Shiseido IBUKI Eye Correcting Cream Review & Giveaway!

Slowly but surely, I’m making my way through Shiseido’s IBUKI skincare line. I was wondering what IBUKI meant, so I went to the Shiseido website and looked it up and also got a better understanding of the benefits of the IBUKI line. “IBUKI means “inner strength” in Japanese and this skincare collection helps correct imperfections, dryness and roughness while providing optimal hydration. IBUKI helps strengthen skin’s resistance for clear and stable skin every day.”

I think this is such an innovative skincare line because it seems to target skin conditions that I thought might be opposites: dryness (which I have) and imperfections (that I thought meant breakouts and enlarged pores but could just as easily include my big concern, dark spots). Anyway, I think all of us are seeking “optimal hydration”, and I think we can each see ourselves and our skincare needs in the IBUKI description.

Shiseido has recently sent me two IBUKI skincare sets, each of which includes a generously-sized makeup bag. Today’s post focuses on the Shiseido IBUKI Eye Correcting Cream that arrived in a beautiful nickel metallic makeup bag. I can never have enough eye creams or makeup bags!

The Eye Correcting Cream comes in a creamy beige colored plastic tube, and the cream itself is the same color. It’s relatively lightweight, absorbs very quickly and is non-greasy. It has a very light, fresh, pleasant scent that to me is barely perceptible upon application and does not in any way irritate my sensitive eyes. Shiseido IBUKI Eye Correcting Cream is suitable for both women and men.

This eye cream was formulated to help diminish the appearance of dark circles, puffiness and fine lines caused by dryness. Although my dark circles are still with me, my major concerns are crow’s feet and loose skin above my lids. Shiseido IBUKI Eye Correcting Cream helps decrease the appearance of both. At my age, I’m not expecting the eye cream to roll back the clock, but the hydration it provides softens my crow’s feet and helps temporarily firm the skin around my eyes. It is a soothing cream that doesn’t irritate my seriously sensitive skin. The cream contains Shiseido’s PhytoResist Complex to help skin maintain moisture, refine texture and builds skin’s resistance to external stressors like oxidation. I like this gentle eye cream a lot.

Shiseido IBUKI Eye Correcting Cream is an Allure Breakthrough Product Winner. It’s dermatologist tested. It is priced at $40 for 15 ml/0.53 oz. It is available on the Shiseido website, at Macy’s, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue, Sephora and other fine retailers.

Shiseido IBUKI Eye Correcting Cream GIVEAWAY!

Shiseido was generous to send not only an extra tube of the Eye Correcting Serum to give away to one of Never Say Die Beauty’s readers, but they also included another nickel metallic makeup bag. It’s a very pretty, soft, quilted fabric bag, and it can hold a lot of makeup!
