A few days ago, I mentioned that I restocked my signature scent, Musc Ravageur by Frederic Malle, at Barney’s in order to qualify for the Barney’s NY “glowing” Fall Beauty Bag.
To make the minimum to qualify for the bag, I needed a small additional purchase, and in doing so, I came upon a lovely affordable treat: Rituals Ritual of Sakura Flourishing Bed and Body Mist in Cherry Blossom, a pretty pale pink fragrance.
I’ve written previously about how much I love Rituals Zensation Organic Rice Milk & Cherry Blossom Foaming Shower Gel that is now called Rituals of Sakura Shower Foam. It is a dream to use. The way it foams up on contact with water is amazing. And the light cherry blossom scent while using it and that remains on my skin afterwards is just heaven. But the scent is delicate and it doesn’t last too long on the skin. I’ve been pairing it with InStyle ACTIVEssence Body Mist in Cherry Blossom, and they work quite well together.
But I was happy to discover the shower gel’s partner, Ritual of Sakura Flourishing Bed and Body Mist. The sweet cherry blossom scent from this spray is a bit stronger and more long-lasting than the ACTIVEssence Body Mist. The Rituals of Sakura Body Mist on its own is fabulous and paired with the shower gel, it’s even lovelier. Plus it can be sprayed on sheets or pillow case to create a relaxing and peaceful mood that can be so helpful for those of us who have trouble falling asleep.
Finally, what I also love about this Rituals of Sakura duo is that they don’t break the bank. The shower gel, 6.7 fl. oz/200 ml, is priced at $15, and the mist, 1.6 fl oz./50 ml, is $25. They can be purchased at Barneys NY or on the Rituals website.

Hi Allison ! Apple Blossom followed by Cherry Blossom are scents that I always enjoy. I like the simplicity of the Rituals logo. The shower foam sounds amazing. Nothing like a good smelling shower gel. Although I like bar soaps for baths. I think it is nice that the body mist serves a double purpose as a linen spray. I am currently using a lemongrass linen spray I picked up a TJ Maxx awhile ago. I also use it on my furniture and carpet.
That is such a great idea to use the mist as a carpet refresher, Laura! I never would have thought of that. Since the Rituals spray was kind of pricey, I will do that with the InStyle ActivEssence Mists that I have. I was wondering what to do with the other scents! Also, you’ve piqued my interest – I have never smelled an Apple Blossom scent. I bet I’d love it. Which brand do you recommend??

The wedding was very busy, Shireen – 4 days of events. I was exhausted. The bride was stunning (I have two photos of her on my FB feed. I will friend you on FB since I don’t think we’re connected.), and my black & white dress and shoes were a hit – if I could only lose a few pounds, lol. Rituals has become one of my favorite brands this past year, affordable luxury 🙂

I’ll keep my eyes open for a sale 😉 these both sound lovely and I also love a nice cherry blossom scent.I’m a huge fan of spraying my favorite scent all over(pillow,sheets,my favorite reading blanket)and now you have me in the mood for cherry blossom,lol. I hope that either Barneys or their own website has a sale because these really are worth trying, Laura. The shower gel is so much fun and so hydrating. I just got a deluxe sample of the shower gel in another scent (White Lotus and Ginger??) and it’s nice too but I especially adore the cherry blossom, and the Bed and Body Mist is very long lasting on me. It’s definitely worth the $25 (tho’ on sale would be better) – a good size bottle.

Everything I’ve tried from Rituals has been wonderful. Their cherry blossom scent is truly lovely. And I like that I can afford them!
