Rose Gold Nails for Summer: Pop*arazzi Bronze Metal Nail Polish

Thank you to those who took the time to comment about the Shingrix vaccine. Today, I am feeling much better in the aftermath of the second Shingrix vaccine. My fever is down, my bones no longer hurt, and I am somewhat less fatigued. Yay! Now, it’s behind me, and hopefully, I am protected against Shingles, the viral disease characterized by painful blisters. As I mentioned, I know several people who have had Shingles, and it was awful. A vaccine even with temporary side effects is far better than getting sick!

I did a little work in the garden today, mostly trimming shrubs, and after I finished, I looked at my nails. Yikes! My thumb nail that I injured last year split vertically again in spite of healing and looking good this past winter. And the rest of my nails looked a wreck. Though I should have filed my nails so they would be the same length, I just wanted to paint them and cover them up. πŸ˜‰

When I was at CVS on Monday getting my Shingrix shot, I stroll through the cosmetics area of the store. Can you believe I actually miss shopping at CVS? I got a dollar off Extrabuck, and I decided I should use it because it will probably be weeks before I return to the store, and it will expire. A bunch of 75% off Clearance stickers on the Pop*arazzi nail polish display caught my eye. At $2.99 full price, 75% off would be almost free. I assumed they were discontinuing the brand. I picked up a pretty metallic shade called Bronze Metal that I think is somewhere between rose gold, red and copper (though they also have rose gold and copper shades), maybe with a hint of gold and green.

When I went to the cashier to pay, she told me they are not discontinuing the brand, just some of the shades. Bronze Metal is not being discontinued.

So with my Extrabuck, it cost $1.99, and it’s such a great summer color, it was well worth the price, lol.

Pop*arazzi has a nice brush that I would describe as medium in size.

The formula is easy to apply, and it dries quite quickly. I used Morgan Taylor REACT Base Coat first, applied two coats of Bronze Metal for full coverage, and finished it off with Glisten & Glow Top Coat.

Because I spend so much time digging in the dirt outdoors, the polish may not last forever, but this rose gold/copper (not bronze IMHO) looks so good that it’s worth it even if I have to touch it up.

What’s on your nails today?

  1. Morning Allison…….such a pretty color. I know that my daughter would love it. She’s always painting her nails. She loves buying different colors of polish. Thanks for sharing. πŸ˜·πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈπŸ₯°πŸ·

    1. Thank you, DiEtta! Definitely a pretty shade that looks very summery. It lifted my spirits, and gave me a little affordable shopping therapy! How’s your shawl coming?

      1. Waving Hi….πŸ˜·πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ My shawl is going good. I think I am half way. I need to NOT start anything until it’s finished…..πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ The weather is getting hot here this weekend so a good excuse to just crochet. Probably will have to finally turn on the air conditioning. 😩$$$. I think I have finally gotten control of my retail therapy! No shopping lately. Being in the β€œStay at Home” I really took a good look at my spending. It was out of control. 😱

        1. I am the same way: I only work on one crochet project at a time; otherwise, I would never finish! It’s hot & humid here too, so tonight I will turn on the AC so I can get some sleep! Staying home for months has helped me get a hold of my spending, too. However, I did just make a few purchases online and instore on Monday when I went to CVS for my Shingles vaccine. I need to just stay home, period! Stay cool and happy crocheting!!

  2. This is a great shade! It looks great with your skin tone. If it starts to chip at the tips, just add glitter to the tops for a kind of ombre glitter manicure. Hides the chipping but still looks good.
