TATCHA Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

I have been obsessed with TATCHA, the Japanese luxury skincare brand, ever since I saw photos of the beautiful indigo blue moisturizer from their Indigo Collection. TATCHA has borrowed beauty secrets from modern day geishas and combined them with cutting edge science to create the most exquisite skincare products. Because Victoria Teal, the founder and CEO, suffered from dermatitis, she made sure that each TATCHA product would be safe and gentle as well as effective.

A few weeks ago, I received TATCHA Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, a silky liquid spray-on moisturizer of Squalane, Red Algae and TATCHA’s HADASEI-3 complex that can be misted on the skin on its own or over makeup for a burst of soothing hydration.

Although I wear sunscreen and a hat and sit under an umbrella at the beach, sometimes my skin feels sore and dry afterwards. Applying TATCHA Luminous Dewy Skin Mist makes my skin feel so much better. This product would be fabulous to bring along on a flight where the air is so drying. It’s also great to turn my MUFE Velvet Mat HD Foundation from a matte finish to a dewy finish with just a couple of sprays of this fine mist!

The product is very easy to use. With other sprays, I often dislike spraying myself in the face, but the mist from the TATCHA spray bottle is so fine that I don’t mind at all. I gently shake the bottle to mix the formula, hold the bottle about 6 inches from my face, and spray once or twice. Easy peasy. No dripping, no mess. The mist has a faint very pleasant scent that disappears on contact.

I love Luminous Dewy Skin Mist now, but I know I’ll be reaching for it even more often as the season changes. During the fall and winter, the dry outdoor and indoor air really does a number on my skin. I look forward to having this mist spray on hand to rehydrate my skin without affecting my makeup.

In addition to being effective and so easy to use, I love the TATCHA packaging. Luminous Dewy Skin Mist really is stunning in person. It comes in a slim lavender ombre glass spray bottle with gold details. I love displaying the beautifully made container on my shelf in bathroom.

TATCHA Luminous Dewy Skin Mist contains 1.35 fl. oz./40 ml and is priced at $48. Many of the TATCHA products are also available in travel size, as is this one for $15. It’s a great way to try out this luxury brand! TATCHA skincare products are made in Japan. The Luminous Dewy Mist Spray does not contain high levels of alcohol and fragrance found in conventional hydrating sprays, which can dry out the skin. TATCHA products are formulated without mineral oil, synthetic fragrances, sulfate detergents, parabens, PEGs, PPGs, urea, DEA, TEA or phthalates. The Luminous Dewy Mist Spray is recommended for dry and combination skin.

It is sold on the TATCHA website (If you haven’t noticed, I have been running an ad for TATCHA at the top of my blog for the past few months that you can use to order from if you are so inclined to help support Never Say Die Beauty!) as well as at Sephora and Barney’s. TATCHA provides free shipping within the US as well as free samples of other TATCHA skincare products. TATCHA provides a money back guarantee on all their products and covers the return shipping as well should you need to do that. Finally, if you have questions about TATCHA products or which ones would best suit your skin, you can call for a consultation with a skincare specialist at (888) 739-2932 x1 Monday through Friday, 9 A.M to 5 P.M PST.

Special Offer: TATCHA’s Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil, one of the geisha’s original beauty secrets, is a free gift in the travel size with any order of $40 or more through July 31 with the code SUMMERCLEANSE. I love cleansing oils, and camellia cleansing oil, yes!

TATCHA is a wonderful source of information about skin and skincare. In fact, in addition to their blog, they have started a beauty guide and their first article was almost as if it was written just for me, Tips for Caring for Sensitive Skin. Check it out if you have sensitive skin for some useful information, and steps to keep it feeling, well, less sensitive!

I look forward to trying more products from TATCHA. In fact, I’ve got my eye on the latest addition to the Indigo Collection:  Indigo Soothing Triple Recovery Cream. TATCHA describes it as “a powerful anti-aging face cream that marries the anti-inflammatory properties of Indigo with soothing 3% Colloidal Oatmeal, the highest concentration available in any over-the-counter product. The rich cream is so gentle, it even nourishes skin irritated by eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis.” Definitely sounds like a skincare product that I need to add to my arsenal.

  2. Oh wow this sounds fabulous. I have very oily skin so im not sure it would be suited to me but if my skin was drier then I’d definitely try it out xxxx

    1. Although this product is not for oily skin, Tatcha has such an incredible line of effective but luxury skincare. And many of the products come in travel size which is great to try them out!

  3. I’ve been meaning to try Tatcha! I’ve heard a lot of good things about them. I can’t even imagine using something with the word “dewy” in the title right now, but I think it would really come in handy for winter! $15 isn’t a bad splurge for a luxury item.

    1. The travel size products are a great way to try out Tatcha’s luxury but effective skincare products especially for those of us on a budget!

  4. Definitely need to try this. I’m almost done with my Evian water mist and am in the market for another. 🙂
Shipra recently posted…Pretty & Polished July Body Box ReviewMy Profile

    1. This is different, Shipra, from Evian water. It’s not water! It’s a moisturizer in a fine mist. Unlike my Evian and Avene sprays, the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Mist Spray hydrates my skin with lasting moisture that doesn’t dry up and it can transform a matte foundation to a lasting dewy look. I love it because it’s so different. I know I’ll be using it even more often once the weather turns colder.

      1. Sounds great! I need to try it, especially for my matte foundations in the winter! 🙂

    1. Haha, Mai! It is such a gorgeous product, and the mist is so light but very hydrating. I’ve been using it especially when I come back from being in the sun (even wearing sunscreen) when my skin feels stressed. But I know this product will really shine for me this fall and winter 🙂

  6. I used to have dry skin until the last few days I woke feeling oily on my nose and the T zone. I’m not if it’s the medication that I took or the weather that make my skin oily. I don’t want my makeup to melt on me in the summer and I’m loving light BB or cc cream but your review on the spray mist makes me want to check it out more. Thanks Allison for a great review as always. xo
