Stick makeup of all kinds is so perfect for saving time. A few swipes here and there, and I’m out the door.
A couple of months ago, Glo Skin Beauty sent me two of their new HD Mineral Foundation Sticks to try out.
The line consists of 12 shades that range from fair to deep. Most skin tones will find a match.
I received Fawn 5C (cool) and Fresco 3N (neutral). There are warm shades too. I believe that I chose Fawn and Fresco from the shades that I saw on the Glo Skin Beauty website. Both looked like they would be a match for my fair-light cool-toned skin. In fact, they are both a close enough match that I can wear both of them – Fawn is a touch too dark and Fresco is a touch too yellow.
Although IMO the shade swatches on the website are not a perfect match for the actual foundation shades, it is possible to get a decent match by choosing online. To get the best match, you can always find a local retailer.
Glo HD Mineral Foundation Stick is described as a 4 in 1 stick: foundation, concealer, contour, and highlight. I use my two sticks primarily as foundation and concealer, but I also sometimes use Fresco, the lighter of my two shades, as a matte highlighter. If I had one of the deeper shades, I would definitely use it for contouring because these sticks are so easy to apply and blend.
The ease of application and blending as well as light-medium coverage and the lightweight feel make new Glo HD Mineral Foundation Sticks a pleasure to use. I can blend the stick with my fingers, a foundation brush or a blending sponge. It has a satin finish, and it feels so velvety to the touch.
Because my skin is so dry, I love the fact that Glo HD Mineral Foundation Stick contains some hyaluronic acid. And the natural minerals provide my skin with some protection from environmental stressors.
As a foundation, it lasts on my dry skin till I take it off. But because it provides light-medium buildable coverage, after a couple of hours I sometimes have to apply another dab on top of my two darkest dark spots that tend to want to make their presence known. Yet that little touchup takes only a second or two. (Not my best photo, but it’ll give you an idea of the foundation coverage.)

I love how easy stick foundation is too. I’m interested in this one because of the HA too — thats my favorite skincare ingredient! I’ll have to look into this one again!

If it works well for dry skin that is a bonus for me. I love the convenience of a stick foundation especially on my 10 minute makeup days.
