Skincare Products I’m Loving This Fall

I don’t think I’ve done a current favorites post in ages, so why not now? As always, there are many terrific beauty products out there, and favorites are very personal, but what the heck! I started out thinking I was going to do a general favorites post, but it was getting too long, so here are my current skincare faves.

Even with skincare, it’s hard to narrow them down. But left to my own devices, these are the skincare products I pick up and actually use most often.

Eyes

  • Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb: You already know that I am devoted to this eye gel cream for my lids and the skin in and above my crease.

Serum

There are about a million serums that I love and use, but these are the ones I reach for most often these days.

  • StriVectin S.T.A.R. light Retinol Night Oil: I discovered this fantastic retinol oil at the beginning of the year by trying a sample packet, and I was immediately hooked. I’m still on my first bottle because it only takes a drop or two. So hydrating. Just amazing.
  • Biossance Squalane Phyto-Retinol Serum: A lightweight gel-cream that contains hydrating squalane and plant-based retinol. I love the scent too – I wish I could identify which natural ingredient gives it its characteristic scentl. It reminds me of another moisturizer by Sulwhasoo that smells the same way. I trade off using this serum and the StriVectin.

Moisturizer/Anti-aging Cream

  • First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair BarriAIR Cream: This is the weird “cream” ever, but I adore it. It has a fluffy whipped texture that feels like putting cotton candy (without the stickiness) on my face. It strengthens the barrier that keeps moisture in. I use this lighter than air hydrating cream when I use a few drops of StriVectin STAR light Retinol Night Oil.
  • Belif Moisturizing Bomb or Aqua Bomb: I trade off these two gel-cream moisturizers. In the summer, I was using aqua-colored lighter weight Aqua Bomb, and when my skin feels like it needs more hydration from a heavier product, I use Moisturizing Bomb. Love them both.

favorite sunscreens for face from summer-fall 2019

Sunscreen/Daytime Moisturizer

I have a number of sunscreens that I’ve been using during the summer and now into the fall.

  • Coola Sun Silk Drops SPF 30:: I love this sunscreen that has a built-in dropper that takes up the right amount of sunscreen when you press down on the button. Then I either apply it directly to my face or mix it in with my moisturizer or even my foundation. I love the flexibility!
  • Purlisse Blue Lotus Daily Moisturizer SPF 30: This is the most like a traditional moisturizer of the three with sunscreen added. It’s a medium weight hydrating moisturizer and it’s perfect as the weather is getting colder here.

City Lips and Laneige Lip Sleeping Cream

Lip Balm

  • City Beauty City Lips: All summer, I’ve been using City Lips Clear. City Lips is packed with collagen and hyaluronic acid. It gives my lips much needed hydration and a slight plump via moisture. I’ve been using City Lips for about 5 years. It’s a staple.
  • Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask: Laneige is lighter weight than my winter staple, Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm, so it’s perfect for summer and early fall.

These are the skincare products I’m loving right now. See any of your favorites here? What are some of your faves?

  5. Fabulous picks. I bought the Belif eye cream on your recommendation but have no idea where I put it. Unreal! The StriVectin didn’t agree with my skin unfortunately. Luckily I just had samples and hadn’t paid for it. And I’m always up for Paula’s Choice.
