Several months ago, I started seeing lots of ads on Facebook for a brand I wasn’t familiar with, Zenmed. The ads for the skincare brand seemed to focus on those with acne or rosacea. Though it looked like a serious skincare brand, I didn’t think it would suit me since neither of those conditions applied to me. A few weeks later, I got an email from someone at Zenmed asking me if I’d like to try out some of their products. I responded that I didn’t think they had products for my skin type, and they replied that they certainly did and would send me a selection.
About Zenmed
I also discovered that Zenmed is a Canadian company that manufactures skincare products in Canada and the U.S. that are cruelty-free and Leaping Bunny certified. The products are non-comedogenic, vegetarian or vegan, have no artificial colors or fragrance, and many are fragrance-free. The products arrived with minimal packaging out of concern for the planet.
Zenmed’s claim to fame and the reason they are named Zenmed “Reconstructive Skincare” is that they emphasize skincare solutions for acne, rosacea and scars. Nevertheless, they have a large range of at least 28 skincare products that are appropriate for all skin types. They sent me 6 products to try out based on my skincare needs. I described my skin as dry, somewhat sensitive, mature skin with some dark spots.

Zenmed Skincorrect+ Intensive Scar & Skin Damage Lightener, 2% Hydroquinone
- 2% hydroquinone combined with antioxidants to lighten scars and dark spots

- Zenmed recommends using Skincorrect+ Intensive Scar & Skin Damage Lightener with Renewing Microdermabrasion Complex. I haven’t been doing that but I will. I think I’ve had a little lightening on one of my dark spots, but I should follow their instructions that I just saw on the website. Skincorrect+ on its own, 1 fl. oz./30 ml, is priced at $45. The bundle of the two products is on sale for $69.99, a $15 savings!
Zenmed B5 Hyaluronic Plumping Serum
- Vitamin B5 and Hyaluronic Acid combine to boost collagen levels

Among the 6 products that I tried, three are my favorites:
- Zenmed Gentle Cleansing Cream: This super gentle, pH balanced cream cleanser is my true favorite. I’m supposed to be testing out another skincare line, but I cannot leave this cleanser behind. It’s that good!
- Zenmed Oil-free Moisturizer with SPF 30: I like this lightweight, greaseless moisturizer with sunscreen a lot. If you use daytime moisturizer with chemical sunscreen ingredients, this one is worth trying. And at $10 a tube right now, it’s a steal!
- Zenmed AVT Cream: I have no idea what “AVT” stands for, but I love this rich but not too rich, nourishing but not greasy moisturizer with Matrixyl, HA and natural skin-loving oils. It’s one of my new faves. And in it’s handy tube, it’s perfect for travel.

I’d describe my skin as….finicky? Usually dry-ish, some days it’s angry with everything I do and other times it doesn’t mind if I bathe in acids. Go figure.
I typically looooove cream/lotion type cleansers, so I’d like to win because I want to try this one! That and because I think I just blew a goodly chunk of my disposable income by adding to my brooch collection, so buying cleanser while I still have back-ups would be a no-no. #%$@*’n ebay… King of all distractions. I have never heard of this brand before, but I am very curious to try products for normal to combination skin.

I have seen this line around, like you said but have not tried it. I really like the idea of customizing products specifically for my own skin type. And, like you, I have aging skin with some dark spots. I would like to try ZenMed to see what I have been missing. I am a fan and supporter of Leaping Bunny certified products with minimal packaging. Another great skincare giveaway! I’m intrigued by the Zenmed Skincorrect+ Intensive Scar & Skin Damage Lightener. I have old acne scars and dark sunspots that would benefit from such a system.
I’m turning 44 in August and although I take good care of my skin I’m really not targeting aging issues. I also have fair skin so my dark spots are especially pronounced and I’ve yet to find a product that provides noticeable results. This entire system is exciting. I’m glad its Leaping Bunny certified plus their minimalist packaging is important to me.

This sounds so interesting. I think it’s great that they conserve trees with their no packaging. I like too that this is customized. But you know you didn’t tell me enough about the fragrance of these products!!

Actually, I made a blanket statement about the products since there are at least 28 of them, and I tried 6: “the products have no artificial colors or fragrances, and many are fragrance free”. Of the 6 products I tried, 5 have no discernible scent. The B5 Hyaluronic Plumping Serum has a strong natural herbal scent that reminds me of ferulic acid scent.
I would love to give this a try. I have very dry skin. I found I hit a certain age and it was like all the moisture just went. I am always putting on lotions and creams and wondering if I will ‘win’. I like how this doesnt have fragrance. I mean I enjoy a nice smelling product but have found that less fragrance is better.
Although I am not a huge fan of the B5 Hyaluronic Plumping Serum because it has a strong natural scent from the ingredients (you may not mind it), I do love the AVT Cream with hyaluronic acid and other emollients. I believe they have other hydration-oriented products. The Gentle Cleansing Cream is to die for – it’s so gentle and leaves my skin feeling wonderful and not stripped by any means. Thanks for the luck. I think the cleanser would be a great start. I am not totally against fragrance, just so many are plain overpowering, and it seems they strip your skin. The products with hydration properties would be perfect.

I would be interested to see if they have clinical trials on rosacea simply because I have patients who resort to aesthetic treatments (laser and/or ipl) because other modalities have failed. It’s nice to be able to give them options for maintenance
I think if you contacted Zenmed as a professional, they would let you know, Kathryne. I have looked through the website, but I didn’t notice clinical trials. They have lots of before & after photos that do not look like they were photoshopped or altered. I think Zenmed is a good and sincere brand, so you should check with them. I think I remember the website talking about using some of their products “post-procedure” so they must work with derms in some way or another. Sorry I don’t have the answer to your question.

I have combination skin – oily around my nose but dry patches on my forehead and cheeks. I would love to try the oil-free moisturizer to protect my face without making my skin more oily than it is.
