Valentia Even Glow Vitamin C Serum

And another vitamin C serum joins the pantheon of wonderful serums!

I had the opportunity to try Valentia Even Glow Serum with Vitamin C 20%. Even though I’ve tried about a million vitamin C serums over the past year or so, I am always up for trying new ones. As I mentioned last time, each one is different and usually shines in its own way. It’s just a matter of finding the right combination of product attributes, benefits and ingredients to suit you and your skin.

Just to review, vitamin C serum:

  • helps to stimulate collagen production
  • is an antioxidant that fights free radical damage
  • restores and regenerates previous skin damage, e.g. acne scars, hyperpigmentation, lines and wrinkles etc.
  • protects skin from UV damage by working from within and by thickening the dermis layer (However, vitamin C serum does not replace using SPF!).

Valentia Even Glow Serum arrived in an elegant white box with gold trim.

Like many others, the serum comes in a dark brown apothecary bottle to protect the effectiveness of the ingredients. It has an easy to use dropper.

What I love most about Valentia Even Glow Serum is the incredible orange scent. It’s more than just a hint of oranges. I love oranges and anything that’s orange-scented, so I really love using this one. It’s an instant pick-me-up.

The other benefit for me is that the orange serum is the perfect viscosity: thick enough that it isn’t runny, not too thick that it’s hard to get out of the dropper. Perfect.

I use it twice a day after washing my face. I apply it to face and neck, let it dry, and then apply my moisturizer. Valentia Even Glow Serum suits my skin well, and it does give me a glow after applying it. I have used so many serums I can’t really say which one did what, but overall, my skin looks better since using vitamin C serums.

Valentia Even Glow Serum with Vitamin C 20% contains 1.18 fl. oz./35 ml. It’s made in the U.S. It contains 98% natural ingredients including what they call “Skin Super Oils”: my favorite organic rosehip seed oil and also organic sea buckthorn oil. Other key ingredients in the formula include:

  • hyaluronic acid to attract moisture and keep skin hydrated
  • green tea – antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-irritant
  • plant stem cells to help skin recover from stressors.

It doesn’t contain alcohol or parabens.

    1. I love face serums, Krystal! They are definitely my BFF. I’ve tried about a million vitamin C serums, and I think this is either my favorite one or my tied for First Place vitamin C serum. I adore citrus scents, and this one has the best scent yet. It really has helped the appearance of my skin. Valentia Skin Care is a little more expensive than some of the others I’ve tried but not by much, and they do have promotions from time to time.

  3. Fantastic Serum…love how this made my skin look and feel

  9. Sounds like a must try for me! Love serums that contain both Vitamin C AND hyaluronic acid. Still loving the Coui serum as well although I would prefer something less runny.

    1. Both Valentia and Coui serums have HA in the ingredient list, but Coui has Niacinamide which is a good ingredient to have too. Unfortunately, I can’t read the Valentia ingredient list because the font is so darn small, and I’ve been unable to find a complete ingredient list for the product online. I just tested the two serums to compare their viscosity, and the Coui is a little less viscous than Valentia so you may prefer the Valentia, Kim 🙂

  10. Great review! Hyaluronic acid and Green Tea extract always worked wonders for my skin.

  11. I love Vitamin C serums, especially high concentration ones.

    1. Yes, with the 20% vitamin C, I would say this is considered a high concentration serum. Some time ago I was reading the results of one of the original studies on the efficacy of vitamin C on skin, and I think they found a significant effect even with concentrations of 10%.

  12. Vitamin C is so great for the skin, would love this serum!
