This Year’s Haul from Nature Island Botanicals

I Bought This Retail Sample/Gift Informational Link

I’ve been buying artisan-made, natural and organic bath and body products from Daphne at Nature Island Botanicals for 14 years.

Daphne's booth at Gloucester Waterfront Festival 2019

Actually I thought it was even longer, but Daphne said she has been coming to the Waterfront Festival at Gloucester MA since 2005. I absolutely remember what initially drew me to her booth. It was the divine scent of her products. I could smell the coconut of her signature scent, Caribbean Escape, from several booths away even in the beautiful outdoor setting. Yum! And I’ve been hooked ever since 🙂

my 2019 haul of organic bath and body products from Nature Island Botanicals

This year, I had Jeff in tow so I made fairly quick work of my annual visit with Daphne. I bought my regular products:

  • Caribbean Escape Body Butter: that comes in a jar and is a whipped creamy, hydrating but lightweight lotion
  • Citrus Sunrise Body Lotion: that comes in a pump bottle and is thicker, more like a body butter lol

Those two body care products are my go-to products. And I adore both scents. So some years, I reverse it and buy the Body Butter in Citrus Sunrise and the Body Lotion in Caribbean Escape. Either way, I love them all!

Because I am such a coconut fiend, I bought Nature Island Botanicals’ new Caribbean Romance Body Scrub. Heck, I don’t usually even use body scrub. But this one smells so delightfully coconut-y and felt so smooth as well as smoothing, I couldn’t resist. It’s made from organic apricot kernel, grape seed and Vitamin E oils, organic unrefined shea and coco butters, organic cane sugar, and fragranced with coconut absolute. Heavenly!

This year, I tried two new handmade soaps. NIB soaps are truly the best! Not only do they smell divine, but they are so incredibly hydrating. I picked up new Pomegranate & Mango made from organic oils and butters and organic mango puree.

Daphne’s soaps are so big that I either cut them in half or in thirds so they me last for months.

The other soap I bought was the new Spa Bar fragranced with Sea Berry and Amber. The scent is fresh and fabulous, like a spa scent.

I love the blue green swirls and the scallop shell embedded in the soap. The Spa Bar is even larger than Daphne’s regular big bars. I swear that this one weighs about a pound. I’ll probably be cutting this one into 6 pieces, it’s so big! The Spa Bar contains organic sunflower, rice bran, coconut, and extra virgin olive oils as well as Fair Trade organic shea and coco butters. I can’t stop sniffing this one.

glass tube filled with pink Himalayan Sat and organic herbs and flowers: Nature Island Botanicals Body and Foot Soak

Last, Daphne gifted me another new product: Bath and Foot Soak made from organic herbs and flowers and pink Himalayan salt crystals. It comes in a glass test tube. I haven’t tried it yet, but the scent alone is incredible. The two key notes that I smell are eucalyptus and peppermint. So amazing! The herbs instantly unclog my sinuses and create a relaxing environment. Heck, maybe I’ll just keep it around and sniff it every few minutes.

Oh, I should mention that when the temperature gets cooler I will be buying Nature Island Botanicals new body oil in my favorite Caribbean Escape scent (it also comes in White Ginger for floral fans). It will be perfect for winter when my skin is extra dry. Plus, I am planning on seeing if I can use it as fragrance behind my ears, at my temples and throat. Honestly, I have been dying for Caribbean Escape fragrance oil since I first starting using NIB back in 2005, so maybe this will be the product that can do double-duty for me!

If you are a fan of organic, natural and handmade bath and body products that have fantastic ingredients and tropical fragrances, you must must must give Nature Island Botanicals a try. Daphne goes to a different craft festival along the East Coast just about every weekend from May through December (I don’t know where she gets the energy!). She also sells some of her products on Etsy. Or call or text her at (954) 646-4005 and she’ll ship them out to you. Check out Nature Island Botanicals on Facebook, too. You won’t be disappointed!
