Thinking Spring Mani

I haven’t done a nail polish post in a long time.

Though we’re expecting a Nor’easter starting tonight for the next couple of days, the weather has been beautiful and unseasonably warm this week. My white hellebores are in full bloom, and it seems like spring is just around the corner. In fact, I read that spring is 20 days early this year.

In response to the spring-y weather, I put spring polish on my nails. Last year around this time, I bought a limited edition polish that was introduced for POLISHCON, an indie nail polish conference that was held in Brooklyn. The polish is from cruelty-free indie brand, Bohemian Polish, and the shade is Makin’ Bacon Pancakes, a peach cream with gold shimmer. Here it is on its own. So pretty.

I bought it on Etsy after I saw swatches on a nail blogger’s website. Unfortunately, Bohemian Polish’s Etsy shop doesn’t have any items in it right now.

I decided to gild the lily by applying a sparkly topcoat, Fairy Dust, from China Glaze. Here’s what Fairy Dust looks like on its own. I think everyone needs a bottle, lol, and it is still available.

I used Seche Vite clear base coat, and ended with Zoya Armor topcoat.

Here’s the finished look. Hope it’s not too juvenile. I like it anyway 😉
