Spring 2014 Ulta 21 Days of Beauty

Just up on Ulta’s website: Ulta’s Spring 2014 21 Days of Beauty!

Ulta 21 Days of Beauty, Spring 2014

I have learned from experience that if there’s something you really really want, make sure you get to the store early, like right when it opens because it could be gone by the time you get there, even an hour after opening! Each store only gets a limited number of sale items so ACT FAST!!

As you can see, the Spring 2014 starts next Sunday, March 16 and goes through April 5, the usual 3 weeks. Here’s Week 1:

Ulta 21 Days of Beauty, Week 1 Spring 2014

Here’s Week 2:

Ulta 21 Days of Beauty, Week 2 Spring 2014

Here’s Week 3:

Ulta 21 Days of Beauty, Week 3 Spring 2014

Gosh, I already see a bunch of stuff on my Wish List!

Week 1: I’ve gotta have the Stila palette. I adore their travel palettes!  I currently have the Tarte mascara, and it’s wonderful. While I was in San Francisco staying at the W Hotel, I stocked up on Bliss Foaming Face Wash travel size, and it smells terrific, has tiny exfoliating beads that are easy to wash off, and it’s great for all skin types. The Butter London polishes are a steal, a deluxe must have. And the Urban Decay travel set is worth it for the eyeliner on its own. It’s the best for tightlining, so soft and easy to do. Plus, the eye primer. Just buy it if you don’t already own it.

Week 2: The Amazing Concealer for $21!! I paid $42 for mine. This full coverage concealer is the best for hard to cover up skin issues. It’s the Mercedes of concealers.

Week 3: If you’re a bronzer person, check out the Tarte Amazonian Clay Bronzer. It’s wonderful. And I certainly don’t need blush, but both the Japonesque online only and the adorable Too Faced Flush Blush at half price are beyond tantalizing!

So let me know what you’re thinking about scooping up during the big sale! Thank you, Ulta and ulta.com <3

    Alert

Exfoliating beads are very bad for the environment. Birds oceans etc. Just a word of caution when considering new products for spring.

Melanie, you are absolutely right. In fact, I learned that a few weeks ago from an article you posted on Facebook. Because Bliss products include a high number of natural ingredients, I just assumed that the tiny exfoliating particles in the foaming face wash were sugar crystals. In response to your comment, I had tried to get some info on the beads that they use in this product, and I am not sure what they are. I know their FatGirlSlim massage soap uses jojoba beads that disappear. Clarins uses silica. Bliss does not identify the bead material in the Foaming Face Wash. I did, however, find a reference to “polyethylene beads” in the product on a third party website. So, I believe you are right. We should all pass on this product till they change the the beads to a natural biodegradable substance like sugar, jojoba or even silica, the abrasive found in toothpaste. Thank you for your informative comment, Melanie!

I have last year’s heart blush from Too Faced and I adore it. But I really don’t need this new brighter shade since I have 3 from Milani that are pretty much dupes, but I LOVE HEARTS!

I thought my eyes were deceiving me (an Urban Decay mini set with a liner that ISN’T BLACK?!?) but the item description indeed says Rockstar/eggplant. Woohoo!!!! That one is definitely on my list. I’m currently using a sample of the Tarte mascara and I agree that it’s really nice. I even got some in my eye the other day (so klutzy!) but it didn’t cause any irritation whatsoever, which I consider a miracle. That’s a winner in my book. I do wish it came in brown though. I can use black with a light hand and a lash comb which is fine for a daily look, but when I’m going for something with a little more fluttery va-voom, a built up black just looks too contrasty with my hair and skin tone.

Rach, you’ve got super great eyesight! I clicked on the product to try to find the shade of the UD eye pencil but I couldn’t find it or see it. Thank you! I want and need eggplant!! As I mentioned, I love UD for tight lining. I’m using Zero which is black but not super-black, but I think eggplant would be a great tightliner. Now I’ve gotta add that to my list 😉 As for black vs brown, I go both ways. With my light skin and red hair, I do like brown too – it’s less jarring, but I will do black. I wear a lot of black clothing, and I like the look with it.

  4. I wish we had Ulta here. These are some great deals!

Are you in the UK, Gio? I wish you had Ulta, too. Although it can be tough to actually get some of these deals (you do have to act fast), it can be an amazing savings. Most of these items are 50% off!

  5. I like Ulta but I agree that they always seem to be out of the beauty product I want or need. I ended up buying my hair mousse from Amazon the last time.

Oh boo! I can relate, Judy. Most times, they have what I need except for shade “fair” and “light” in IT CC Cream, but I was livid when I planned to buy the Cargo Vintage Eye Shadow Palette on sale during the fall 21 Days of Beauty and they were sold out by 10:30am (they open at 10!). For stuff I really want, I’ll be there when the store opens LOL

  6. So glad you mentioned it! That alone makes it worth it to me. I love most everything UD.

  7. –The eggplant eyeliner, I meant. 🙂

    1. Allison says:

That’s too funny, Kim! So glad you clarified. I was wondering…what? I want that eggplant eyeliner. I’m not sure whether the eye primer is the regular or the AA. I haven’t used the regular in a long time, but the AA is unbeatable.

  8. I checked it out at Ulta today. You & my friend Kim should really like this plum-brown shade. I do 🙂
