I have long lashes, even my bottom lashes (thanks Wink Lash and Brow Oil), but they’re colorless. 🙁 So for me, mascara is a must.
When I was ordering the Wet N Wild Rainbow Highlighter in Unicorn Glow that arrived broken and I repaired last week here, I noticed Megaslim Skinny Mascara on the website, and for $4.99, I decided to add it in. The website and the packaging both say “Perfect for lower lash liner”. Sounded good to me.
The wand is truly the skinniest and one of the longest mascara wands I’ve ever seen. The skinny part really does make it perfect for getting all the little lower lashes, but IMHO, the length of the wand makes it somewhat tricky to use on lower lashes. I think I would have liked the wand better if it were half the length it is now. Nevertheless, it does a decent job on my lashes, both lower and upper. But you know, I love wands with small plastic teeth.
What about the formula, you say? I’m not crazy about the formula. It has clumps in it. I’m not sure if the clumps are fibers or just clumps, but they are a disappointment for me. You can see what I mean in the photo of the wand above. Little clumps on the wand teeth. I can work the clumps out with the wand as I apply the formula to my lashes, but still, I don’t want clumps in my mascara.
All in all, Wet N Wild Skinny Mascara does a decent job lengthening and adding some volume to my lashes, and it doesn’t flake.
It’s not bad, but it’s not great IMO. It’s just not my favorite even at this affordable price. I could see me saving the wand and using it with a different mascara on my lower lashes.
Just for the heck of it, I checked the reviews of Megaslim Skinny Mascara on the WnW website, and the 6 reviews are all super positive. Maybe the clumping is just the tube that I got??
Have you tried Wet N Wild Skinny Mascara? What do you think?
Also, Wet N Wild is getting harder to find in stores where I live. It’s no longer in Walgreens or Ulta stores. What about near you? Where do you find Wet N Wild?

I love how tiny the wand is but shame that the formula isn’t the best. 🙁 I wish I can say I have long lashes but mine are just okay. I have been using Neostrata Lash Serum and my lashes are slightly better but I still need a mascara that gives a lot of volume.

Glad to hear that the NeoStrata Lash Serum is making a difference. I love that brand and didn’t realize they have a lash serum. This wand is cool but the formula was weird. Maybe the little clumps are the volumizing part?

Tiny wands are essential, in my opinion, when trying to tackle lower lashes. It sounds as though this formula is a miss– clumping is definitely a deal-breaker for me. Thanks for the honest assessment, Allison.

It looks like WetNWild has a number of skinny wand mascara, so I may try one of the others. I love the skinny wand for getting those little lashes
Allison, thanks for the review. Good price but I will stay with IT tightline. Haven’t bought it lately but love the brush and use that with any mascara I am using. Right now my favorite is Lancôme.

Allison, I just picked up the IT Superhero in my Ulta haul with the 20% off coupon. Another thing I got was Tarte Shape Tape concealer. Hope it is as good the salesgirl promised! Going to use the tightline brush with the Superhero.
My go-to bottom lash mascara for years has been the Mega Skinny from WnW, its fab! I will definitely give this one a go to, I mean, whats not to try at their prices!
I meant the MegaLength lol, its also a tiny wand but its rubberized. Love it.
Heather, thank you for taking the time to let us know about the MegaLength version. I’m curious about a rubberized wand coz I’ve never heard of that. Do you like the formula? My only little complaint about MegaSlim is that it’s a bit clumpy, but it could just be the tube that I bought.
LOVE the formula AND the wand. You can even find it at Dollar Tree now, if you have one I would DEFINITELY get the mascara.

I went to the Dollar Tree near me, and the only Wet N Wild mascara that they had is in a short turquoise tube, Mega something but not MegaLength. Is the one you bought in a purple tube? Looks like Walmart sells MegaLength in a purple tube for $2.97, cheap enough

Who needs little clumps, right?
The wand reminds me of Clinique lower lash mascara. Usually the first few days upto a week is when a mascara just doesn’t perform well. But atter exposure to air, the formula changes then performance gets better. If after two weeks iit still isn’t doing its job, that’s when I usually give up. I haven’t tried anything from wet and wild in a while so I will definitely check out their website
Marcia mentioned Clinique Bottom Lash mascara too. I’ll have to look at the wand. I’ve had this one for a couple of weeks now, and the mascara seems about the same. I definitely can use it and the little clumps work out with the wand, but it’s a bit more trouble than it’s worth. I’ve gone back to my favorite, Mirabella
WnW’s MaxFanatic is my absolute favourite drugstore mascara; one side of the wand has short bristles for lower lashes while the other side has longer bristles. IDK if they’ve gone and discontinued it now – I hope not!

I had no luck at all with WnW mascara. I don’t have bottom lashes to speak of so I don’t seek out mascara for them but I did try the Clinique Bottom Lash mascara which was pretty good.

This is the first WnW mascara I tried, specifically for the wand. I’ll have to check out Clinique Bottom Lash – Kathryne mentioned it too!
I probably wouldn’t try the mascara because of it’s clumps. Due, to the fact that I have sensitive eyes.
I’m just so used to regular wands that I feel like the skinny Wanda don’t hold enough product. Tried to use a skinny wand last night.

Well boo. This doesn’t sound like the best formula. Wet n Wild is harder to find here too. Walmart is the only store that has it and the display is never updated.
