Stunning Smith & Cult Bitter Cashmere Daydream Nail Lacquer

I Bought This, Affiliate Links

Smith & Cult Nail Lacquer is one of my very favorite nail polish brands. The bottle is so gorgeous that I could almost sit and look at it all day long. With its squat glass bottle and slightly smashed gold top, it looks like no other brand. So luxurious and sophiticated.

Plus the polishes are non-toxic: 8-free (No Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide, & Triphenyl Phosphate), vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free.

Months ago, I received Smith & Cult Bitter Cashmere Daydream Nail Lacquer in my Ipsy Plus bag. That was back when Ipsy Plus chose everything and surprised us. I was delighted with it because Smith & Cult is a favorite brand of mine overall, and as I mentioned earlier, I love the polish.

In spite of the slim brush, the polish is easy to apply. It dries quickly. It’s long lasting compared to many other polish brands I wear. Reading the reviews of Smith & Cult Nail Lacquer is a love fest, and I understand why.

The shade, Bitter Cashmere Daydream, celadon cream, is a stunner. Often, Smith & Cult’s shades are a little unusual, off the beaten path. I would  describe Bitter Cashmere Daydream as a cool-toned taupey light green.

It’s unlike any other shade that I own. While I think the shade is a classic, it seemed perfect right now for my “eager for spring to arrive at the end of winter” mood. I absolutely adore it!

It covered completely in two quick-drying coats. If this unusual shade appeals to you, I encourage you to go for it. I don’t think you’ll regret it.

Smith & Cult Nail Lacquer is priced at $18 for 14 ml/0.5 oz. Bitter Cashmere Daydream is sold only on the Smith & Cult website (as far as I can tell). Some of the other shades are sold on Dermstore.com where they are 20% off with code GLOWUP right now, on Ulta.com, and Beautylish.

Update: My Smith & Cult Bitter Cashmere Daydream mani lasted ONE WEEK before it chipped on one nail. For me, that is unheard of! I love this polish even more now!

This is a gorgeous shade. As you know I don’t wear polish anymore as I love Color Street nail polish strips. But now I am going to be searching for shade similar to this one.

    1. I forgot that you were wearing nail polish strips, Sandy. I haven’t tried Color Street. In fact, it’s been a couple of years or so since I wore strips from Revlon. They were really pretty and not too difficult to apply. I can’t remember how long they lasted on me. How long do the Color Street strips last on your nails? I hope they do have a shade similar to Bitter Cashmere Daydream because it truly is gorgeous, especially on us cool-toned gals 😉

If I put them on as a pedicure I can get a month out of them. I usually get 7-10 days if I put a top coat on the tips.

  2. What a gorgeous nail polish color! I love that shade on you, Allison!

  3. Now you are making me search for my Smith & Cult polishes. I have two hidden away that I haven’t worn. The first time I got one of their polishes was in a Beautylish bag and I thought they sent me something that was a reject since I didn’t know what the bottle was supposed to look like. I wondered how the top got squished!

    1. That is such a cute story, Marcia! I wish I could remember my first impression. I was so taken by the packaging, but maybe I thought the same thing initially. It’s such a great polish. I went hiking and rock climbing today, and no chips on my nails, yay!!

  4. I NEED this shade. I’m going to buy it right now!
