Ulta 21 Days of Beauty Spring 2015

You may be way ahead of me, but I just realized a couple of days ago that Ulta’s spring 21 Days of Beauty is upon us. In fact, it starts on Sunday, March 15. And it goes into the beginning of April, ending on April 4.

Ulta-cover

I just got my Ulta catalogue in the mail today. Hopefully, you’ve already gotten yours. As always, there’s a lot to love so I have to whittle down my selections to just a few pieces. Unfortunately, one item that I really want comes out on the day I have jury duty. Just my luck.

I see a lot to like. We all have our wants and needs. I think it’s a great opportunity to stock up on staples like:

  • Bare Minerals All Over Face Color (does that mean mineral foundation?) & blush – March 15
  • Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes – March 17
  • Urban Decay Eye Primer: Primer Potion and Anti-aging – March 21
  • Smashbox Photofinish Eye Primer – March 27
  • IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness – April 3
  • Smashbox Original Photofinish Foundation Primer – April 4

And then, there are things that I just want:

  • Stila All Day Vinyl Lip Gloss – March 26
  • Lorac Champagne Dreams Eye Shadow Palette – March 29
  • Japonesque Blush – March 31

Finally, if you don’t have a cute Too Faced Flush Blush, it’s on sale on April 1, and that’s no joke!

So what’s on your list??

  1. I got mine yesterday! I hate that Ulta is so far away because I like to touch before buying.

    1. I feel the same way, Krystal. Luckily, there is one near me, but at least one of the products I want is online only, boo hoo. I hate paying the shipping when the store is less than 10 miles away!

  2. I am so excited for the 21 days of beauty! I used to work at Ulta for a while and this was by far my favorite sale, so many goodies! I’ll be interested to see what you end up getting and what you think!

    1. That’s so cool that you used to work at Ulta! I conducted a research project for a makeup manufacturer at the Ulta stores a couple of years ago, and everyone was so nice there. I thought it might be enjoyable — but a lot of work! – to work there. I’m psyched for the sale!

      1. I loved working at Ulta! Everyone was great! Sadly I also worked a full time office job at the time, and it just go to be too much!

    1. Ulta has been sending me stuff at the last minute over the last year, boo. But luckily, we can all find it online! Love this sale!

  4. Yes, I am SO excited! I love their sales. I am definitely going to be picking up a Too Faced blush and maybe some Stila liquid lipsticks!

    1. I love my TF blush, and I am thinking about the Stila glosses too!

  5. I don’t “need” anything, but there are a lot of things I want haha. Love this sale!

    1. Same with me, Leigh. Usually I would need eyeshadow primer but I’m just starting a new tube and they last me a long time. I lost my Smashbox foundation primer somewhere so I’m considering that but I’m not sure I want the “original” one now that they have so many specialized ones, like anti-aging etc.

  6. The Ulta 21 Days of Beauty is a REAL test of my self-control, hahaha! I don’t “need” anything, but it’s all so pretty! And at such good deals!

    1. The same with me, Sammi. I do need a Smashbox foundation primer because I lost mine and it was almost filled, but I’m not sure I want the original formula. There are 2 things I really want & I will limit myself to those. Be strong 😉

  7. Love 21 Days of Beauty! Great deals. My Ulta isn’t super high traffic so I sould be able to get what I want, in store. *fingers crossed*

    1. Two years ago, I wasn’t at my non-high traffic Ulta at the store opening, and I missed out on the Cargo Vintage Escape Autumn palette, I think it was called, and I was livid. They only had 2 palettes in stock! I’m interested in the Lorac Champagne palette, and I’m wondering if I need to be there at 10am to get it. We’ll see.

  8. Such wonderful deals. I really look forward to Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty. 🙂

  9. My catalog just arrived in the mail. Oh no, oh no. I want to do a spring makeup makeover.

    1. It’s so tempting, isn’t it! If you are thinking about a spring makeover, consider the Lorac Champagne palette. It’s affordable, the shades look gorgeous, and the quality is there 🙂

  10. In years past, I have spent soooo much money during these Ulta days! Such good sales, though!!!

    1. It is easy to follow the siren’s song. I have two things that I really want, and lots that I’d love if someone bought them for me 😉

  11. rach says:

A sale on Butter London is always awesome because their topcoat is a staple in my arsenal, but since I’m not out I don’t know if I’ll grab another bottle or not. Other than that, It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness has been on my to-try list. You’ve got a lot to pick from on your list! 🙂

    1. I noted those two pretty shades from Butter London, each, and I was assuming that it was just those two on sale?? Or can you buy the topcoat now?? I think the Bye Bye Redness is worth getting if one needs it. I will get the Japonesque blush because I’ve wanted it for a year. And I must determine if the Lorac Champagne palette is different enough from my Unzipped Gold palette to warrant purchasing. It’s a good price and I love Lorac shadows.

      1. rach says:

My mailer says nail lacquer and treatments reg $15-19 each. That probably doesn’t include sets (and I’m not even sure they have a set for $19 or less anyways) but it should include most polish purchases. Butter London has always classified base and top coats as treatments. 🙂

Champagne looks pretty! I used to use palettes all the time but now if I can’t accomplish something pretty with a wash of one shade, then I usually can’t be bothered. lazy… lol

        1. Hahaha, I can’t believe you’re lazy, Rach. Sometimes the single shade looks are beautiful if you find the right shade! I will definitely be looking the Butter London, though I have so much polish, and I seem to be devoted to NYC’s Grand Central Station as a quick-dry topcoat coz you can’t beat the performance for the price. Is the Butter London topcoat worth the splurge?

          1. rach says:

I’ve heard a lot of buzz about using Grand Central Station as topcoat, but I haven’t bought a bottle to test since my clear-coat stash is still pretty large. She says as she contemplates buying that bottle of Butter London…. lol
I love the BL quick-dry but I think if the NYC is working for you and you like it, then there’s probably no reason to switch!
In my experience BL “plays well” with every other brand of polish I own, and I’ve pretty much read the same about NYC’s Grand Central. Has that been your experience with GCS?

          2. I like it because it’s cheap and it dries so fast. Sometimes I can get a week from a mani and sometimes not, so maybe it’s not the HG but it is really worth the price. I haven’t found any brand yet that makes a mani last a week reliably. But thanks for the info! If it is at my local Ulta if I make it to the store on that date, maybe it’ll come home with me 😉

  12. Oh, ULTA…they get me every time! I always think I’m done *needing* things, then I go and get a catalogue like this in the mail and I find 10 things I want/need haha. There are some exciting offers, I haven’t sat down yet to decided which ones are worth the splurge!

    1. I exercised restraint for the last two, and I will try to do so this time too. I’d like the Lorac Champagne palette because it’s so pretty and such a great deal, but I have to see whether it’s different enough from my Unzipped Gold palette 🙂

  13. I don’t need anything, and Ulta.com usually messes up my order and doesn’t send me my GWP or what I actually ordered half the time, but I bet if I look at the sale flyer, I’ll end up getting seduced by something. I’m so weak.

  14. I love the 21 Days of Beauty events, there is always a few things I want! The Too Faced blush is definitely a good deal, so is the UD Primer Potion.
Agata recently posted…Do You Prefer Neutral or Colored Eyeshadow Palettes? My Profile

    1. I agree, Agata! I don’t need the TF Blush since I have one and I just started a new tube of Primer Potion, but I’m looking at the Lorac Champagne Palette and wondering if it’s different enough from Unzipped Gold. What do you think?

  15. So excited for this! Can’t wait to stock up!

  17. There are some really nice goodies on this list but sadly s ince I don’t have an Ulta anywhere near me… I won’t be taking advantage of it. Everything I want can’t be shipped to me… like the Butter London :/
