Because I get sent so many skincare products for review, I often have to stop using a product I love (for a while) and move onto a new product to test. Occasionally – actually more often that I care to admit – I forget about the former product and go on to something else.

While looking for a Butter London discontinued lip crayon that I put away a while ago to replace one that I am just finishing up, I came across a lot of skincare products that I loved but forgot about. I started using them again, and I thought I’d share them with you.
Tatcha Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate
Memory skincare products are so cool. After you scoop some of the product out, the jelly-like “cream” returns to a flat, smooth surface. It has nothing to do with efficacy, but it looks like the product is brand new every time you use it. Tatcha Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate is made with memory technology, and it’s so fun to use because of that.
Tatcha’s products are so luxurious and this one is no different. It comes with a small golden spoon that is attached by an indigo cloth elastic to the top of the jar so it doesn’t get lost. How beautiful is that?
The white gel-cream almost liquefies as I apply it with my fingers. It is incredibly smooth, rich, hydrating, and protective. I love it. So happy I rediscovered it. But I am sad to announce that it is discontinued 🙁
PCA Skin Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel
PCA Skin Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel was my go-to eye product for a couple of years. The only issue I had with it was that it was and still is very expensive. Imagine my joy when I came across an unopened tube in my stash!
This eye gel is a thick clear gel in an easy to use tube that lets me squeeze out just the amount I need. Not only does it protect the efficacy of the product, it is cleaner to use. The gel is smooth, hydrating and it feels like it applies a protective coating to my eye area. Not only can it be applied below the eye, it can be use around the entire area. It truly feels firming. Now I remember why I loved it so much. Sadly the price has gone up a few dollars to $90
Derma E Hydrating Night Cream
When I was going through some boxes in my office containing products that I have yet to try out for review, I came across an unopened travel size jar of Derma E Hydrating Night Cream with Hyaluronic Acid along with a few other Derma E travel size products. Next while searching the storage area under my bathroom sink, I found a half used full size jar of the same cream. I started using it again, and I am delighted I rediscovered this rich, super hydrating, soothing night cream. Derma E really makes fantastic and affordable skincare products. Check out Derma E Hydrating Night Cream for the colder weather to come. Around $23 though prices vary by retailer
Hanalei Sugar Lip Scrub
Hanalei is a Hawaiian brand of natural, plant-based lip products that I bought at Sephora a couple of years ago. I am a fan of Hanalei Lip Treatment that comes in both full size and travel size tubes, in clear and translucent colors.
Just last week, I tried another lip scrub that I came across in my stash that I remembered had a great vanilla ice cream flavor. What I had forgotten was how grainy it was. It really ripped up my lips, so I tossed it. Glad I re-found my super gentle Hanalei Sugar Lip Scrub!
Hanalei Sugar Lip Scrub has tiny sugar crystals made from Hawaiian sugar cane that are not jagged, pointy and painful to use. The crystals are immersed in plant-based oils such as Hawaiian Kukui Oil that make the scrub hydrating while it removes dead skin. And the sweet taste is good enough to eat! $25
Derma MD Soy Moisturizer Intense Healing Creme
I have no idea whether Derma MD Soy Moisturizer Intense Healing Creme, a fluffy, light green, rich gel-cream was designed as a facial moisturizer or a body moisturizer. I used to use it as a body moisturizer, and that’s how I am using it again now. It is a fabulous moisturizer for the dry skin on my legs or anywhere.
Sadly, Derma MD Soy Moisturizer Intense Healing Creme is no longer for sale on the Derma MD website. It looks like they have revamped their entire product line, and now the vast majority of their products come in airless pumps, yay! I noticed that they still make their lovely Pink Silk Face Firming Rejuvenator. Next, I went to try Derma MD Pineapple Papaya Enzyme Cleanser. They describe it as a gentle daily cleanser that removes dead skin cells. I can only imagine how wonderful it smells! Check out Derma MD created by and owned by a woman dermatologist!
I went back to Sephora to find a couple of these brands, namely Hanalei and PCA Skin, and it looks like Sephora has dropped them. I guess brands only get so long to prove themselves at Sephora. I get it, but boo! Fortunately, they are still available elsewhere.
I am such a big fan of Tatcha Overnight Memory Serum Concentrate, and recently pulled mine out to use it again. They really make such extraordinary products!

You and I are on a similar wavelength. I pulled out all my eye creams that I was using but stopped to test another. They are now back in action to remind me what I liked about them. You’ve found some great products to use once again.

I relate to that so much Allison! Sometimes I feel like reviewing all these amazing products puts me in a hamster wheel, so it’s always nice to take a break and rediscover old favorites.
