Reminding Myself about Georgette Klinger 3x Makeup Remover

I Bought This, Affiliate Links

Don’t you just love it when you find something in your stash that you forgot you had? I recently found my bottle of Georgette Klinger 3x Makeup Remover. What’s really pathetic is I wrote about this product back in September, put it away when my cleaners came to help clean my house, and then lost it. So here it is again!

GK History

Georgette Klinger, a brand I have been using since I was in my 20s, is such an underrated and little known brand. As I’ve written before, my friend in college in New York used to go to the Georgette Klinger Salon on Madison Avenue (paid for by her mother), and she used all the products suited for young skin. She’d let me use them, and then once I started working, I would shop there, usually during their semi-annual sales. Twenty plus years later, the company was sold, and under the new ownership, it ended up failing and going out of business. Boo.

About 5 years ago, the family repurchased the Georgette Klinger brand name. They revived but also significantly changed the product line to emphasize contemporary ingredients and cruelty-free formulas. I’m a fan.

Georgette Klinger 3x Makeup Remover

Before I discovered micellar water, I always used makeup remover. Actually, it was Maybelline Eye Makeup Remover that I used for decades.

The GK 3x Makeup Remover was surprising to me. It’s a white, milky, thick lotion.

Frankly, the first time I used it, I was kind of afraid to put it on my eyes. I have sensitive eyes, and I was worried it would burn. It didn’t. I am so happy that I can use this makeup remover with no irritation whatsoever.

Not only is a gentle to my eyes, it’s gentle on my skin. It does a terrific job removing both my eye and face makeup without drying out or stripping my skin.  What I like most about it is that it moisturizes my eyelashes and my skin.

To remove my eye makeup, I apply some of the lotion to a cotton pad and wipe till a pad is clean. For me, two swipes does it. To remove face makeup, I wet my face and apply a small amount of lotion to my hands, apply it to my face and rinse. Because I am a fan of double cleansing, I follow with my cleanser du jour.

3x Makeup Remover is fragrance-free and dye-free as well as cruelty-free and paraben-free.

Shopping Info

Georgette Klinger 3x Makeup Remover comes in two sizes:

My suggestion is buy the big one and pour some over into a travel friendly container when you’re traveling!

Georgette Klinger skincare products are sold on the Georgette Klinger website, on HSN, at Birchbox, and on Amazon. The GK website has a 30 day money back guarantee, a rewards program, and sends two free samples with every purchase. Although they have free shipping specials from time to time, most of the time free shipping kicks in at $35+. I would say that Georgette Klinger skincare is moderately priced, and you get a big bang for your buck.

  1. She was so popular back in the day. I remember reading about her and her line all the time in the fashion magazines. It’s nice to see the line back and I hope it continues to be successful.
