Sales at 2 Weeks to Go

I was reading that holiday purchasing has exceeded expectations, but that hasn’t stopped both online retailers and brick and mortar stores from offering discounts. The pre-Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales were impressive this year as well as the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. But though many current sales aren’t quite as deep a discount as the earlier sales, they’re still pretty darn good.

I Bought This, PR Samples, Affiliate Links

Though Sephora’s 20% off sale ended yesterday, Ulta’s 20% off sale goes until December 24. I remember when I thought that was a good deal. But now so many of the beauty brands are offering greater discounts if you buy direct from them.

City Beauty Sitewide Sale #2

If you missed City Beauty’s pre-Black Friday 40% off site wide sale, fear not. Their “last minute” 35% off site wide sale starts today and goes through December 18 with the code JOY35. I think I’m all set, but I always think I should pick up another City Lips Clear or Lid Lifting Eye Treatment. We’ll see.

Cheek Boss Underwear

I wrote about my first purchase of seamless, comfy, fun Cheek Boss panties this past summer (here). I liked them so much I bought 3 more pairs this fall.

They are changing their sales model to limited edition collections that when they sell out won’t be replaced. Frankly, I’m not sure I’m a fan, but I guess they believe that limited editions spur purchasing. So now they are trying to get rid of their current inventory. Up till now, they were pushing Buy 2 pairs at the regular $16.50 price and get 3 pairs free. I knew I didn’t need 5 more pairs, so I passed.

But now everything on their website is 60% off and there’s no minimum purchase, so I bought two more pairs of briefs at $6.50 each.

Their tops, bralettes, sleep sets, and accessories are all 60% off. Definitely great for last minute gift or stocking stuffer shopping.

Alexis Bittar Jewelry & Accessories 20% off Sitewide

Alexis Bittar has fairly constant sales since the company was sold several years ago, and now they have a 20% off sale on everything including already discounted merchandise plus free ground shipping.

Dona Jo Workout Apparel

I’m not sure what today and the next two weeks will bring in terms of sales at Dona Jo brand that I just reviewed here, but I have a strong hunch that their sales will continue. Through Sunday, it was 25% off site wide. Chances are that may continue or they’ll have deeper discounts on specific types of workout apparel. Worth a look if you or someone you’re gifting loves workout clothes and athleisure.

Green Pan Cookware

My non-stick pots and pans are so old. Most of them are made with Teflon, and I have gotten concerned about using them. Little by little, I have been trying to replace them. Last year, I bought a 12″ covered skillet from Caraway, but even with the 20% introductory discount, the pan cost me in the neighborhood of $100.

Recently, I decided to try GreenPan, another safe cookware brand. I needed an 8″ pan to make eggs or to sauté a chicken breast for one, so I bought a GreenPan from the Valencia Pro collection that is their highest rated. I loved it because, like Caraway, it is so easy to wash and it is completely non-stick. I liked it so much, I bought an 11″ at a “special price” (whatever that means) of $49.99. It’s a fabulous pan, too.

Now, everything on the GreenPan site is 40% off. A good time to consider replacing an old pan of yours or gifting one to someone you love. I bought an 8″ Valencia Pro saute pan for a friend who was looking for a new pan for cooking her husband’s eggs. She loves it!

Magnetic Palettes

If you or a friend are fans of customizing your palettes with cheek or shadow singles, check out the animal print Z Palettes (Tiger and Zebra) at Alcone for $15. They are similar to a Z Palette size Large but even wider to hold more. Plus, they’re very cute!

And though just slightly smaller, Anastasia Beverly Hills magnetic palettes in bright colors and rainbow cheetah print are only $10 plus today (Sunday) Rakuten is giving 12% cash back on ABH.

Beaded Bracelets

Beaded bracelets are always calling my name. I tend to wear them every day. And there are so many to choose from on sale now.

In addition to “normal” beads, Nogu has a fun Firefly and Frosted Night Collections with special beaded bracelets that glow in the dark. The beads are genuine lampwork hand-blown glass with phosphorescent particles inside. Once energized under a light source, they emit a spectacular glow. What fun! They also have iridescent Galaxy glass and lovely Mermaid glass that glows in the daylight. Their bracelets are made with sterling silver fittings. You can get an extra 20% off already discounted prices with code GIFTBOXED.

If it’s a traditional beaded roll-on bracelet you’re after, check out Aid Through Trade.

They sells single, doubles and triple sets. Though some sets are sold out, they still have some special doubles and triples in Christmas colors. Though their 40% off sale supposedly ended on Sunday, check ’em out for new sale prices. Like Nogu, Aid Through Trade bracelets are very affordable.

Florasis

Though few things at Florasis are ever inexpensive, this brand’s gorgeous embossed makeup in stunning cases in neutral and classic shades are fantastic if you wish to gift a makeup lover with something truly memorable and unique.

If your potential gift is way more than a stocking stuffer, Florasis currently has their Holiday Sets on sale at a deep discount (but they are far from cheap still). But they are so worth it. As my friend Erika wrote when I showed my Impressions of Dai shadow palette last year, she said she would never use it but “keep it as a pet”!

Nevertheless, take a look and prepare to drool. One of their lipsticks alone makes a fabulous gift. At $29, their hydrating Blooming Rouge Engraved Lipstick in a teal and gold ombre case is beautiful and affordable.

If you want to splurge, their Love Lock Lipsticks in the very fancy metal cases that are meant to be shown are $49 and worthy of being whipped out at a restaurant to reapply lipstick at every chance!

Happy Last Minute Shopping!

I could go on forever, since almost all brands and stores are having continuous sales up till and through the holidays. But the list here are some brands and products that I like and feel are high quality. So if you’re still holiday shopping or using this time of year to stock up on staples, chances are you’ll find some excellent prices. Enjoy!
