Last Saturday, I received two brand new eye makeup products from CoverGirl:
- The Super Sizer by Lashblast Mascara
- Intensify Me Liquid Eyeliner
I started out with the mascara, and I am so excited about it that I had to let you know about it ASAP.
CoverGirl The Super Sizer Mascara
I love mascara, and I have quite a few different ones that I really like. Yet I’m always looking for HG mascaras. And CoverGirl The Super Sizer is right up at the tippity-top for me!
First, we should talk about the wand. Now I happen to love the wand because it’s the kind of wand that I prefer with a little twist. Instead of being a big, fluffy wand, it’s a thin wand with plastic teeth of varying sizes that, in spite of their relatively small size, really do the job. The wand kinda reminds me of the wand on Too Faced LashGasm, one of my top 5 mascaras. I prefer this slim type of wand with plastic teeth because it is the most clump-free wand for me, and it really lengthens and coats. What makes the CoverGirl Super Sizer wand different is that it has an extra row of teeth at the very tip to get at every little lash when you effortlessly twist the wand around – it’s just intuitive and it really works!
The formula appears to be a regular formula, meaning I don’t perceive any fibers in the formula. It’s smooth and clump-free.
Between the thin wand with the hardworking tip and the formula itself, my lashes get perfectly coated – even the tiny ones the inner corner, the ones at the outer corner and every one in between, giving me a fanned out look that I like. My lashes look very long and nicely thickened. And they really maintain the curl. CoverGirl claims 400% larger. I don’t know what percent, but they look pretty darn big to me!
Plus, no flaking. The color stays put.
Unless you are wedded to the big fluffy wands, you must try this new addition to the CoverGirl Lashblast mascara line. Although I liked the clump-free aspect of the original lashblast mascaras, my complaint was that they didn’t make my lashes look big enough. The new Super Sizer definitely makes them look huge! I LOVE this mascara (“all caps” is necessary here)!
On the CoverGirl website, I found the following shades that The Super Sizer comes in:
- very Black 800
- Black Brown 810c1
- Black 805c2
The price is about $6.85 for 12 ml/4 fl. oz. Made in the U.S. I haven’t seen it at local CVS stores yet, but it should be everywhere soon. If you can’t wait, there are links below for the product at Amazon.
CoverGirl Intensify Me Liquid Eyeliner
I must start out by saying I am not a liquid eyeliner aficionado. Not at all. After all this time, I still have a hard time with it (with the exception of Jordana Cat Eye Liner and Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner, both with the tiny brushes).
Intensify Me is supposed to apply with the ease and with the control of a pencil, but have the look and staying power of a liquid.
The pencil-like barrel is thin and easy to hold. The felt tip, that CoverGirl calls paddle-shaped, can be held on the thin side for a thin line or turned to the thick side for a thicker line.
When I opened mine, it already had a blob of liquid liner at the tip. Mistake #1: I should have wiped it off instead of using it as is. Mistake #2: I tried to apply it to my upper waterline, and it dripped. What made me think that was a good idea?
I used it to tightline between my upper lashes, and it worked fairly well for that purpose although it got on a couple of my lashes and made them stick together. Then, I used it to line my upper lashline. At first, I got a pretty good thin line.
But because it wasn’t perfect, I went back over it. Because I’m a klutz, I couldn’t get it to stay on the thin side of the tip as I lined my lid so I ended up with a thicker line than I usually draw.
After trying it, I think Intensify Me Eyeliner is a perfectly good liquid eyeliner. Those of you who actually know how to apply liquid liner will probably like it. For women like me who always struggle with liquid liner, you may continue to struggle, too, but maybe this will do the trick for you.
CoverGirl Intensify Me Liquid Eyeliner is priced at about $8, and it too should be in stores very soon.
What do you think? Which new CoverGirl product do you think you might try?

I had this mascara on my wish list. Relieved to know that it is worthy of making that list! 🙂
I love it, Laura! It really makes my lashes long and fanned out even better than L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza and YSL Mascara!
Wow, that mascara makes your lashes look awesome, I definitely want to try it. Also, that liner tip is so cool, I love how you can make it thick or thin just by turning it! I actually want to try both of these now, thanks for the post!

The mascara is my current favorite, hands down, Kristina. I think the liner is a good one, but I’m challenged when it comes to liquid liner. You would probably do fine with it 🙂
I received both of these, but I haven’t gotten a chance to play with them yet! I hope to this weekend. Your lashes look ahhh-mazing! I hope they bring some life to mine. I’m really curious about the liner because, I’ll admit it, I’m horrible with liquid liner. Maybe this form of it will help me come out with a better outcome!

I was still pathetic with the liquid liner though I’ll keep at it. But this new mascara from CoverGirl is fantastic! If CoverGirl The Super Sizer had a real brown version, I’d be returning my unopened Diorshow mascara.
You’ve sold me on another product!–again! I, too, have many mascaras, even a Lancome Grandiose that’s still in the box. But your lashes look so great, that I must try. If it does for me what it does for you, I’ll be saving a lot of money.–To use on foundations (of which I have way too many–a never ending quest)
You did good with the eyeliner!

Thank you, Jane! I’m pitiful with liquid eyeliner (except for those great little Jordana Cat Eye Liner brushes!). I really do think that this new CoverGirl The Super Sizer is all that! And it’s so inexpensive!. I was not a big fan of Lashblast because it created no volume at all. This has knocked my sox off. Let me know what you think once you get it!
I’m definitely interested to try this liner! I am one of those people that are wedded to big, fluffy mascara brushes BUT I will totally go into this one open minded because it looks like it worked really well for you!

The wand on The Super Sizer plus the formula just worked so much better than any other I’ve tried, especially in terms of lengthening and fanning out. Eager to see what you think!
I’m excited to try these both. I love the effect the mascara gives your lashes – so defined. I need that in my life!

That’s the word, Judy, “defined”! Thank you. It absolutely does a great job. I am sold on this mascara!
Although I’m a lover of fluffy natural bristle wands, this mascara sounds great and the tiny wand seems perfect for the lower lash line!

If you love fluffy wands, you may not like this one since it’s “anti-fluffy”, but it does an amazing job on both upper and lower lashes
That mascara looks heavenly. I like how tiny wands can coat every lash and won’t clump up on the lower lashes.

Right! The longer teeth at the tip really do a great job at getting every lash. Just love this mascara!
I got these products too! I’ve been testing them out and will post next week. I love how separating the mascara is! I used the liner a few times, then today used my all time fave Stila Stay All Day Liner. Honestly, the Covergirl one works really well compared the expensive option! The top is so weird but actually works.
That’s great, Tess, that Intensify Me worked as well as your Stila!! I feel that way about the mascara – I even prefer it to YSL!
I absolutely love the way that your lashes look with that mascara! I think that it just takes a while to get the hang of using a liquid liner. A good cheat is to do a fine line with your favorite eye pencil and then trace over it with the liquid liner.

I’m liquid liner challenged because I have an uneven upper lashline, unfortunately. I don’t want to pull out the lashes that are “out of line” so it makes some liquids very hard to use. And then, there’s the problem of my contact lenses. I should put them in after I apply liner so I can see, but then the lens solution messes up my makeup. It’s always something’!
Lovely review! I had a little mishap with the eyeliner as well! I didn’t know if I should tightline with it but I’m going to try it out! I loved the mascara too! I especially love the packaging haha, the color is too pretty!

Yes, the aqua shade is so nice. I just love the mascara wand and formula. This has truly become my favorite mascara 🙂
These are scheduled for testing, tomorrow. I’m excited! The mascara made your lashes look fabulous.

Thank you, Erika! I hope the mascara works as well for you. I honestly can give up my expensive mascaras now 😉
Yay! Just got this myself. I cannot wait to try! It looks amazing! <3
You’ll have fun with them, Shipra!
Love that the liquid liner applicator comes in two different thicknesses. That’s a first!
It’s kinda cool, Cybele, and great for those who know what they’re doing with liquid liner 😉
I can’t wait to try the mascara now. It looks so wonderful on you. The eyeliner isn’t a typical point and even though I’m good with liquid liner I think I might have a hard time with it too. I like a thin line and this may not do that.
I hope you like the mascara, too, Marcia. I think it’s perfect! I am a real klutz with liquid liner especially since I have an uneven lashline, but I’m sure you’ll have no trouble with it. It is quite innovative. Great for making the thinner at the inner corner, thicker at the outer corner line that I have no hope of doing!
The mascara looks good! That brush shape looks really promising to me.
That wand really works for me!
wow! I like how well this mascara works on your lashes! I have to try this mascara 😉

That mascara sounds amazing, cannot wait to try it. I hope it will be released in a waterproof version too!

I don’t know about waterproof, Agata, but I hope it does so you’ll try it.
The curl looks SO nice! I haven’t tried these yet… def doing it this weekend!

You should! This formula and wand definitely work so well for me 🙂 Curious to find out how you and the others feel about the two new products from CoverGirl
OOO I love the idea of that liner!
I think it’s definitely a great concept for those who are more skilled than I!
I definitely want to try that liner. The mascara packaging seems so large for the skinny brush… definitely want to check these out.
You’re right, Honey. I was hoping the big tube meant lots of stuff the formula inside. I am completely addicted to this mascara. I hope you get the liner. You’ll know how to handle it 😉
OOh that mascara looks great. Not too keen on the nib of the liner but I’d love to try the mascara! xxx
Yes, the mascara is absolutely fantastic! Hopefully, it’s a worldwide launch
I found the mascara flakey unfortunately, and the liner didn’t last all day on me 🙁
Justina recently posted…Mother’s Day Gift Ideas 2015
Flakey?? Really? Maybe you got a bad tube. I’ve worn it everyday for a week, and it’s so reliable. So sorry, Justina. 🙁 I’m not a fan of liquid liner so I’ll only wore it one day, and it did OK but it didn’t look so great, probably the way I applied it.
I’m a huge fan of CoverGirl mascaras! Right now I’m actually using their Flamed Out one. This mascara sounds great! By the way you describe it, it kind of reminds me of the It Cosmetics Lash Mascara Primer. Have you tried it? You might like it. It has a very thin wand, which makes it very easy to control!
Sammi the Beauty Buff recently posted…My Favorite Things: April 2015
Right now, I’m thrilled to find a mascara that I love that costs less than $7. I am very happy not to buy prestige mascaras, at least for a while 😉
Wow! That mascara looks amazing!
Lisa Heath recently posted…Chaos & Crocodiles Once Upon A Unicorn Collection Swatches & Review
I think it is amazing, Lisa. Definitely worth trying. It’s my new HG mascara
I actually ignored it before because the clunkier packaging usually has those GIANT wands and I end up with more mascara on my eyelid than on my lashes!
Lisa Heath recently posted…Chaos & Crocodiles Once Upon A Unicorn Collection Swatches & Review
For some reason, Lisa, this has a big tube, but a thin wand. Hoping that means there’s lot of mascara in there, but probably it’s just a thick-walled tube. At any rate, I think it’s worth a try. It certainly works well for me 🙂
I need that mascara asap!
for me, it’s been fantastic, Sheila!
I love LashBlast. This mascara sounds like a must try for sure!
For me, Jamie, it’s even better than the original Lashblast. It gives more volume and length will still defining and no-clumping.
I loved the Covergirl Lashblast line but I found that over the course of the day it would irritate my eyes. Did you notice any sensitivity with this new version?
None at all, Lisa. I suffer from dry eye which is a burning in my eyes, and I haven’t had any problem with The Super Size Mascara at all. But then, I don’t have a problem with the original Lashblast in green or the brown Lashblast in the orange tube. However, if CoverGirl eye makeup doesn’t agree with you, perhaps you should pass.
Your lashes look great with the mascara. The liner isn’t dark enough for me. I like my liners to be jet black, and opaque.
The mascara really worked out well for me. It’s my new favorite. I can see what you mean about the liner shade. I’m not a fan of the liner, I’d rather use Jesse’s Girl because it’s easier for me to apply if I’m doing liquid.
Excited to try the mascara on my lower lashline!
Stephanie Louise (@StephLouiseATB) recently posted…Jolen Lets You Go Bleach or Bare this Season!
It does well on my lower lashline, but truth be told, I get the most defined, fanned out upper lashes of any mascara I own. Hope you enjoy it
