Zoya 3-in-1 Formula Remove+ Polish Remover

Gosh, I never thought I’d be reviewing a nail polish remover, but here I am. I took advantage of a recent offer from Zoya. Purchase $10 or more and get free shipping and a full-size bottle of Zoya 3-in-1 Formula Remove+, a multi-tasking product that’s part of their Color Lock System and is touted as:

  • polish remover
  • nail cleaner
  • nail prep.

I Bought This        Affiliate Links

I bought two bottles of polish from the Naturel 2 collection for fall: Madeline and Aubrey. I loved the original Naturel collection, so I had to have a couple of these babies.

nail polish: Madeline, Aubrey

Added bonus, they coordinate with Brigitte from the Transitional Naturel Collection that I already own,

Zoya Professional Lacquer Brigitte

and they also look good with the new Milani Nail Lacquers in Pink Beige and Mauving Forward

Milani Color Statement Nail Lacquer, Pink Beige

so I can do an ombre mani where every nail is a different shade of the same color family. Psyched!

But I digress. Back to Remove+.

For years, I’ve been using the nail polish removers from CVS that come in plastic tubs with sponge inside that you swirl your fingers around in to remove the polish. I’m lazy and that seemed easier. But at this time of the year, my exfoliative keratolysis (the skin on my thumbs dries out, turns white, splits, peels off and is very painful) kicks up, and it kills to soak my thumbs in the polish remover.

With Zoya Remove+, instead of soaking, I use a cotton pad on my finger tips so I can avoid the raw skin on my thumbs. The flip-top plastic bottle that Zoya calls “The Big Flipper” flips to reveal 3 little holes on a spring top that you push down on with a cotton pad to soak up a bit of the remover.

So easy and non-messy to use! I found that Zoya Remove+ completely removed my cream nail polish quite easily and quickly. I haven’t tried it with the dreaded glitter polish yet, but consumer reviews on both the Zoya website and Makeup Alley consistently report that it gets off glitter easily. I can hardly wait to experience that! I think I’ve found my new HG polish remover!

Zoya Remove+ is billed as “mild acetone” remover. And I can attest that it didn’t dry out my nails the way acetone removers usually do. My nails look and feel quite good, like they’re reading for more polish!

Finally, Zoya Remove+ has a pleasant floral scent (they call it lavender but I’d say floral is close enough). The 8 oz./237 ml size that I received retails for $9.99 though it is also available in a 2 oz sample size, and a large 32 oz. size for $25. It is sold on the Zoya website, on Amazon, at Ulta stores, Birchbox, and other random websites as well as some salons. It’s made in the U.S.

Ingredients: 2-Propanone, Water, Glycerin, Fragrance, D&C Violet #2

Have you tried Zoya Remove+ yet? What’s your experience been?

  1. I wouldn’t say it gets glitter off “easily”! This is my Holy Grail remover, but you still need to put the work in for glitter removal; I do the foil method! But I LOVE the smell of this, and how well it preps my nails and cleanse them without drying them out too badly! Great review!

    1. I was hoping it was a miracle, and glitter would just melt off, Judy! I’ll do the foil method with it too.

  2. Sounds like a great remover.I hope you´ll write about how it removes glitter polishes too, once you have tried on those.

    1. Will do, Leelo! I’ll probably apply it with cotton pads and aluminum foil.

  3. I like Zoya Remove +. It is excellent remover but in my experience it does NOT remove glitter easily. I would buy it more often if it were more affordable. As much as I like it, I run through remover and acetone at an alarming rate and the Remove + would put me in the poor house! LOL

  6. rach says:

Foil is definitely the way to go for the glitter, but I do think that when done that way, it does come off rather quickly. I’ve still got some store brand remover left to use, but the Zoya is my favourite and I’ll surely purchase it again.

    1. Sometimes, I’m just too lazy to do the foil, Rach, but I know it’s worth it in the long run with less wear and tear on my nails. Eager to see if it comes off any easier with Zoya than with the CVS brand

  7. Sounds like a must have! I will try it when I run out of my nail polish remover.

  11. Do you think it would get gel polish off? I’m a nail newbie!
Justina recently posted…Altchek MD Skincare ReviewMy Profile

    1. I am guessing no, Justina. In my experience, gels need the heavy-duty straight acetone to come off. I looked for some info on whether it does and couldn’t find anything that said it removes gels. I’m not a big gel person, but I think not.

  12. I am obsessed with this remover!

  13. Zoya Remove + is the HG of removers! I also took advantage of this deal, and I love the Big Flipper! At the rate I go through remover, though, I would go broke using this, so I do the DIY version with Acetone mixed with a few drops of glycerin, and I add my own fragrances.

    1. I love that DIY formula. I wonder if there’s such a thing as “mild acetone” which is what Zoya calls their key ingredient. Just marketing hype??
