Sundown Naturals Vitamin B12 Gummies via PINCHme

About a year ago, I found out about a cool service called PINCHme. I think I learned about it on Facebook. With PINCHme, you don’t need to have a blog or a Twitter feed or an Instagram feed to participate. You can test out household and personal care products and give feedback on them via the PINCHme website. To join, go to the PINCHme website and sign up. Then, you fill out a survey on your shopping habits. They usually release free samples on Tuesdays, and they remind you by email to apply if it’s something that you qualify for and that interests you. In addition, I believe they offer discounts on some brands including 15% off on Lancôme. It’s a fun service.

I have received a couple of boxes with assorted products for myself, for my household and even a shaving product for sensitive skin for Jeff. In fact, I got Olay Ultra Moisturizing Body Wash with Shea Butter and Pond’s Cold Cream Cleanser among other products.

A couple of days ago, I received a vitamin B12 sample from Sundown Naturals that I signed up for on PINCHme. I am a fan of gummy vitamins so this was right up my alley. I know a number of middle-aged people like myself who take vitamin B12 to fight fatigue and feel more energetic, and I thought what the heck, I definitely could use that!

Vitamin B12 is produced naturally in the body by bacteria in the gut. Since I had a pretty serious case of diverticulitis last year and still have IBS, I am a bit concerned that it could affect my vitamin B12 production, though chances are I’m fine. Vegans (I am not one) are also susceptible to vitamin B12 deficiency.

The sample I received was a single use packet, 2 yummy fruit-flavored gummies that were 500 mcg. I read on the packaging that they also have a chocolate and coffee flavored gummy at a higher strength, 1500 mcg.

From taking one dosage, I certainly couldn’t tell if the vitamins did anything, but the package came with a $2 off coupon and I have a 25% off CVS coupon for any purchase so I think I may give it a try!

I have read online on a physician’s website that vitamin B12 comes in 4 different types that have different absorption rates. Methylcobalamin is the form that is most easily absorbed. It doesn’t say on the Sundown Naturals materials I received what type this is, but I am hoping that the manufacturer would use the most beneficial form.

Do you take vitamin B12? If so, have you experienced any positive results from it?

And give some thought to signing up for PINCHme. I think you’d enjoy it! But it looks like PINCHme ships only to the U.S. and Australia at the present time.

    1. PINCH me is fun but I was disappointed to learn that outside of the U.S., they ship only to Australia! Go figure. All the way across the world, but not to Canada. Weird. I think I will give a bottle of B12 a try and see if I feel any more energetic. Seems worth it.

  3. I take B12 daily as I’m a vegetarian. You need to look into the type of B12 in the vitamins you take because some are actually a form a cyanide (from what I’ve found in my research). 🙁
