Staying Cool with No Sweat Sweat Absorbing Disposable Hat Liners

Because of my red color-treated hair that fades in the sun, in the shower, in all kinds of situations, I have to do what I can to at least try to slow down the fading. In the summer when I’m outdoors a lot, sometimes all day, it is imperative that I wear a hat. Though hats protect my hair and my skin, they sure can be hot to wear to the beach, for jogging and for gardening. But I usually grin and bare it.

No Sweat is a flexible black liner that adheres to the inside of a hat. It wicks sweat away from your skin, keeps sweat out of your eyes, and it reduces sweat stains on hats. Mine came in a handy 3 pack. I put one in one of my beach hats and another one in a baseball cap that I wear jogging. The third one will go in my straw beach hat.

Here’s how NoSweatCo describes the liner:

“No Sweat’s patented design and Dri-LID technology is engineered to absorb forehead sweat and clear your line of vision. Our game changing technology permanently locks and seals all sweat inside the core, allowing the surface of the product to be completely dry, even when it is full saturated.”

No Sweat Liner is a cinch to use. Peel off the backing and press it to adhere to the inside or crown of your hat. The vents allow the liner to adjust and fit any size hat. Easy peasy.

My sun hat with SPF that I’ve been wearing to the beach works even better with the liner to keep me cooler. In fact, today I wore it while doing about 3 hours of yard work: mowing the lawn in the heat, raking, trimming, and more. The No Sweat Liner inside my hat made a big difference. Before I put my hat on, sweat was running down my face into my eyes. With the hat with the No Sweat liner, no sweat! Same with jogging with a No Sweat Liner. To be honest, I hate wearing a baseball hat when I jog in the heat of summer. Instead of keeping me cool, I think it makes me hotter. But I need to try to protect my haircolor. Silly? Perhaps, but there you go. With the No Sweat Liner, I feel cooler than wearing a soaked baseball cap, and my hair is protected.

Also, for a week or two after I have my hair colored, the bright red rinse that goes on my hair after the permanent color, always comes off on the inside of my hats, especially on my forehead because of my bangs. The No Sweat Liner (that is thankfully, black) protects the inside of my hats where my bangs would typically stain it. Yay!

I have to tell you a funny story. The folks at No Sweat sent me an extra No Sweat Liner and a vial with water or some kind of solution in it for me to use as a demonstration. I don’t know if it’s the heat and humidity or mental deterioration, lol, but I saw the vial and the liner, and for some reason, I thought I was supposed to pour the liquid on the No Sweat Liner to activate a cooling sensation produced by the liner, like it was some kind of air conditioner. Oy! Ever since I was a kid, I always thought that all kinds of things were magic, or worked by magic. Instead, In reality, I discovered that pouring the liquid on the No Sweat Liner demonstrated how the liner absorbs the liquid completely and wicks it away from the outside of the liner into the core. Duh! Still magical, but not what I initially expected.

So in spite of my mistake, the No Sweat Liner keeps me decidedly more comfortable than wearing my hats in the heat without the liner. It’s an awesome summer product! And with at least 5 more weeks of summer (and hopefully more warm weeks after that), there’s plenty of time to appreciate this cool device 😉

  6. Wow! I didn’t know this kind of product existed. These would be perfect under the kind of hat that is a bit scratchy – like a straw hat. I wear a hat every single time I go outside for sun protection.

  7. I wonder if I could modify this to work on the inside of a headband for the back of my neck. When my nape sweats it’s not only gross but my hair tangles as well.
