Spa Treatment at Home for Dry Overwashed Hands: 7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques

Between gardening, lawn care, bread baking, and trying to make sure that my hands are clean and germ-free, I must wash my hands at least 15 times a day. In spite of using hydrating cleansers and hand cream after every hand wash, my hands are dry, dry, dry. In addition, the exfoliative keratolysis (discussed here and recommendation for what to do about it), a weird and painful skin condition characterized by skin that dries out and peels off that I get on my thumbs every summer, has returned on my right thumb.

While I was trying to clean up and consolidate beauty products for testing that I store in my office, I came upon a couple of packs of  7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques that I had totally forgotten about. Eureka! Just what my dry hands need, some at home super-hydrating TLC.

A few years ago, I tried out another brand of glove masks for dry hands, but the gloves were huge and they had to be heated in the microwave. Although they worked well, it was almost impossible to get the gloves on by myself (‘coz they were huge) and to program and turn on the microwave. I still have a few left, but I haven’t gone back to them because they’re hard to use alone 😥

How to Use 7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques

Just open the pack, take out the plastic gloves, and put them on. The directions are on the back of the pack.

There’s a tape closure that you can use to keep them sealed tight. It’s a little tricky to do with a gloved hand, but it’s definitely possible, and not even necessary.

The gloves have the softening stuff inside. What is the softening stuff, you ask? It’s vegan moisturizer with the key ingredients: rich shea butter and soybean oil. Once you put them on, just relax for 15 or 20 minutes. They have a delightful rose aroma from real pressed rose petals. (If you are scent-averse, skip these. They are like aromatherapy for your hands!)

After you’ve enjoyed some relaxation, remove the gloves, massage the remaining softener into your hands, let it dry, and it will encase your hands in moisture and softness.

7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques Benefits

My hands feel soft, hydrated, plumped, and even the peeling skin on my thumb is temporarily not noticeable. My cuticles are even hydrated and less visible. Yay! Using 7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques right before bed is the way to go. After doing the glove masque, it’s wonderful to let your hands enjoy the softness all night long.

Other great things about 7th Heaven Soften Glove Masques is that they are cruelty-free, and each pack containing one pair of gloves is priced at $2!! They are usually sold at Walmart. I just checked walmart.com, and right now, they are sold out online. I think it’s another supply chain issue that seems to be pretty common these days. But they are not discontinued, and you might even find them at your local Walmart store. So don’t give up on finding these effective, affordable at-home spa gloves from 7th Heaven. They are fun and they work!

These gloves sound really nice. I bought some hair coloring gloves in a big box at my local beauty supply and I put cold pressed olive oil (store bought) and I put that on my hands then the gloves. It works. I will have to look for those gloves. Thanks Allison, have a nice day. 😷🙋🏻‍♀️🥰🍷

    1. DiEtta, you have the best ideas! I have one more pack of the 7th Heaven gloves, but after that I will try your tip with the 7th Heaven gloves in the next pack that I will save. I have only a couple of pairs of gloves in the box that I bought for COVID-19 uses, and I feel like I need to keep them. BTW, I am searching high and low for my bottle of Frankincense EO. I have found every bottle of essential oil as well as eo blends that I own except Frankincense. I don’t want to buy another bottle because I don’t like the scent all that much, and I know if I buy a new one, I will find the one I already own. This darn blemish won’t go away, grrrr.

  2. What great timing! I think we could all use a pair of these right now.

  5. I especially enjoyed these hand masks when my nail salon wasn’t open. My hands were such a mess and so dry from all the dishwashing. This is a great way to spend $2.

    1. I hope that they will come back in stock at Walmart coz I only have one left! I love the 7th Heaven masks. I am sorry that Ulta doesn’t seem to carry them anymore.

  6. I’m just going to say it, these look and sound better than the nail masks that I reviewed awhile back. PLUS they’re cheaper as well. Going to have to hunt down some of these and maybe I’ll be able to do some actual nail swatches again LOL

    1. I think I do remember your nail mask review from quite a while ago. I hope you and I both can find some of the 7th Heaven Glove Masques. At 2 bucks a piece, they are a must-have.

Great price! I buy mine at Sally’s Beauty Supply and they are economical too, they also have a sock for treating your feet and they are a must have as well. Great stocking stuffers.

    1. Kim, do you buy a different brand of glove masks at Sally Beauty or have you found the 7th Heaven ones there? Just curious coz I’m on the hunt now. I have the 7th Heaven Foot Masques to try next, but if I can’t find the gloves I will consider other brands. Thanks for weighing in!
