Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads

Last year, I made a New Year’s Resolution to exfoliate more often. Well, so much for that one. I didn’t renew that resolution this year. My intentions were good, but it seemed to be too much to do at night before going to bed: applying a thick exfoliating cream with gritty beads that are hard to get off my skin and that may end up polluting the water. So, exfoliating became an every now and then thing.

A couple of months ago, I had an opportunity to try Radical Skincare Instant Revitalizing Mask, and here’s my review in case you missed it. Because of its heavenly citrus scent, the unique pop-rocks effect, and the fact that it doesn’t dry my skin, it is still my favorite mask. So I was eager to try another product from Radical Skincare, a good-for-you skincare brand created by two sisters whose father was a surgeon who helped heal patients who suffered from burns.

Radical Skincare Anti-aging Exfoliating Pads

I’ve been using Radical Skincare Age-Defying Exfoliating Pads every other night for several weeks, and I’m hooked. It is soooo much easier exfoliating with a saturated quilted cotton pad than dealing with an exfoliating cream and a face cloth. The pads are just about, if not completely, fragrance-free. I use the pad as if it were a toner with extra benefits.

Radical Skincare Anti-aging Exfoliating Pads

In addition to removing any traces of my CC cream, it works to protect, repair and soothe my skin via its proprietary Trylacel technology that Radical Skincare describes as:

  • combining “multiple antioxidants, maximum levels of anti-aging active ingredients, and soothing ingredients to deliver the best in protection and repair for all skin types. It maintains stability and potency of actives to deliver radical results.”

The exfoliating pads also contain AHA and BHA from fruit acid that exfoliate and provide anti-aging benefits as well as chamomile to soothe skin, especially sensitive skin and skin for over 40 gals.

Radical Skincare Anti-aging Exfoliating Pads:

  • tighten and firm skin
  • reduce the size and appearance of pores and fine lines
  • remove excess sebum while maintaining the good skin oils that hydrate skin.

This product is a cinch to use, and it’s good for sensitive skin like mine, so there’s no reason for me not to use it. How nice is that? And as far as I’m concerned, more (anti-aging) is better!

Ok u convinced me. I will try it. I love being able to follow your lead on these things. Thanks.

And it doesn’t have beads that can pollute the waters and harm birds and other animals, as you pointed out with some other exfoliators. Let me know what you think about ’em if you do get them, Melanie 🙂

  2. I have pretty much given up on “mechanical” exfoliators (face scrubs) in favor of products like this one. Haven’t tried this brand, but I happen to like the Triple Peel Pads made by Elizabeth Grady (60 pads for $36.00)–it’s like having a mini-lactic acid peel facial! I definitely see smoother, plumper skin after exfoliating this way, and I think moisturizers applied afterwards are even more effective. My 16 year old is using it too and it seems to be helping her acne, yay! I think it even helps to fade dark spots and scars.

    Embrace technology!! 🙂

I remember you mentioning the Triple Peel Pads when we were on our way to the beach at the end of the summer. Glad to hear they’re helping fade dark spots and scars, too. What’s the ingredient? And yes, the majority of the time technology rocks!

  3. Something new to try! I’m currently finish up an exfoliating product from MyChelle, which I like, but can never resist trying something new.

Haha, Monica, there was soooo many new products to try. This is a good one because of the AA ingredients and the lack of beads/grit. I do like MyChelle products too, but I never tried their exfoliating product.

Bonjour Allison, I definitely must give these a try, I have read nothing buy rave reviews and since I am a daily exfoliator (I use the Michael Todd Fruit Polisher), these pads would be a welcomed change. Merci beaucoup!!! Nathalie xoxo

    1. Allison says:

Bonsoir, Nathalie, they are very nice exfoliating pads! De rien!
How did you like the Michael Todd Fruit Polisher exfoliator? I am curious about the other MT products because I was mystified by the anti-aging product I bought a couple of months ago. I almost sprang for an eye moisturizer or serum, not sure which it was, that was on sale for $25, but I decided to wait and do some research on the product before buying. xoxo Allison

  5. Hey Allison, althought I find there are a few too many extracts I must say that this might be a nice option for my daughter’s teen skin. If only it wasn’t that expensive. 🙁

Bonjour Allison, I absolutely love Michael Todd’s products. After years of using high end products (Laprairie,Erno Lazlo & La Mer) I decided to research a host of products and I kept reading about MT and its organic line… so I ordered the Anti-Aging regime which has been wonderful for my 50+ skin. All of the products are aloe based (not water) and I can honestly say that I have noticed a wonderful difference with my skin since I have been using them, which has been approx 6 months. If you would like a more detailed breakdown of all of the products that I use, let me know…. btw as an added welcomed bonus, these products are very reasonably priced. A bientot Allison xoxoxo

  7. It’s too bad it contains Alcohol as that tends to dry my skin. But I’m glad it works so well for you!

    1. Allison says:

Gio, I noticed the alcohol on the ingredient list, and I was concerned about using it because I have both dry and sensitive skin. But the other ingredients seem to mitigate the effects of the alcohol and I have had no trouble using it. Lucky, I guess!
