Vitabath Heavenly Coconut Creme Body Wash

Back in college, it was cool to use Vitabath’s Original Spring Green Shower Gelee or the European brand Badedas. That was before shower gel or body wash became popular in the U.S. Actually, Vitabath Spring Green was just about the only game in town.

Over the years, with all the new brands and scents and formulas to try, I stopped using Vitabath and moved on. I have quite a collection of different bottles in my shower.

I still love the fresh scent of Vitabath Spring Green. It reminds me of spring semester sophomore year in college, and I need to buy it again one of these days. But with my Ulta 20% off Thank You coupon, I decided to try one of the new scents from the new Vitabath body wash line.

I Bought This

I’m a coconut scent addict, so I couldn’t pass this one by. The size and price were right, and the new line is made without parabens or sulfates. I’m still confused about whether to avoid parabens or not, and the original Vitabath line has parabens. So that sealed the deal. I bought the Heavenly Coconut Creme Body Wash, priced at $7.99.

In focus groups, some women have told me they don’t like to use products that smell like dessert, but I don’t have a problem with that. The scent of the Vitabath Heavenly Coconut Creme Body Wash smells great in the shower, but I didn’t find that it lingered on my skin. Vitabath has a companion body lotion and body mist, but I didn’t buy them this time. Instead, I used one of the coconut scented body butters I already own.

The Vitabath Heavenly Coconut Creme Body Wash doesn’t provide a ton of lather. I tried it directly on my skin and also with a pouf, and it lathers enough for me, but you don’t get tons of bubbles like you do with some other body lotions.

It left my skin feeling clean and soft. I like it. I don’t know that it’s one of my all-time favorite body wash or shower gels both in terms of lather and scent, but I like it enough to use it often.

Next time, I may take that walk down memory lane and go back to the Original Spring Green!

The new Vitabath line is sold at Ulta, Amazon.com, and vitabath.com for about $8.The body wash contains 12 oz. and it’s made in Canada. The Vitabath “Fragrance” line has 18 scents to choose from, so you will most likely find one you like, if coconut is not your thing.

What’s your favorite scent for body wash?

Love it! And Badedas too. Once in a while I find either brand at TJ Maxx or Marshalls.

Marshalls/TJMaxx are the best for finding deals on Vitabath! I had a 20% off coupon at Ulta so that’s why I bought it there. Gotta keep my eyes open for Badedas at M/T 🙂

  2. I love floral scents so love almost all of the Philosophy line. I like coconut scented products as they remind me of Hawaii.

I should take a look at the Philosophy line one of these days. And yes, coconut is Hawaii or the beach!
