Finally, we had our first day in the 70s, and in some areas of Massachusetts, it made it to 80. The sunshine and warm temperatures have put me in the mood for summer scents especially my perennial beachy favorite, coconut.
Although I have about a million body lotions, creams and butters, the summery days made me break out my Ulta Beauty Coconut Cream Body Butter.
Actually, Ulta’s private label cosmetics are quite good and certainly affordable. When I place an online order, I often add an Ulta product or two into my cart to make the $35 level for free delivery. And I have seldom regretted my Ulta purchases.
Ulta Beauty Coconut Cream Body Butter is a thick, stark white cream. It absorbs quickly and is not at all greasy. Nevertheless, it forms a protective coating on the skin that locks in moisture, making it perfect to apply directly after a shower when skin is still damp.
The Coconut Cream scent is delicious, delightful and a perfect fragrance to usher in summer. I love it. It’s not as cloying as the Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum scent can sometimes be. It’s a cleaner, sweet coconut fragrance.
I bought Ulta Beauty Coconut Cream Body Butter in March, I believe. Imagine my surprise today when, after writing this review, I went to Ulta.com to look for the price, and I discovered that they don’t carry it now. Boo, how can they not have coconut body butter now, for summer? But instead, they now have Soft Cotton as well as a new line of body butters, WHIM by Ulta Beauty, with thematic scents:

- WHIM by Ulta Beauty in a variety of scents/themes: Paradise Daydream, Glittering Nights, Sparkling Cloud, and Watermelon Waves
The above body butters are priced at $12.50 for a little less than 7 fl. oz.
Below are the ingredients for Coconut Cream that are very similar to Soft Cotton with coconut oil, shea butter, sweet almond oil as primary softening and moisturizing ingredients.
In addition, there is another Ulta Beauty body butter collection that is slightly more expensive, $14, and is formulated with essential oils:
