Typology TEN-1003 Hydrating Body Cream

A month ago, I introduced you to Typology, one of my new favorite skincare brands. Made in France with effective natural and organic ingredients in simple, retro apothecary-style and recyclable packaging, I couldn’t help but fall in love with it.

Today, I would like to tell you about TEN Crème Hydratante Corps, a terrific hydrating body cream. TEN Hydrating Body Cream contains 10 ingredients. That’s how Typology creates their products. A minimal number of ingredients. Nothing that doesn’t contribute to the overall efficacy of the product. Here they are:

  1. Organic coconut oil: rich in saturated fatty acids, this oil nourishes and prevents skin dehydration. Although technically fragrance-free (it has no added fragrance), the coconut oil has a subtle coconut smell if you stick your nose into the cream. I love that it’s unscented so I can wear any fragrance I like.

  2. Vegetable glycerin: derived from rapeseeds and sunflower seeds, glycerin captures moisture from the air and provides hydration to your skin.

  3. Purified water: works as a solvent for blending ingredients together in a formula. It’s been purified to eliminate all traces of bacteria.

  4. Caprylic/Capric triglyceride: originating from plant sources, capric triglyceride leaves a soft feeling on the skin.

  5. Behenyl alcohol: derived from rapeseed to give texture to the cream.

  6. Glyceryl stearate: emulsifier of plant origin to allow the formula to remain stable over time.
  7. Pentylene glycol: derived from sugar cane, pentylene glycol provides surface layer hydration to the skin.

  8. Citric acid: derived from the fermentation of corn, citric acid stabilizes the pH of the formula to avoid irritating the skin.

  9. Polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate: this plant-derived ingredient blends the oily and aqueous phases of the formula together.

  10. O-cymen-5-ol: a preservative that prevents the development of bacteria.

TEN Hydrating Body Cream is a lightweight, white cream that at first I was afraid wouldn’t be rich and hydrating enough for my very dry, mature skin.

Lately, I have been using rich, heavy creams some of which require a lot of rubbing to get the white to disappear. Not so TEN Hydrating Body Cream. Massage it into the skin with circular motions, and it absorbs and dries quickly with no greasy residue. Yet it is very hydrating. It definitely helps dispel the look of crepey skin. This is my arm looking quite smooth. Honestly, I am a convert.

In addition, TEN Hydrating Body Cream is vegan and cruelty-free. Importantly, it’s suitable for those with sensitive skin.

TEN’s simple tube contains 4.4 fl. oz./130 ml, is priced at $29.30, and is sold on the Typology website. Not cheap, but it does a great job and is easy to use. Love it!

    1. Absolument, ma chere!

  2. My husband could use this even more than I could. His arms need extra moisturizing. The dermatologist got him using a cream, maybe I can convince him to up his game with this.

    1. I think he might not mind using this moisturizer, Marcia. It is definitely gender neutral, doesn’t have a fragrance, it absorbs easily with no white residue, and isn’t greasy. Who knows? I have been trying to get Jeff to remember to use a body cream/lotion for more than a year. As unhappy as he is with the look of his skin, he just doesn’t remember to use it.
