Sleek Smooth Healthy Hair with Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair & Thickening Tonic Giveaway

Oh, I hate washing my hair because it takes so darn long to dry and style. I shouldn’t complain, I know, because I fortunately have so much of it. But after washing my hair, drying it requires using a high temperature on my hair dryer and it takes at least 15 minutes for it to dry. Next I have to flat iron it because even if I use anti-frizz products, it still has way too much volume and it looks awful. All that heat can definitely damage my hair.

I’ve discovered a lot of excellent haircare products over the past few years, and I wanted to tell you about another great haircare product that makes an immediate difference in the health of my hair: Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair.

Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair

I think Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair was formulated for people like me who fry their hair! It’s made to protect hair from heat and repair the damage that heat can do. In fact, about a month ago, I fried part of my bangs with my flat iron and the hair felt burnt and crimped. Aveda Damage Remedy seems to have fixed it ‘coz now it’s smoooooth again!

Here’s how Aveda describes the product, its benefits and key ingredients:

Instantly repairs and protects from heat styling.
• 97% naturally derived* leave-in treatment instantly repairs the integrity of hair’s surface.
• helps protect the hair against breakage and thermal damage up to 450°.
• formulated with quinoa protein, this leave-in treatment helps give you stronger, longer hair.

Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair comes in a plastic tube, and though I might actually prefer a pump bottle, it’s easy to squeeze out a relatively small amount of the rich off-white liqui-serum. I use at least a quarter size blob of serum ‘coz I have a lot of hair. I apply it to my hair with my fingers from crown to tips and then comb it through to make sure it’s distributed well. For those of you who are fragrance sensitive, I don’t really smell any scent.

Next, I blow-dry my hair, and it is less frizzy than usual. I still need to flat iron my hair as usual, but afterwards, my hair feels unbelievably silky and healthy.

I used to be concerned about leave-in treatments weighing down my hair, but Aveda Damage Remedy doesn’t make my hair feel heavy, nor does it make it feel dirty quicker. I still wash my color-treated red hair every 4-5 days unless it’s super hot and humid out.

I strongly recommend Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair. I had been using another spray leave-in multi-benefit product for a year or so before I tried Aveda Damage Remedy. I’m switching because Aveda Damage Remedy is even better for my hair.

Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair comes in a travel size, 0.85 fl. oz. for $9.00, that may be a good way to try it out. I’ve got the 3.4 fl. oz./100 ml size that’s priced at $30. It’s sold in Aveda stores and on the Aveda website as well as at Nordstrom and on Jet.com. Aveda haircare is about as natural as you can get, it’s cruelty-free, and their packaging is manufactured from recycled materials.

Aveda Damage Remedy is made from plant-derived ingredients including hydrolyzed wheat protein, in case you’re gluten-sensitive. It also contains dimethicone that my hair loves but some people can’t use.

It takes so much effort I have gotten lazy and every other day when I wash my hair I use sea salt spray or a cream for curls and just give in to being lazy about my hair lol! But something like this is so beneficial for straightening days!!!
