Treets Traditions Relaxing Chakra’s Body Oil

A few months back, I wrote about a new-to-me natural body care brand from the Netherlands, Treets Traditions.

Check out my review of Healing In Harmony Body Cream and their fab Nourishing Spirits Foaming Shower Gel here. I was delighted to get to try another of their products: Relaxing Chakra’s Body Oil, Rose and Rice Bran Oil.

I have mixed relationships with body oil because some of them feel great when I apply them but over a few hours, some completely disappear into my dry skin, and within a few hours, my skin especially on my limbs can look and feel dry. So when Treets Traditions Relaxing Chakra’s Body Oil arrived, I was somewhat skeptical but game to give it a try.

I’m pleased to report that Relaxing Chakra’s Rose & Rice Bran Body Oil with vitamin E definitely does a good job keeping my skin feeling soft and hydrated. I was surprised that my skin even felt and looked good the next morning. Yay!

Relaxing Chakra’s Body Oil also hydrates without feeling greasy. The oil absorbs quickly, and I don’t have to wait forever to get dressed. Also, an NSDB reader recently left a comment about another brand of body oil saying that she was using it up too fast because she had to use so much. I didn’t have to use a whole lot IMO. I apply it while my skin is still damp, and a small amount goes a long way.

The variety I received, Rose & Rice Bran Body Oil, has a faint rose scent. Actually, it reminds me of the soft Japanese Cherry Blossom scent from RITUALS Sakura Foaming Shower Gel most likely because of the rice brand. Lovely while applying it, and then it’s gone so it doesn’t interfere with any fragrance I decide to wear.

Relaxing Chakra’s Body Oil comes in a clear pink plastic squeeze bottle. Very pretty! My only minor complaint is the push down/flip up cap. When I try to squeeze some oil out, more comes out than I actually need. I wish it had a pump top. Certainly not a major problem, but I want to make it last as long as possible. Maybe it’s just the bottle I got.

Treets Traditions Relaxing Chakra’s Body Oil, Rose & Rice Bran Body Oil, 150 ml/5.07 fl. oz., is priced at $15. I recommend it! It comes in other scents, but I love this one. In fact, I plan to try the Shower Foam that’s part of this line next. You can find Treets Traditions Relaxing Chakra’s Body Oil on the Treets Traditions website and at Ulta Beauty among other retailers. 1. I have the same mixed experience with body oils and the ones that I really like and get along with are from Palmer’s. They are heaven sent especially during winter!

    1. I believe that Treets Tradition, a natural brand from The Netherlands, is new to the U.S., but since it’s at Ulta hopefully we’ll hear more about it!

  5. Body Oils are funny since they sometimes don’t dry down or they dry down too much. I’m glad you found a well priced winner!

    1. I was initially surprised at how different they can be from each other. It must be the type(s) of oil(s) used in the formula. I need to study the ingredients here because this combo is a winner for me!

        1. No worries, I was teasing you, Anastasia. The shower foam is terrific because it foams up much better than my other fave, RITUALS Sakura Foaming Shower Gel. I tried the Treet Traditions version of shower foam in another scent. I plan to try the Relaxing Chakra version because I think it will be the rose & rice brand scent that smells like the RITUALS Sakura/Japanese cherry blossom scent. That’s what I meant. Rather complex and confusing, my bad!

  8. Oh, I’m loving this! Great post! I need to look into this brand.

    1. It’s a wonderful body oil, and the scent is so delicate. I wear RITUALS Sakura body mist afterwards and I smell like spring 😉

  10. First time that i’ve heard about a product named as a body oil, i know about a tissue oil or are they basically the same? Great review and pic’s
Leanie recently posted…THE BODY SHOP | VIRGIN MOJITO BODY BUTTERMy Profile

    1. We don’t have “tissue oil” in the U.S., and you don’t have “body oil”! Body oil is just that. Oil you apply to your body when you get out of the shower onto damp skin instead of lotion or body butter. This is a particularly good one IMHO

  11. I never use body oils because in my mind they hold scents after you apply for longer than lotions, and scents make my allergies act up 🙁 This one sounds lovely if I did, though!

    1. I wish the Treets Traditions Relaxing Chakra Body Oil would keep the scent longer! It pretty much disappears on contact, and it is mild to begin with. That’s why I enhance it with RITUALS Body Mist. But I know that lots of people like you can’t handle scented products because of allergies and other reasons.

  12. This sounds like a body oil that I would definitely love!

  13. the dry down in an oil is EVERYTHING. If it has a slow dry down, it better wax my car and buy groceries for me too, or I’ll walk….sounds like you found a good one!
