Theraderm Re:Version Spot Treatment PM

Heat, humidity and mask wearing causes my typically desert-dry skin to break out a few weeks ago. Even though my 5 year old discontinued Shiseido IBUKI Multi Solution Gel that has lost some of its efficacy managed to get rid of the two blemishes on my forehead under my bangs, the blemish from wearing a mask would not heal. It was driving me crazy.

Theraderm Re:Version Spot Treatment PM to the rescue!

Typically, I turn down offers to try skincare products for acne, but when I was offered an opportunity to try Theraderm Re:Version Spot Treatment PM, I jumped at the chance. I have found dermatologist-developed Theraderm Clinical Skincare products to be highly effective, so why not try their spot treatment. Fortunately, it arrived overnight.

Re:Version comes in a plastic tube with a slim applicator tip that allowed me to squeeze just a bit of the stark white cream directly onto the blemish. The white cream is opaque so using it at night or while at home is a must. Theraderm has other products for daytime use. Nevertheless, it is recommended to wear a sunscreen outdoors when using the product (not that I don’t use sunscreen everyday anyway!).

The active ingredients are benzoyl peroxide at a 7.5% level and kaolin (clay). Thus, I wasn’t surprised that it was a little bit drying, but I applied it directly to the blemish and dry it out was just what it did. After the first nighttime application, it had dried down significantly. After the second night’s use, it was gone. Success!

If you tend to get summertime blemishes and need a quick acting remedy, check out Theraderm Re:Version Spot Treatment PM. It is priced at $26 for 15 ml/0.5 oz.

Ingredients: Benzoyl peroxide, Aloe barbadensis leaf juice, Bentonite, Kaolin, Glycerin, Propylene glycol, Cetyl alcohol, Glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate, Triticum vulgare (wheat) germ oil, Zinc oxide, Titanium dioxide, Phenoxyethanol, Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, Magnesium aluminum silicate, Chamomilla recutita (matricaria) flower extract, Eucalyptus globulus leaf oil, Methylisothiazolinone. It is gluten-free and parabens-free.

BTW, Theraderm is having a promotion now for another product that I’ve been using for the past few months, Theraderm Cleansing Wash. If you purchase the large 16 ounce pump bottle of mild, non-irritating, fragrance-free Theraderm Cleaning Wash, you get the 5  product Peptide Hydrating/Anti-aging Travel System for free with the code CLEANSE2020. I loved every product in this system:

  • Cleansing Wash (1 oz.)
  • Fruit Acid Exfoliant (.33 oz.)
  • OPC Reparative Serum (.33 oz.)
  • Choice of Moisturizer (.25 oz.)
  • Gentle Action Application Pads (25 ct.)

especially the Eternox Peptide Creme and the OPC Reparative Serum that I recently and sadly finished up. It also comes with the fabulous exfoliating pads. Worth a look!

  7. I like that aloe is the second ingredient in this. So many acne products either don’t have it or it’s way down on the ingredient list and I never understood that with how beneficial aloe is to the skin.

    1. I think that aloe is the second ingredient since this acne spot treatment has such a high percentage benzoyl peroxide as well as kaolin. It would be too drying without a lot of aloe and other hydrating ingredients.

  8. This sounds like a good spot treatment.
