A couple of years ago, I got a tube of Glyderm Gentle Face Cleanser in a goody bag/gift with purchase at dear departed Barneys NY. I put the tube in my travel bag and got to use it every now and then when I was away from home. Not long ago, I finally used up my small tube of Glyderm, and I wrote about it here.
I’ve been trying to catch up on some skincare products from PR companies that have been waiting in the wings for a while. Reviewing skincare products takes a looooooong time.
In that skincare stash, I came upon a full size bottle of Glyderm Face Cleanser. I thought I won the lottery, lol.
Glyderm Gentle Face Cleanser is exactly that: “a pH balanced non-alkaline base to gently remove impurities from the skin without stripping essential moisture or causing irritation. Ideal for even the most intolerant skin types, it features a low 0.2% concentration of glycolic acid to promote a smoother, brighter complexion.”
In addition to exfoliating, it helps improve large pores and blackheads. The lemon fruit acid in the formula helps tone and brighten.
Although I enjoy using gel-type cleansers during the summer, during the rest of the year lotion and cream cleansers are my cleansers of choice. My skin really appreciates the extra hydration and gentleness that lotion or cream cleansers provide.
Glyderm Gentle Face Cleanser really is a wonderful facial cleanser for sensitive and very sensitive skin as well as for dry skin. Actually, it is good for all skin types including normal, combination, oily, acne-prone, and mature skin as well as sensitive or dry skin.
This gentle cleanser comes out of the pump bottle a milky white lotion. It goes on creamy and stays creamy. If you prefer cleansers that provide foam or suds, you’ll want to pass on this one. But if you like a creamy cleanser that leaves your skin feeling soft, smooth and hydrated, check this one out.
I really love this cleanser, but I decided to see how others felt about it. I was amazed that it gets incredibly high ratings and glowing reviews on every retail website I looked at.
Glyderm Gentle Face Cleanser, in its slim blue pump bottle, contains 8 fl. oz./236 ml. The regular price is $28, and it is sold at Lovelyskin.com where it’s currently on sale for 20% off ($22.40), Dermstore.com, Skinstore.com, beautycounter.com, and on the Glyderm website. Glyderm is physician-created, science-based and I would say it’s an affordable luxury.
Ingredients: Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Glyceryl Stearate, Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Cocamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine, Sodium Chloride, Phenoxyethanol, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Glycolic Acid, Alcohol, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Caprylyl Glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Hexylene Glycol.
This sounds like the type of cleanser that I would love. I thought that I knew every brand that BNY stocked, and I don’t remember this brand at all! What a score when you found the full size bottle in your stash! It really does take a very looooong time to review skincare products!

Affordable luxury it is. My esthetician friend likes this brand a lot
