In spite of being a beauty blogger, jewelry is my jam. Especially earrings. I must have over 100 pairs of earrings easily. When it comes to receiving a gift, earrings are always welcome IMHO. I am an earring addict. I can probably tell you how I acquired or for what occasion I received every single pair I own. I love earrings because they are forever; they don’t get used up!
Variety in the kind of earrings I own is important to me. I have all types: studs, short drop earrings, long drop earrings, traditional, boho, unusual, whimsical, fine jewelry, fun jewelry, expensive, affordable.
I thought I had every kind of earring covered until I received a gift from Jeff’s older daughter: a new pair of earrings from Chrysalism, an artisan-made brand that is sold on my favorite website Etsy! Chrysalism is owned by Mylia who started the business in her home in Colorado in 2011 to channel her feelings after her father passed away. She had been an artist and a seamstress, but jewelry was new for her. She discovered that jewelry-making was her calling.
Chrysalism’s theme is “Talismanic Adornments for the Bohemian Soul”. A talisman is an object that has magical powers that can draw good luck or protect its owner or wearer. Chrysalism’s jewelry and the jewelry maker herself are inspired by the earth – the pieces are made from crystals, raw gemstones, feathers, and other natural materials. In addition to earrings, Chrysalism also makes pendant necklaces. The stones themselves and the designs are absolutely amazing. I’ll show you a few photos, but you must must must go to Chrysalism’s Etsy shop and see for yourself.
Jeff’s daughter chose for me a pair of long drop earrings made from a deep blue-green raw gemstones set on long oval-shaped black copper wires. With all my zillions of earrings, I don’t have anything like these earrings. I love them!! They are perfect for summer to wear with jeans, denim shorts or a sundress. I’ll wear my hair in a pony tail or up so my longish, thick hair will be out of the way to show off the unique black copper wire and the amazing stones that are wire-wrapped at the tip. These have a 2.75″ wire drop, and the gemstone is 5/8″. On me, they’re at jaw level. They are as light as a feather to wear. In the Etsy shop, the Raw Crystal/Raw Gemstone Dangle Earrings are the first item, and the stones come in different colored crystals. $24
Looking through their online inventory, I’m hyperventilating because there are so many pieces that I would love to own! I am very interested in the stars, moon and planets, and Chrysalism has crescent moon earrings with stones dangling from the moons. The pair below with green ombre stones is priced at $48. There is a collection of planet or solar system pendants on bronzy chain necklaces that I am particularly smitten by. $24
There is another collection of gunmetal chain necklaces with fascinating pendants made from green jasper that have the most amazing natural patterns in the stones. $24. Similar necklaces are crafted with agate or genuine turquoise also with incredible patterns in the stones.
I’m also salivating over dangle earrings with multi-color smooth crystals called “fluorites” that look like magic to me. $24

I adore earrings too, Allison but holy cow, easily a 100 pairs?! LOL! Recently I have started to appreciate jewelry more and have slowly started collecting more earrings and rings but I tend to love dainty ones over the statement ones.

I know, I’m over the top when it comes to jewelry! I laugh because most days I wear either diamond studs or pearl studs. One of my holes is getting longer and is beginning to need surgery so I don’t wear heavy dangling earring very often anymore though I love them. The earrings that I just got from Chrysalism are light as a feather luckily.
I have a ton of earrings also! A lot of costume jewelry though, to be honest. I should really go through and purge. These earrings are gorgeous. I love the planet/solar system jewelry. I love the story of how the founder started her business. It’s so wonderful to find peace in making others happy – because you know jewelry makes us happy!

So many pretties! I love the crescent moon earrings and the fluorites are gorgeous! Since I’m working from home now, I don’t wear earrings much, but I would make an exception for these!
