Yesterday, I received another unexpected package from my generous benefactress. Again, she shouldn’t have done it, but she knows that I love the quality and the adorable girly packaging from the Tarina Tarantino makeup brand!
This time, she sent me an adorable lipgloss. I love limited edition “original packaging”: the pink handle of the wand and the bow on the tube. So cute <3
The shade that she sent, My Pretty, is a soft peachy-pink (my shade!) with a soft shimmer.
It’s an MLBB shade that coordinates so beautifully with the lighter pink wand handle. I just love looking at the tube! The slightly pointed applicator has an angled neck that makes it so easy to apply. It has a beautiful glossy shine.
The gloss has a fruit candy scent that the Tarina Tarantino website describes as “peach sorbet”. It’s a pleasant scent, but it immediately disappears once on my lips. The gloss goes on easily and smoothly. It’s so hydrating! It doesn’t feel sticky on, but I am aware that it’s there (in a good way). It stays on for quite a while. I just ate dinner, and though it doesn’t show up like it did before dinner, I can still feel it hydrating my lips.
The TT website also says that it is lip plumping, but it doesn’t contain the dreaded peppermint oil, yay! So that’s a double plus for me 😛
Tarina Tarantino Gem Gloss comes in 8 beautiful shades (though all may not be available), about half with shimmer and half a traditional gloss. The tube contains 4 ml. Tarina Tarantino Gem Gloss is priced at $19. It’s available on beauty.com, ebay and the Tarina Tarantino website.

I’m not sure what the story is with Tarina Tarantino makeup. I often think they’re on the verge of calling it quits, but they still sell on their website. It sometimes shows up at Nordstrom Rack/Hautelook. The packaging is always adorable and the quality is great. Not sure why they don’t support it/advertise it more

Rachel, this is my first lippie from Tarina Tarantino. I’m so happy that my friend found this one in the original TT packaging instead of the less girly looking packaging on the gloss now. But the formula is wonderful: it is so hydrating and not particularly sticky. I love it!

Tarina Tarantino is a jewelry designer who came out with a line of adorable, girly-looking makeup a number of years ago. It’s made in Canada so you need to know about it, lol! It used to be sold at Sephora, but now it’s available on the TT website and it shows up sometimes on Hautelook & at Nordstrom Rack. Gem Gloss is so hydrating, I just love it.

Tarina Tarantino makeup doesn’t get advertised very much so I’m not surprised you weren’t familiar with it. It used to be sold at Sephora, but now just on their own website and other random places. It sometimes shows up on Hautelook and Nordstrom Rack at great prices! I hope the brand isn’t being discontinued coz I adore the packaging and the products are very good too.
I have yet to try anything from this brand but I am always wowed by what I see.
