My Ipsy Plus Box for July 2019 called “Dive In” arrived today. Instead of ‘Dive In”, I would call it “Get Your Glow On” based on a number of items in this month’s box.
Just as a reminder, Ipsy Plus is a monthly subscription box that includes 5 full size beauty products for $25 including shipping. You can cancel at any time. As an Ipsy Plus member, you get deep discounts on beauty products sold on Ipsy.com. You can add travel size products for $3 per item or full size products for $12 each. From time to time, I do add on products.
This month, I was surprised when I opened my box and found 5 full size products and an extra product. I did not order an extra product this month. My extra products is:
- Goldfaden MD Doctors Scrub Ruby Crystal Microderm Exfoliation: I looked up this daily hydrating exfoliator on the Goldfaden MD website, and it sounds fantastic. It’s priced at $38 for this 50 ml travel size. I’m not sure why I lucked out and received it. Should I contact Ipsy and ask them? Nah, I’ll just keep it.
Here are the 5 full size products that are part of my Ipsy Plus “Dive In” box:
- Pixi Glow Mist with Propolis & Argan Oil: I just sprayed myself in the face with it (I’m getting better at it) and it smelled very nice. I just wish the spray was a finer mist. I think this will be wonderful for a hot day or for the winter when it’s cold and dry. The mist contains 13 essential oils including rose and lavender oils, aloe vera and fruit extracts. It can be used to set or refresh makeup, hydrate, protect, and give skin a dewy finish. $15
- LXMI Pure Nilotica Melt: I received a tube of this 100% organic, vegan, cruelty-free balm in my first Ipsy Plus box last fall. I wasn’t sure what to do with it back then, so I used it before bed on my feet last winter under socks to keep my feet soft. I finished up that first tube. I’ve since learned that this can be used on face, lips, elbows, feet, anywhere that’s dry. Because this is expensive stuff, I’m not sure I’ll be using it exclusively on my feet this time around! $28
- Thrive Cosmetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara: I’ve been seeing ads for Thrive Cosmetics everywhere lately, but I haven’t tried any of their products yet. So I was glad to see this lengthening and volumizing mascara in my box. I haven’t tried it yet, but it has a wand with small plastic teeth – the kind I often like. I’ll let you know! It has Orchid Stem Cell Complex in the formula to stimulate lash growth. Sounds promising! $24
- Naked Cosmetics 4 Piece Pigment Set: When I saw this box, I wasn’t sure what was in it because the box didn’t say. I eagerly too a stack of square plastic pots out of the box. I thought they were cream eye shadows. Unfortunately, they’re not cream shadows, they’re pigments. I seldom use pigments because they can be messy. When I dipped my fingers into these pots (I know, I should have used a brush!), they were as soft as silk and not the least bit messy and powdery. I’m looking forward to trying these lovely neutral metallic shades. $40
- Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette, shade Golden Sands: I’m a big fan of Huda Beauty, but so far I have only tried their eye shadow palettes, specifically the Obsessions palettes. I was pleased to see a Huda Beauty face palette instead of another eye palette. Golden Sands is a beautiful, warm palette that’s perfect for summer. It comes with a creamy golden base or for the high points of the face, a yellow gold highlighter along the top of the cheekbone, a contour, and a gorgeous deep rose gold blush. I’m excited to use this palette. $45
Again, I’m very happy with this box. I dying to experiment with the beautiful golden shades of pigment and face makeup and try the new mascara. I’m so happy to get another LXMI Melt to replace the one I finished up. And the Pixi Mist will be nice and hydrating after a day at the beach. The value of this month’s Dive In box is $152, and if you add in the Goldfaden MD Scrub that I didn’t expect, the total goes up to $190! Wow!
If you subscribe to Ipsy Plus, did you get the same items as I did? And did you get the Goldfaden MD extra? If you don’t subscribe, do you see anything you would want to try? BTW, if you decide to subscribe, please consider using my referral code. 🙂

I used the Goldfaden MD Microderm Exfoliant last night, and I was blown away at how smooth and soft my skin was. I think I hit the jackpot with this month’s box!
I had gotten an email that they were putting in the Goldfaden since we’d gotten the LXMI was a repeat. I thought they’d skip the LXMI but they did both. I have and love the Thrive Mascara. I bought it from the company and it’s the best item I have bought from them. Plus they are philanthropic and I love that about them. It definitely is a good box this month.
Thank you so much, Marcia! I didn’t notice an email about the Goldfaden MD exfoliant because I often won’t open Ipsy emails thinking they may be spoilers. How nice that we got both! I really like the LXMI Balm so I am happy for the repeat, though I’ll be saving it for colder weather. I used the Goldfaden exfoliator last night. Although it is a little sharp and scratchy, it made my skin feel unbelievably soft and smooth. I think I’ll be able to get used to it.
Oh wow! 5 full-size products and a bonus one? This is such a brilliant bag, Allison!
