Imagine my surprise when I went to the mail a couple of weeks ago and found an unexpected package addressed to moi! I read a few reviews of Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek over the past couple of years, and it has been on my Wish List. The packaging is gorgeous, and definitely makes an impressive and lovely gift, as it comes in a pretty pink and gold-edged box with a sheer pink silky bag inside holding the lovely compact. Check this out!
The compact itself is something to show off. It’s an adorable, girly, brushed metal with pink, bejeweled compact. So cute! And there’s a handy mirror inside so you can whip it out to touch up in a restaurant, lol.
Now, I am the proud owner of the beautiful TT Dollskin blush in a shade called Feather, a apricot pink that sometimes looks deep (at night under lights) and sometimes lighter (in sunlight or daylight). It’s perfect for me, and I think it is a universally flattering shade.The blush itself is deeply pigmented. Feather has only the slightest amount of golden shimmer, just enough to give a healthy glow.
The powder is soft, finely milled and very easy to blend. The folks at Tarina Tarantino say it’s made with micronized or High Definition powders that make it easy to apply and blend.
The first time out, I appled it with a blush brush, and it was too much color for me. I switched to a fan brush so it doesn’t overpower my fair to light skin. But if you like a brighter look or have a deeper skin tone, try it with a blush brush.
Another thing that I love about this blush is that it is long lasting. It definitely wears for 8+ hours on my dry skin. If blush disappears on you, this would be a good one to try, and using a setting spray would make it really last forever.
Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek contains 0.2 oz/6 g. It’s made in Canada. I was interested to learn that it is distributed by Sephora. The price is $25, but it’s a beautiful splurge. So thank you again to my benefactress!!
Feather is also available as part of a Dollskin Cheek quad for $45.

Lovely colour! I’ve seen this shade on several people now and I think it looks fantastic on each. I would be thrilled to receive this as a gift as well. 🙂
I believe TT ended the relationship with sephora though, so one needs to order direct from the “sparkle factory” (that’s totally what they call their headquarters, lol! How cute!) now. Not sure if any other web retailers carry the line, maybe another reader will know!
I think they still have some kind of relationship with Sephora because it’s hinted at on the Sephora website. But I know that Tarina Tarantino is often on Hautelook, though I’ve never been lucky enough to find the makeup at Nordstrom Rack. I was so thrilled to get this pretty thing, and the shade and lastingness does not disappoint!

How pretty! I got one of their Dollskin blush duos awhile back in a Wantable box and thought it was okay (the sparklicity was weird), but I think I would prefer this powder version!

There’s essentially no sparkle in this shade, thankfully. I think you might like it, Sammi. I usually prefer cream shadows, but I must say that I’m a convert to this particular powder. So easy to apply and it just lasts until I take it off.

In my opinion, a peachy pink shade such as this works on almost every skin shade. It’s my go to when I don’t know what blush color to pick.

I love TT blush. I use the ones I have all the time. My favorite is Parasol which I named the 2014 blush of the year for me. It’s continuing as the 2015 blush of the year. Feather looks perfect on you.
