Serums for the face have been a thing for a long time now. I noticed that eye serums came out about a year ago or so. And now body serums are making their entrance.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been trying out new City Beauty Body Sculpt Firming Complex, a lightweight body serum.
The nourishing white serum improves the look of loose, crepey, or wrinkled skin. It also is supposed to improve the look of cellulite, stretch marks and veins. It’s the antidote for upper arms, thighs, buttocks, and stomach that no longer look youthful and smooth.
City Beauty Body Sculpt Firming Complex’s key ingredients are:
- whey protein
- shea butter
- avocado extract
and lots of natural oils and hydrators.
My areas of concern are crepey skin especially on my upper arms and thighs as well as thinning skin on my arms and legs. I have been using Body Sculpt Firming Complex twice a day most days for about the past 3 weeks, and I see a difference. Honestly, I think a body serum was what I was missing. The ideal way to use Body Sculpt Firming Complex or any body serum is to exfoliate first to remove dead skin cells that can prevent the serum from working deep down rather than sitting on top of a bunch of dead cells. When I can, I dry brush with my Ida Body Care dry brush (reviewed here). The lightweight serum sinks into my skin and goes to work. It seems to creates a matrix to support my skin from the outside in. My skin looks smoother, firmer, less wrinkly, and less crepey. I am definitely impressed with City Beauty Body Sculpt Firming Complex because it seems to be making a difference. I haven’t been using it for that long, but it is decidedly promising for me.
Body Sculpt was introduced in the late spring of 2021, I think, so it hasn’t been out that long. I wanted to read the reviews to see if anyone else has positive results like I was seeing. Although there were only three reviews, they were all raves. Each of the women were in the 55-65 and 65+ age ranges, and they spoke about their joy at being able to wear sleeveless tops and dresses or new shorts without feeling self-conscious. They were extremely enthusiastic!
For my dry skin, I often use Body Sculpt along with a body lotion or butter, just as I use a face serum with a moisturizer or anti-aging cream. I think that Body Sculpt does the heavy lifting, so to speak, while the body lotion hydrates and seals in the good stuff.
City Beauty Body Sculpt comes in the familiar black and gold packaging, in a pump bottle containing 4.05 fl. oz./120 ml. The serum has a light floral scent that dissipates within a few seconds. One pump for each of my problem areas massaged into my skin in a circular motion is how I apply it. Body Sculpt is priced at $89, definitely a splurge for me, but so far it’s doing its job. If you have been looking for a body lotion or body butter to address your crepey skin, thinning skin or cellulite, Body Sculpt Firming Complex is worth checking out.
Like all other City Beauty products, it is cruelty-free, has no mineral oil, phthalates, sulfates, or parabens. There’s a 60 day no questions asked guarantee.

City Beauty Labor Day Sale
The City Beauty Labor Day sale is 30% off of everything! Woohoo! Although CB has relatively frequent sales, they have sales on everything rather infrequently. I love the everything sale because it gives me a chance to replace the products I love and use the most. Of course, I need another tube of City Lips, but I am considering buying a bottle of Body Sculpt Firming Complex to wait in the wings while I finish the bottle that I’m using now. 30% off of $89 puts Body Sculpt more within reach.
The City Beauty Labor Day sale goes from Thursday, September 2 through Monday, September 7/Labor Day. To get the 30% off, remember to use the code OFF30.
Speaking of Labor Day, I hope you are not in harm’s way from Hurricane Ida or the terrible fires out west and you’re able to enjoy this last week before Labor Day weekend. Fingers crossed for good weather!

I never thought of a body serum. What a great idea. I use my lotions regularly and this would be a great addition. 30% off is a real sale too!

I have been hearing about body serums recently, but the City Beauty Body Sculpt Firming Complex is the first of the body serums to come my way. Adding this body serum to my hydrating routine really makes a difference for me, whereas City Beauty’s InvisiCrepe Body Balm did not.
Are you serious? I have tried everything! Nothing seems to help with my upper arms!!!! I hate wasting more money! But if it really worked for you, I might try it !!!!
Whatever you choose to try for upper arms, you have to use it religiously, twice a day if you can. And exercising certainly doesn’t hurt. 🙂
I have a couple of body serums from other brands. This sounds worth trying, and 30% off is definitely a worthwhile discount!

I have noticed recently that there are body serums out there, but City Beauty’s Body Sculpt was the first to come my way. And I’ve had good results from it so far. 🙂
You won’t stop until my list of “must-haves” is long enough to beat out War and Peace! This sounds fantastic!
LOL!!
