Whish Body Products: Rice Milk Hand Remedy and Coconut Milk Shave Cream

About a year ago, I saw a couple of skincare products from Whish Body in a blog review. They looked so appealing. I made note.

A few weeks ago, I was given a chance to try out two products from Whish. I chose the Rice Milk Hand Remedy and the Coconut Milk Shave Cream with Hair Inhibitor.

Whish Rice Milk Hand Remedy

Right off the bat, I loved the Whish Hand Remedy packaging. It comes in a black and white box containing a black and white plastic tube. The tube has such a whimsical look. It reminds me of a penguin! And it also looks like a groovy design from the 1960s.

Plus, it is sealed so I know I won’t get it all over the place even before I open it.

It’s a fabulous “Hand Remedy”. It’s very thick and hydrating, but it sinks into my skin on contact. No greasiness whatsoever. I don’t think I’ve seen anything like it. It has a light, clean scent so men could use it as well as women.

Here’s how it’s described on Ulta.com:

Whish Rice Milk Hand Remedy heavy duty hand cream evens skin tone, refines skin, and reduces wrinkles. Our Formula: brightens with malva sylvestris extract, primula veris extract, and palmaria palmata. Smoothes wrinkles with tribehenin, ceramide 2, and palmitayl oligopeptide. Exfoliates with glycolic acid and lemon & green tea AHA complex

It does a wonderful job plumping my dry skin on my hands. They look so much smoother after I apply it. Great stuff! Now, if only I didn’t have all the sun damage I have, they’d look like the hands of a girl! I’m hoping that by the time I finish the tube, the dark spots will have faded at least a little.

Priced at $22 for 3 fl. oz./90 ml. Sold on the Whish Body website and at Ulta.

Whish Coconut Milk Shave Cream with Hair Inhibitor

Oh, I love this shave cream! Where to start? It comes in a plastic pump bottle rather than the metal aerosol cans that I’m used to. It’s so much nicer than those cans. And instead of a foaming gel, it is a cream, a hydrating, light peach-colored cream that smells like coconut, yum!

When I use an aerosol gel/foam, I usually end up with a lot of foam. With Whisk, I pump out 3 pumps of cream to cover my lower leg, and it is much less than the gel I would normally use. However, it is thick so I need to rinse out my razor more often than usual. But I don’t mind because I love this stuff!

The formula:

  • moisturizes with squalene, omega 3 and organic shea butter
  • soothes with organic green tea, organic jojoba seed oi and organic coconut oil
  • inhibits hair growth with chapparel extract.

It definitely leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated, and I do believe that my hair is growing back at a slower rate.

Whish Coconut Shave Cream contains 5 oz. and it priced at $24. It is sold on the Whish Body website, at Ulta and Nordstrom. It comes in 4 other scents, but I don’t believe the other scents contain the hair inhibitor.

Ingredients

Water (Aqua, Eau), Stearic Acid, Myristic Acid, Glycerin, Squalane, Potassium Hydroxide, Larrea Div-Aricata (Chapparel) Extract, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Extract, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Glycol Distearate, Ethylhexyl (Octyl) Palmitate, Tetrahydrox-Ypropyl Ethylenediamine, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Ex-Tract, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Fragrance (Parfum), Citric Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Citral, Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool.

Whish Body is a very cool brand. The products seem different in terms of their look, their functions and their healthy ingredients. At this gift-giving time of year, both would be great gifts or stocking stuffers or great gifts for yourself. Right now, Ulta has a buy 1, get 1 for 50% off so it’s easier to buy one as a gift and get a deal on one for yourself! Whish Body has an extensive product line that includes other body care products like sugar scrub, deodorant with hair grown inhibitor, body butter, body CC cream among others.

I have tried Whish products via Birchbox and love the lotions, body wash, and hair minimizing arm pit wipes! Definitely keep these products in mind! 🙂

    1. That’s great that Birchbox includes Whish products. I hope ipsy will too. I’d love to try the body wash and lotion next

  2. I love Whish shave creams! Glad you enjoyed the products as well. That hand remedy sounds wonderful too.

I have dry hands year round, and eczema. I’m always on the lookout for a good hand cream.

    1. This is a good hand cream, Rachel, but for eczema I’d stick with Aveeno. Do you have any luck with Aveeno?

      1. Rachel R. says:

Aveeno, works OK for the dryness. It does nothing for the really bad patches by my elbows. I get the gray scaley alligator skin there. It looks like I never wash above my elbows. lol The best thing I’ve found for those is Nu Skin Epoch Sole Solution Foot Treatment; it’s the only thing I’ve tried that works on the patches.

I’ve been using their Baobab Body Butter on my hands and nails at night. Avon Intensive Moisture Therapy Hand Cream works really well for my hands and feet, too. I have tubes of hand creams and lotions all over the house.

        1. Rachel, it sounds like you’ve got things under control. I get exfoliative keratolysis on my thumbs every summer, and I’ve found that Revitaderm Keratolytic Cream is good for it. And from what I’ve read on Amazon from other folks with different skin conditions, it helps them too. During the rest of the year, my hands are normal dry skin, and Whish Hand Remedy and a couple of other brands do a good job with my “garden variety” dryness

            Thank you, Allison.

  4. I haven’t tried the hand cream, but I do have a sample of the shaving cream I use for travel. It’s pink…grapefruit? Pomegrante? I don’t remember. Anyway, I really like it! It’s creamy and easy to use. I’d probably repurchase, but it’s a bit pricey for shave cream.

    1. It could be either pink grapefruit or pomegranate coz I think they have both. Yes, it’s pricey, a splurge item for during a Nordstrom or Ulta sale!

  5. Oh my gosh, I’m totally getting that hair inhibitor shaving cream!! That is a GENIUS idea and I loooove all things coconut so, I’m sold.

    1. I think you’ll love it! I am a big coconut fan too and this smells coconut-y but not overwhelming. The hair inhibitor does seem to be slowing the growth on my legs so I don’t have to shave every, single day like I usually do.

  6. This is a brand I tried when at an event at nordstrom once and ever since I’ve been a huge fan of their products! They smell good, but they also work fantastic for me! I’m glad to know that you like them as well! I’ll have to give that shaving product a try because I just finished my ACURE one and I need a new one!

    1. I love the look of all the Whish products. The packaging really attracted me. And the products themselves are wonderful. The shaving product is great except for the fact that you have to rinse your razor more often, but the hair inhibitor and the moisturizing effect are worth it!

  7. The hand product sounds really nice, i currently use Clarins Hand cream and want to try a new brand.
NORAH recently posted…My Most Comfortable And Favorite PantiesMy Profile

    1. I haven’t tried the Clarins hand cream so I can’t compare them. This is lightweight, sinks in immediately, less no greasiness, but still seems hydrating. If you like more of a hand cream feeling left on your skin, this isn’t it. If you like smoothness with no greasiness at all, you’d probably like it.

  8. I have never tried this brand, but the products that you reviewed sound great. That Hand Remedy is definitely something I should try right now because with the cold weather, I always need a moisturizer! Love the packaging and your duck!! xo

    1. I had read reviews by a couple of bloggers last year, and since then Whish has been on my radar. I like it a lot. The packaging is so cool, plus the products really work. Duckie says hi!

  9. This shave cream looks great. I kind of want to check it out because it’s so different and something I havnt ever tried before. I love silky smooth legs and plus since I gym it 5 days a week not shaving isn’t an option.

  12. I have not tried the hand cream, but have used a couple of Whish body butter samples and loved them. I swear I also had a sample of the shave cream – I packed it before travelling and have not seen it since. I love that it has a hair growth inhibitor.

  15. I have to make a mental note that these products are at Ulta (esp the shave cream). I was at Ulta today looking for a LOreal blush (that they didn’t have) and to prevent buying stuff I don’t need .. I headed to the door .. lol. But there’s always the upcoming weekend ~ right?!?
