So Soft Turkish Beach Towel from Sand Cloud

Just before Labor Day, I was seduced into buying a new beach towel…because of course, it was on sale. But I ended up absolutely loving it because it ticks so many boxes for me! And why I love it goes back to my last beach towel purchase.

Five summers ago, Jeff and I flew to Tybee Island in Georgia for his birthday celebration with his daughters. I assumed I should bring a beach towel with me in case the AirBnB didn’t provide them. I bought a very lightweight beach towel at CVS. I had never seen a beach towel that folds up so small and weighs almost nothing so that it wouldn’t take up space or add weight to my suitcase. The smallness and light weightlessness are terrific, but honestly, it isn’t the most absorbent. I have no idea what it’s made of, but I’m guessing it is a synthetic fiber(s).

Sand Cloud Turkish Beach Towels

Sand Cloud sells lots of beach-related and lifestyle items:

  • Beach towels
  • Mineral sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Beach chairs and beach umbrellas
  • Women’s workout clothing
  • Bath towels
  • Kitchen towels
  • Robes
  • Beach cooler bags
  • Bags and backpacks for beach towels

So far, I have only purchased a beach towel and a towel bag. Sand Cloud beach towels are fabricated from 100% organic Turkish cotton, and they are made in Turkey. Turkish towels are known for their key benefits, being highly absorbent, fast-drying, and lightweight. They’re tightly woven so they excel at repelling sand. Lastly, they get softer with every wash!

Even though it was the end of my beach season, I was instantly sold on Sand Cloud because the beach towels were exactly what I was looking for.

The hard part was choosing the pattern and color(s) of my towel because Sand Cloud makes so many attractive ones. They have solids, stripes, turtles, and Disney characters including mermaids. I chose Salvia Stripe, pastel shades of pink, green, aqua, white, and yellow horizontal stripes. I figured all those shades would work with most of my swimsuits. Like most Turkish towels, it has twisted tassels. The organic cotton has a herringbone pattern.

My towel is for a single person and measures 37″ x 67″. It is longer than most regular single beach towels.

I also bought a drawstring bag, Tie Dye XL Pouch, in similar shades to hold my towel.

To my delight, my Sand Cloud Salvia Stripe beach towel delivered on all the promises. It truly is:

  • very absorbent
  • lightweight
  • a small package
  • fast drying
  • sand repellent (i.e. any sand that gets on the towel is easy to shake off)
  • amazingly soft!

Sand Cloud is currently running sales on beach towel bundles (buying more than one) which seems perfect for families, stocking up for next summer or for gifting. I have a feeling that there will be more sales coming up since it’s the end of the summer season. If you haven’t yet tried Turkish towels, you may really enjoy them!

  1. Hi, Allison – This is very tempting! The quality and exotic beauty of these towels is definitely something to covet. And getting them at this time of year is economical. I usually buy a new beach towel and bathing suit every year because of the amount of time I spend swimming, but didn’t find what I wanted this year.
