Every now and then, Tarte has a sale. Sometimes the sale is linked to a holiday, and sometimes it just shows up. The really excellent thing about Tarte sales is that it’s a 30% off sale. Can’t beat that.
I had been eyeing the round Showstopper palette since it came out, and I thought I would pick it up during a sale like this. But when I looked at the shades, I thought they were definitely pretty, but I certainly have others that are very close. Plus the unique round shape of the palette is great to look at, but not so great to store or to travel with. I passed on it. Instead, I picked up random things that caught my eye.
I don’t recall seeing this lipstick and lipgloss in one at Ulta or Sephora, but maybe I haven’t been looking closely. How could I miss this beauty?
The golden double-ended tube certainly is eye-catching.
The shades that I chose are beautiful, and will be great for fall. The duo is called Sass, mauve: IMHO, the lipstick is a rose-mauve, while the lipgloss is plum. Maybe together those shades make mauve?
Both are hydrating and comfortable to wear, containing moisturizing ingredients: maracula, coconut, vitamin E, and mineral pigments. I love wearing them.

Limited Edition Clay Pot Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner
I like cream liners because they’re easier for me to apply. Perhaps because this is a metallic, it’s not as smooth as the L’Oreal cream liner that I love, but it’s not difficult to apply. Spirit Animal is bronze. The color is a wow. There are 7 other shades, unusual colors – white, pink, mint, navy etc. – in the limited edition. The regular line has traditional shades like black and brown.

I love me a bent-neck brush for applying eyeliner, and I only own one of them. Now I have two. Plus this brush not only has the bent-neck, it has a regular eyeliner brush on the other end. I love this brush. Price $15

I was tempted to purchase that brush but decided against it because I didn’t have a way to store double ended eye liner brush. Do you just leave it laying down? I never tried L’Oreal gel liner, so far I’ve tried Rimmel and Maybelline which I love. Maybelline one dried up really quick but Rimmel one lasted me for almost two years.

I have an apothecary jar where I store most of my brushes and they are quite tightly packed so a double-ended brush gets, more or less, suspended in the jar among the other brushes. I also have a pencil case style of brush holder that I could keep it in but I just stick it in the jar. I haven’t tried the Maybelline gel liner, but I think that L’Oreal is even better than Rimmel. It stays put better/longer IMHO. 🙂
The Tarte lip duo’s are the bomb! I have two (although can’t recall the colors as I’m not home), but really love these.

I love lipstick and gloss combos like that. I used to have one in almost the same shade from Senna that I adored. I should get this!

Make sure you keep the lid on the eyeliner on tightly since they do dry out if you aren’t careful. That color is really a beauty.
