There’s been a lot of buzz lately about new IT Cosmetics Superhero Elastic Stretch Mascara. I tuned in to QVC about a month ago when I picked up the Your Most Beautiful Skin Collection that included the Cushion Foundation, Cream Blush, and pink lipstick (reviewed here). Just after I placed my order, they demonstrated the Superhero Mascara. I wouldn’t have believed it, if I hadn’t seen it myself. The model’s lashes became super long!
I waited, but continued to see more photos and reviews of this miracle mascara online. I went to the IT Cosmetics website to buy it a couple of weeks ago, and it was listed as sold out. Then I caught IT Cosmetics on QVC shortly thereafter, and there it was! They were demoing it again, and selling it for an amazing price: 2 for $26.36!
The box makes big claims for its performance:
- 96% said lashes look stretched
- 96% saw dramatic volume and length
- 96% saw plumper looking lashes
- 100% saw a fuller lash line.
So did it live up to the hype? I’d say it definitely does!
Superhero Mascara comes in a long thin tube. The mascara has a relatively wet consistency, but it dries quickly. The long wand is a relatively normal bristle brush with a flat tip at the end.
I had no clumping or flaking. I noticed that some women apply a real lot and get extremely long, almost spidery lashes. Since I don’t like that look, I used much more restraint and my lashes look volumized and lengthened but still normal. I used a lash curler, and this mascara maintained the curl nicely.
I’d say that IT Cosmetics Superhero Mascara has quickly become one of my favorite mascaras. I definitely recommend it!
0.30 fl. oz., cruelty-free. The regular price for one tube at Ulta, Beautylish and even on the IT Cosmetics website is $24.
But the Duo still seems to be available on QVC for $26.36 which is what I paid. And use Ebates to get 2% cash back. I don’t know how much longer it will be available so if you’ve been thinking of trying it, now’s the time. It’s almost half price! That looks great on your lashes, Allison! I have been on a serious mascara kick recently and the one that blew me away was L’Oreal Telescopic Carbon Black. It’s time consuming to use it on my lashes, I take the wand out and comb both lashes again and again and then again without dipping the wand back for more products and after 5 minutes, my lashes are thick, long and curled!
I have read lots of great reviews on IT Cosmetics mascara but never tried them myself but this will be added into my list to try!

I haven’t tried the Telescopic from L’Oreal yet. Last month, I just bought another L’Oreal Voluminous Butterfly Intenza that’s my favorite L’Oreal mascara. I will definitely look into Telescopic! So many mascaras to try, right?

I’m wearing it again today, Helen, and my lashes are even longer and better this time! I’m so happy I took advantage of this great deal. BTW, the Barney’s sale starts on the 8th, and I’m considering buying the Tatcha lipstick and at least one of the Tom Ford cream shadows – which do you think would suit me?
I might have to buy this when I need a new mascara! Yes, the BNY LOVE YOURSELF Event is March 8-12. I will be posting my HUGE post with all of the step-up gifts very soon! I am also about to post my TATCHA lipstick review, and I definitely would put this at the top of your BNY list! It is, in my opinion, THE LUXURY LIPSTICK to buy this year. BNY only carries TF fragrances, so sadly you can’t really cash in on that cream eye shadow for this event. I do, however, think that you would really love Platinum and Spice the best for everyday type of wear. Platinum is a touch cooler (taupe), and Spice is a warm bronzy shade.

Oh no, so sad that the TF makeup isn’t at Barney’s. Why did I think it was? I am hugely disappointed. I will definitely get the Tatcha lipstick and I need more Rituals Cherry Blossom shower foam, but now I’m not sure what else! Damnation! When is your BNY post going up? M post will definitely go up this week. Yes, I know what is in the gift bags (one for women, one for men) and most of the Step-Up gifts for most of the participating lines. It is definitely a bummer that TF only has fragrances at BNY. Do you have any Le Labo that needs replenishing?

I’ve never used any Le Labo, Helen. I will read your forthcoming post with great interest. I have to think about this carefully now because I don’t want to spend $125 on things just to make the $200 threshold. I’m sure I’ll get inspired, and it won’t be an issue.

I picked up that same QVC collection, but didn’t see the mascara! Their Tightline mascara is one of my all-time faves. I hope they include this one in one of their next bundle deals on QVC.

The collection was on first. They mentioned that the mascara was coming up next, and I was curious about the mascara so I continued to watch. But I had already placed my order for the collection and didn’t want to pay for shipping on another order. Glad I waited coz I got a better deal on the mascara. My guess is that they’ll push the mascara on its own for a while, especially since they’re still doing that great deal 2 for $26.36.
Your lashes are looking fabulous! Mine are peach fuzz so pretty much any mascara can only do so much LOL. I have a sample of IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes unopened. Think I’ll give it a shot and see if I can scrounge a mini Superhero from somewhere.

I like Superhero much more than Hello Lashes. I was never into the Hello Lashes wand, and I prefer this formula to that one. I think Superhero is definitely worth trying. I hope they come out with a travel size soon.
