Revive Your Skin & Your Spirits with Derma E Mood Enhancing Skin Beneficial Mists

In spite of the fact that I have a humidifier built onto my furnace, my skin still feels somewhat dry and tight toward the end of the afternoon. As a result, I have become a mister. I still hate spraying myself in the face, but I am getting better at it, lol.

A couple of weeks ago, I received a package from Derma E for Valentine’s Day with three different bottles of their relatively new Mood Enhancing Skin Beneficial Mists that are a cocktail of essential oils, purified spring water, witch hazel, aloe vera, sodium hyaluronate (an absorbable form of hyaluronic acid) and other ingredients to hydrate and refresh the skin and elevate mood. Each has a different scent to foster different mood states.

3 bottles of Derma E Mood Skin Mists in 3 scents & formulas: Uplift, Create, Calm and product card

  • Uplift: An “uplifting and therapeutic blend of Eleuthero & Artic Root, citrus waters, coconut essence, and witch hazel” I primarily smell the citrus scent. I like to use this one in the morning for a boost.

Ingredients:Water (Aqua), Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Juice, Glycerin (Vegetable Derived), Polysorbate 20 (Vegetable Derived), Phenoxyethanol, Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Allantoin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Organic Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Jasminum Officinale (Jasmine) Flower Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Acanthopanax Senticosus (Eleuthero) Root Extract, Rhodiola Rosea Root Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Citrus Paradisi (Grapefruit) Peel Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Fragrance (Parfum).

  • Create: A “revitalizing therapeutic blend of Cordyceps & Cardamom, aromatic waters, coconut essence, and witch hazel“. To me, Create smells like spearmint which is good since there’s spearmint in the mix. Very refreshing! I tend to use this one in the afternoon for a pick-me-up.

  • Calm: A “relaxing and calming therapeutic blend of Amla & Gotu Kola, herbal waters, coconut essence, and witch hazel” I would say that Calm was created to use at night, before bed, or to relieve stress. I expected this one to smell like lavender because lavender is what I associate with stress relief, winding down before bed. But I was wrong: there’s no lavender in this one, and it doesn’t smell like lavender at all. In fact, this has the most herbal scent that to me is unidentifiable.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Organic Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Juice, Glycerin (Vegetable Derived), Polysorbate 20 (Vegetable Derived), Rosa Damascena Flower Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Water, Allantoin, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Panthenol (Provitamin B5), Organic Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract, Myristica Fragrans (Nutmeg) Extract, Ocimum Sanctum Leaf Extract, Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Oil, Mentha Arvensis (Peppermint) Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Centella Asiatica Extract, Fragrance (Parfum).

My two favorites are Uplift and Create. If I had to pick one, I like Create the best because I love the spearmint scent and it seems unique in a facial/body mist.

I like these mists because they are:

  • lightly hydrating and make my dry skin feel more comfortable throughout the day
  • appealing because of their scents, though I am not sure if they actually affect my mood. Unlike my essential oil diffuser that keeps putting out essential oil scents into the air over time, the Derma E Mood Enhancing Mists just give me a spritz of scent that doesn’t last very long.

If I had one wish about these mists, I wish the spray produced a finer mist. Because I find it so difficult to spray my face, I need as fine a mist as possible. Sometimes, I will spray these mists onto a cotton pad and dab it on my skin. That’s fine for first thing in the morning or at night after I take off my makeup, but the cotton pad approach isn’t so great during the day. Sadly, it is hard to find sprays that are fine enough for me. Jurlique Rosewater Mist and Georgette Klinger Coconut Toner Mist, so far, are the only two that have the “superfine” spray that I can handle. I’m sure most people would be fine with the Derma E pump spray.

Each recyclable plastic one ounce pump bottle is priced at $18.95. They’re available on the Derma E website  where right now everything is 25% off with the code SALE25 and at Ulta Beauty where they are called Derma E Mood Rituals.

Derma E Mood Enhancing Skin Beneficial Mists and all of their products are cruelty-free, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, GMO-free,  and recyclable.

So if you’re looking for a way to get additional hydration on to your skin, on your face or body, or a way to refresh your makeup during the day, check out Derma E Mood Enhancing Skin Beneficial Mists. It’s a good way to get a little mood enhancement while doing something good for your skin.

And I almost forgot, Happy Valentine’s Day!

These sound rather nice, especially for the dryness associated with winter. I hate misting my face too, but I tolerate it in the summer lol.
