautiful shimmery bright shades? I can’t remember the name of that palette. So pretty! I can understand that. We can’t buy everything. I haven’t finalized my list yet, but there are always a few real bargains that I can’t live without. I may get another Too Faced La Creme lipstick because I love them so much.
