There’s no shortage of great haircare products out there. In fact, I have so many different hair products that it takes a lot to impress me. But recently I read a review from Cindy at Prime Beauty Blog for Joico K-Pak Color Therapy Luster Lock that got my attention. Then I was given the opportunity to try it. Why not?
Joico K-Pak Color Therapy Luster Lock came with some nice little gifts: an empty journal and an adorable gold key charm on a gold chain to symbolize “Luster Lock” and “unlocking the secret” to healthy, shiny hair.
Joico K-Pak Color Therapy Luster Lock Instant Shine & Repair Treatment is formulated to bring color-treated hair back to life. Here’s what Joico says about it: “Formulated with QuadraBond Peptide Complex—with deeply nourishing Manketti Oil and Argan Oils–repairs and seals hair’s outer protective layer to lock in color vibrancy. Silk, soy, and seaweed extract give hair a unique “slip” to prevent damage during styling.”d
The summer is tough on my hair. I’m outside a lot, and I can’t stand wearing a hat when I’m jogging or gardening because it makes me too hot. I do sit under an umbrella and wear a hat at the beach, but my hair has faded a lot since my last color almost a month ago. In fact, my hair looks to me like it’s bright orange, ugh.
Last Thursday, I washed my hair with Briogeo Be Gentle. Be Kind. Green Tea Shampoo, my go-to shampoo when my hair is really dirty. Then, I squeezed out as much water as I could and applied a big dollop of Joico K-Pak Color Therapy Luster Lock and left it on for just about 5 minutes as recommended on the packaging. Then I sprayed on a little It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product as usual and dried and styled my hair as always with a blow drier and flat iron.
My hair felt like silk. Unbelievably silky smooth and shiny. The color didn’t look as brassy orange as it did before.
I wondered how long would my hair look this good. Here’s day 2.
Well, I’ve gotta wash it today because it’s day 6, and I don’t usually go this long in between washes. But my hair looked excellent until today when I spent 6 hours doing yard work.

I’ve been coloring my hair red since 1987, I’m embarrassed to admit it. I was a dirty blonde, and I never felt that the color suited me.

I LOVE this! I was worried it would weigh down my fine hair but that’s not the case. I’ve been using it about 3 times a week since I got it and my hair is so healthy!

I’m lucky, Babi, that my hair doesn’t get oily. Usually I wash my hair every 4 days, but this time, I could get away with an extra day. By day 6, it needed it. But the Joico Luster Lock made my hair sooooooo silky and shiny – heaven
