Sorme Treatment Cosmetics Lip Products: Lip Rescue, LipThick & Smearproof Lipliner

PR Samples,  Affiliate Link

I thought Sormé Treatment Cosmetics was a new-to-me makeup brand, but when I was putting the tags into this post, I discovered that I already had used the tag, Sormé Lip Stain. I received Sorme Smoochproof Lipstain in a Lip Monthly subscription bag. It was an excellent  non-drying transfer-proof lip stain. But the color I was sent was a purple so I didn’t wear it too often, and I forgot about it. Glad to have a chance to get reacquainted with the brand!

Sormé Treatment Cosmetics are available at select CVS stores including some stores that are not too far from me, so now is good time to learn more about the brand. To start, Sormé is the Egyptian word for kohl, the natural black substance that women have used for centuries to enhance their eyes.

Here’s some more background on Sormé:

Sormé is a brand that approaches makeup from a skin care point of view. A sophisticated, multi-tasking line of makeup, Sormé is formulated with clinically proven anti-aging peptides, natural antioxidant botanicals, sunscreens and the finest color pigments available.

Sormé is an Award Winning makeup line and a regular on the pages of Beauty Launchpad, Dayspa and Dersmascope industry magazines as well as People and Allure magazines. Our products are known and used by celebrity makeup artists and stylists as their ‘secret weapon’.

A multiphasic brand, Sormé Treatment Cosmetics emphasizes:

  • natural, effective ingredients including active plant botanicals, minerals, healing vitamins and clinically proven, age-reversing peptides as well as traditional proven cosmetic ingredients
  • environmentally friendly packaging
  • education: Sormé Academy, makeup artist training, tips and tricks for the consumers.

Sormé Treatment Cosmetics are cruelty-free and paraben-free.

Sormé sent me a number of products to try out for review. Today, I will start with the lip products I received.

Lip Rescue Tinted Lip Balm

Lip Rescue Tinted Lip Balm is a creamy, hydrating lip balm formulated with shea butter and antioxidants vitamin A, E and F to soothe, nourish and protect dry lips. It comes in three neutral shades to provide a hint of color. I received Juicy, a very pretty medium pink, that’s perfect for me to wear at home or if I am out doing errands. I just swipe it on, and it feels so darn good! The other two shades are Dewey, a neutral beige-brown, and Yummy, a browned-peach. You can either wear it alone or on top of another lip product for added hydration and a touch of color.

It comes in a mechanical twist-up tube, so it never needs sharpening. Yay! 3.2 grams for $14.

LipThick Plumping Lip Gloss

Now this was a surprise. I didn’t realize at first that LipThick is a Plumping Lip Gloss. That’s the downside to cataract surgery. Because I can’t read small print without glasses, I don’t always know what exactly things are. I assumed that Lip Thick was a regular lip gloss. But when I applied it with the easy to use doe-foot applicator, I could feel the slightest tingle initially on my lips.

I wondered, is this a plumping lip gloss? Well, I put on my readers and yes it is, but thank goodness, it doesn’t have peppermint oil or cinnamon that wreak havoc with my already dry lips. Lip Thick contains peptides that stimulate collagen production and give you plumper lips after a month’s use. The formula contains fruit acids, aloe vera and vitamins that help plump lip lines and give lips a fuller, juicy appearance. The formula also contains petrolatum and mineral oil that I don’t mind using, but I wanted to point that out.

I received a pretty light pink, translucent glossy shade, Doll. I wear it on its own and sometimes I wear it over lipliner or lipstick to create a glossy look.  There are 11 other shades that range from Clear, Gold, Copper, Reds and Burgundy, Neutrals, Corals and Mauve. At some point, I will pick up one of the red shades at CVS since red is my thing in gloss.

What I love about LipThick is that it is rich, soothing, and it is not sticky!!! I am actually quite impressed by how well Lip Thick wears.

The tube of LipThick Plumping Lip Gloss contains 3.1 ml/0.11 fl. oz. and is priced at $12.

Smearproof Square Lipliner

I don’t always use lipliners because sometimes they are stiff and tug on my lips. Not so Sormé Smearproof Square Lipliner. It feels creamy, and it glides ever so smoothly around my irregular lipline. Plus it is waterproof and truly smearproof. It doesn’t bleed, and doesn’t let my lipstick bleed. Finally, it’s long wearing.

The shade I received is Baby Doll, a pink-mauve shade that coordinates with the other lip products I received. More importantly, it goes well with a lot of other lipsticks that I already own. There are 13 shades to choose from. I will definitely buy more of these babies. It’s a little difficult to see the shades on my desktop computer monitor because lots of them looks like variations on neutrals/browns. I need a true red and a tomato red. I hope they have one because these are terrific lipliners.

The Sormé Smearproof Lipliners are square. At first, I thought it was a gimmick but after using it for a while, the square shape really does give me more control. Now, I just hope it will fit in my sharpener 😉 $9.50.

Check out the Sormé Treatment Cosmetics website. There are helpful videos and other tips and tricks on the site as well as more information at their extensive product line. You can shop online, but I will be heading to CVS to check out their offerings and where I can use my CVS Extrabucks!! Have you seen Sormé in any CVS stores near you?

    1. Thank you, Marcia. Actually, I think the pale pink gloss is more your shade than mine, but I really love the consistency and hydration so I wear it anyway. I am going to go to one of the CVS stores that’s listed on the map as carrying Sorme because I would like to pick up a red gloss and a red lipliner. With my CVS discount and Extrabucks, it will be well worth it.
