Two Unique Exfoliating Products: PUR JoyStick Deep Pore Cleanser and Beauty Junkees Lip Pumice

Today, I’ve got two unique exfoliating products to tell you about. I haven’t seen anything like either one of them.

PUR Cosmetics Joystick Exfoliating Deep Pore Cleanser

My pores aren’t usually that big or noticeable thank goodness. But recently I was surprised to see that when I applied too much foundation, it settled into my pores, and I had never had that happen before. It bugged me.

Just around that time, I received a cool new product from PUR Cosmetics: Joystick Exfoliating Deep Pore Cleanser.

I’ve never seen anything like this stick. The stick is a solid cream with exfoliating bits. I apply it to my nose and the pores on either side of my nose, add a little water and rub it and rinse. Sometimes instead of using an exfoliating mask, I’ll apply it all over my face avoiding my eyes, and again add water and lather it up. It leaves my skin feeling soft and I mean truly baby skin soft as well as ultra clean with almost invisible pores.

Because my skin is very dry and somewhat sensitive, I use it only a couple of times a week: once on just my T-zone as recommended and usually once on my entire face for a deep cleansing. The exfoliating bits do their thing to clean my pores, while the cream that forms the stick is both cleansing and hydrating. It even has a built-in toner. Such a nifty and handy multi-tasking skincare product! I probably would never have bought this on my own because of my dry skin, but I’m so happy I have it! I’d say PUR Joystick would be especially perfect for combination or oily skin.

If you’re interested, check out the Joystick Exfoliating Deep Pore Cleanser on the PUR website. Price $26. 0.1 oz./2.8g. Cruelty-free. BTW, when I went to the website just now, it offered me a free mini-mascara and free shipping. Nice.

Beauty Junkees Lip Pumice

Beauty Junkees never ceases to amaze me. They keep coming out with wonderful beauty products at absolutely incredible prices. Although I have several other BJ products to tell you about shortly, I had to let you know about their unique Lip Pumice, just in time for helping winter dry lips or lips dried out from using liquid matte lipsticks or for whatever reason you may have dry lips.

Lip Pumice is similar to the Joystick. It is a hydrating lipstick-like bullet with exfoliating bits. I doubt that the exfoliating bits are made from actual pumice (a type of volcanic rock, right?) since it’s used on the lips, but it acts like a pumice stone.

I reach for my Beauty Junkees Lip Pumice often. I’ve just gotten over a very bad virus, and the fever and illness dried out my already dry lips even more. So I use Lip Pumice sometimes a few times a day. It removes the dry flakey skin and leaves my lips feeling softer and more hydrated. It’s also perfect to use right before applying a matte lipstick. What a useful tube!

Beauty Junkees Lip Pumice is sold on Amazon. Right now, it’s on sale for $10. And for readers of Never Say Die Beauty, I’ve got a new discount code: NEVERS15 that will give you 15% off (you can use it on Lip Pumice and/or on other Beauty Junkees products). The code is valid till 2/28/17. In terms of size, it is 2.8 x 0.8 x 0.8 inches ; 0.5 ounces. Made in the U.S. Paraben-free, gluten-free, cruelty-free.

Thanks Allison,I just used your discount code and picked up the lip exfoliator. I love Pur products and this stick looks great,I’m about to give the Tarte one from my Sephora play bag a try.I’ve got a pesky pimple right now that I’m trying to get rid of so I’m about to toss all my drawers for an effective product. Have a great weekend.

    1. That’s great, Laura! Thank you, and I hope you like the Beauty Junkee Lip Pumice. It’s especially handy during the day or on the go because of the stick form. I have such dry lips this winter because I’ve had bronchitis since New Year’s Eve (not sure why they’re related but they seem to be!). I also just received the Tarte Frxxxtion Stick in my Sephora bag, and it looks so different because of the deep purple color. I can’t see the exfoliating bits. But I am looking forward to trying it this week and comparing the two. Hope you’re having a good weekend, too! Watching football today 🙂

  12. I’m a huge fan of lip exfoliators! I use one every night before bed 🙂

    1. I have a few that I like, but this one is so handy to use especially on the go because of the stick form

  13. I want to try that lip exfoliator! It looks great! <3

    1. It works for me! So much easier to use than a tub exfoliator.

  14. I thought I’d tried just about every type of exfoliator, but I’ve never used a stick. So interesting!

  15. My exfoliating lippy from Beauty Junkees has been my go-to since I got it. Usually I use a sugar lip scrub that I make or from Lather and I love them, but I’ve been on the go lately and the BJ one is so fast to use in the morning. I love it. Totally repurchasing.

    1. I agree, Honey. The Lip Pumic stick is just so easy and clean to use. I have two scrubs in pots that I like because they taste so good, but I think the Lip Pumic actually does a better job removing the dry flakes from my lips.

  16. I think I’d like these!

  18. Ooh I’ve never used a lip exfoliator quite like that, it sounds really good! x

    1. Neither had I, Becca! But now I’m a real fan. Using a stick exfoliator on my lips is so much easier, faster and neater than sticking my finger in a little pot like I did before. Yay!

  19. The joystick sounds cool! I have’t tried these before. My intrigued to try the PUR exfoliator.

    1. The PUR Joystick Exfoliating Stick is terrific! I got a similar stick in last month’s Sephora Play bag, but the PUR Joystick wins the day!
