Wet N Wild Color Icon Rainbow Highlighter Unicorn Glow

A couple of weeks ago, I showed you how I repaired my Wet N Wild Color Icon Rainbow Highlighter, Unicorn Glow, that arrived in the mail smashed to smithereens.

I was unable to get the colored horizontal wavy stripes back, and after repair, the blue shade sort of took over the palette. Way too much blue for me, at this stage of the game.

Fortunately, a new Wet N Wild Rainbow Highlighter in Unicorn Glow arrived last week, and it was in tip top shape.

Very pretty highlighter indeed, IMO.

Mostly, I use the shades individually or in pairs. Not surprisingly, I use the pink and peach, often mixed together, most often. Occasionally I’ll use the purple. I have tried running my brush over all the shades, but I find that the blue takes over, and it’s not a good look for me.

Here are finger swatches of the shades:

Wet N Wild Rainbow Highlighter Unicorn Glow doesn’t kick up any dust, and it looks very pretty on: a subtly colored glittery glow. The shades are not super bright which IMHO is a good thing. Here are more swatches in sunlight and in natural daylight:

The Unicorn Glow highlighter is not sold in stores, just on the Wet N Wild website where it’s priced at $5.99. I think it’s so pretty.

Oh yes! That palette is so pretty for the price point! Was in Walgreens yesterday and they had some Unicorn products but not this one. Wish that it would be sold in the store as I hate to pay shipping for such a small item.

    1. I was so surprised, Sandy, that Wet N Wild has disappeared from the Walgreens stores near me. I’ve checked 4 of them, and gone! But it’s a shame that they don’t sell Unicorn Glow in the stores that do carry WnW. I obsessed about this highlighter for months, so I had to buy it. I’m glad I bought it during a WnW sale, and coupled with the skinny mascara that I bought, I didn’t have to pay shipping. It’s a novelty product, and I definitely could have lived without it, but I’m glad I’ve got it. I use the pink and peach shades a lot. But I wonder, who can successfully pull off that blue??

  2. I remember this incident where you pressed it back! Personally I won’t this highlighter, looks pretty but I don’t think it’ll look great against my skin tone.

    1. The Unicorn Glow Highlighter is a novelty product, and I knew that when I bought it. But it looked so cute that I had to have it. Glad it was only $5. I love the pink and peach highlighters, so it’s still worth it for me. The blue is so pretty in the pan, but I have no idea who could possible wear that!

I’ve always wondered what those looked like. The blue is very bright! I do love the pink and peach though!

    1. Yes, the blue is too blue. I knew when I bought it that this is a novelty product, but I loved the idea of it. And I agree with you, the pink and peach alone are worth the $5 I paid for it!

  4. This is such a beautiful little palette! I may need to get this!

    1. The Wet N Wild Unicorn Glow Highlighter is a cute little novelty. I really wanted it, and I’m glad I’ve got it to play with 😉

  5. I’ve seen a similar one from another brand. Seems like a lot of peeps love unicorns.

    1. Yes, unicorns have been quite the rage for about a year or so. This novelty highlighter is really cute, but I really only use the pink, peach, yellow and occasionally purple. Fortunately, it was inexpensive

  6. I like all the shades but I do think the blue would be too much. It’s nice to find an inexpensive treat. I’m glad you got one that’s in perfect condition.

    1. You’re right, Marcia, the blue is overwhelming. Basically, it’s there just to look pretty IMHO. Luckily, I’m getting good use out of the pink, peach and even yellow and purple. And it cost $5 😉

A little too wild for me to wear but it’s a good dupe for another brand which was popular when it first came out

  8. I love all the colors together but realistically I’d only sport the pink/peach. I wish I was more adventurous. 🙂

    1. I’m not very adventurous either, Kristi. I only use the pink and peach and sometimes I add in the yellow to a mix of the three, but at $5, I think it’s OK not to use them all. I tried the blue and it looks weird IMHO

  9. I just got a rainbow highlighter from Maybelline but I haven’tried it yet.

  10. Personally I don’t think I’d use it, or I would only use the part with the pink, yellow and peachy shades, but it sure is pretty!

    1. I pretty much do exactly what you said, Lulle, just use the pink, peach and yellow, but I love looking at all the pretty colors in the pan and it only cost $5 so I think that’s OK

  11. I love applying the colors together to create a prism!

  12. Wow! These all are such a pretty colours. I wonder how it looks if you apply all colours together?

    1. If I run the brush across all of them, it turns a purply-blue color. If you use a fan brush and run it across horizontally and apply it, it’s supposed to create a prism effect from all the colors.

  13. This is so cute! I don’t know if I’d ever use the blue either, but it’s fun to have around anyway.

    1. I agree, Baily, for 5 bucks, the unicorn highlighter is fun to use and so pretty to look at.

  14. This is really pretty!! I’d never use it, but I can see my kid doing some damage with it. haha
