About a month ago, I was sent three Zoya polishes to use to try out some easy nail art for Halloween. I feel bad because they arrived the day before Halloween, right when Jeff got home from his surgery and I didn’t have time for nail art. But I want to show you the shades now because IMHO each of the shades is a year-round classic. No candy corn shades here!
- Snooki: bright red cream
- Claire: garnet cream
- Raven: deep black cream.
If you need/want a fabulous black for nail art or to apply toppers over, Raven is the one. So black, so shiny. For me, it covers in one coat.
Snooki is a bright, warm orange-red. It’s a fun, cheerful shade. It also provides good coverage with one coat, but I applied two just to be sure.
Claire, a gorgeous garnet, is my favorite of the three. I adore garnet – a deep burgundy-brown – in jewelry and in nail polish too. I especially love wearing it at this time of year. I’m going to wear it on Thanksgiving 🙂 Unlike the other two shades where I could get away with one coat, Claire needed two coats to become opaque, but that’s the norm and it’s nothing to complain about.
Sorry, there are a few flubs on my manis. I need to take out my contact lenses when I polish my nails so I can see better up close, lol. I actually used a Q-tip to clean up afterwards but I guess I missed. Oh well.

Claire is totally my kind of shade, very pretty! And YAY to restocking the remover!!! I was just eyeing the dregs, ahem…contents…of my bottle dubiously yesterday. Glad I can fix that now. Other than that, when it comes to me and Zoya, I can’t resist the Pixie Dust. So sparkly! And texture covers all kinds of nail sins, hahaha. I think I’ll get Lorna this time. But I should check the level on my bottle of Godiva and make sure I don’t need to reorder that one as well. It gets a lot of use!
Godiva is my holiday go-to polish as well. I just love it! I have some Pixie Dust minis that I’ve gotta dig out and start using now. I am actually going to buy topcoat during the sale, but why not – for $5 totally worth it 😉 Happy Thanksgiving, Rach!

This time I bought the monster bottle of remover. It is much cheaper per ounce. And it was half off…. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE beauty math slays me. It probably takes me a year to go through the normal 8oz bottle. I will never run out of remover again!!!
