Enter new City Beauty Lid Lifting Treatment. City Beauty Lid Lifting Treatment is a special cream that helps your skin cells remember what they are supposed to be doing, like they did when you were younger. It nourishes and energizes the skin to lift and firm saggy eyelids while softening the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Here’s a photo of me in February, well before I started using City Beauty Lid Lifting Treatment. I was using $90 PCA Skin Eye Gel, and I thought I looked pretty good. I guess I didn’t look closely.

For me, Lid Lifting Treatment is kind of like spackle for the skin above my crease. Although out of the tube, it looks like a regular gel-cream, in reality it is a thick, white, firming cream. I pat it on, and it makes the skin under my brow and above my crease look firmer and less crepey.

In fact, my skin looked better right from the start. I have only been using it for a couple of weeks at this point rather than the recommended 4 weeks, but I can tell that it’s working. I fully intend to keep on going so I can see if it continues. Now, I am not saying that I look 25 again or even 45, but if it helps shave a few years off, I’m good 😉

Because City Beauty products are pricey, I like to make them last as long as I can. I mostly apply it just to the skin above my crease, and I use another less expensive eye cream that just moisturizes around the rest of the skin around my eyes. I think I will start using it on my crow’s feet, too. After applying Lid Lifting Treatment, I let it set for a minute before I apply eye makeup. It is very smooth (it has dimethicone in it for those of you who are sensitive to that ingredient), and I love that it seems to smooth out  some of the skin above my crease so I can apply highlighter or a lighter eye shadow and it won’t emphasize the crepiness of my skin. It’s kind of like a primer for my upper eye area.

The key ingredients for lifting and smoothing in addition to dimethicone include:

  • Hawthorne and Arabian Jasmine Extracts: reduce sagging/help lift skin
  • Quinoa Seed Extract: nourishes skin with peptides to lift and smooth, decreases excess skin folds
  • Blurring Microspheres: spherical silicone powder provides an optimized light-diffusing effect that helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles

Lid Lifting Treatment also contains lots of familiar hydrators and humectants including hyaluronic acid, glycerin, butylene glycol, propanediol, and other ingredients to moisturize and hydrate the skin.

After 4 weeks of using new Lid Lifting Treatment twice a day, 92% of the respondents in a study reported:

  • their eyelid area looked smoother
  • fine lines on their lids looked more filled in
  • the skin in the crease and above looked more elastic.

City Beauty Lid Lifting Treatment comes in a tube containing 0.33 fl. oz., and it is typically priced at $67. But it is 30% off  plus free shipping now through Monday August 24 with the code: LIFT30. That makes it a more affordable $46.90 🙂

Lid Lifting Treatment is formulated for all skin types. Like all the other City Beauty products, it is cruelty-free, made without animal-derived ingredients, mineral oil, phthalates, sulfates, or parabens. In addition, it has a 60 day guarantee/return policy.

Lid Lifting Treatment joins my other City Beauty hero products – City Lips, Multi-Tasking Sculpting Cream, Uplift Firming Serum, Microbiome Night Mask, and another product that I haven’t reviewed yet – in my pantheon of favorites!

Wow, that’s quite an endorsement! I’m going to try it.

    1. Kim, this eye cream was created just for the lid, skin above the crease and crow’s feet rather than dark circles etc. so it is really like spackle for loose skin. But it is really what I was looking for. I like that it makes a smoother canvas of my upper eye area!

  2. Wow, Allison– this sounds like an incredible eye lid cream! They make such great products!

    Great review! Thanks for sharing.

  8. So you put the eye lift below just the brow bone, not on the lid right above your eye. Also on you crows feet? Stella

    1. Stella, I wear City Beauty Lid Lifting Treatment on the skin under my brows and in the crease. Yes, you can apply it to crow’s feet. You can also put it on your eyelid itself if you like, but I use a regular/less expensive moisturizing eye cream on my dry eyelids. Hope that helps 🙂

  9. Does it work right away, or does it take awhile to work. Stella

    1. Hi Stella, I have been using eye cream in my crease and above it for decades so I am not starting from really droopy eyelids, if you know what I mean. City Beauty Lid Lifting Treatment, however, is a “stiff”, rather thick cream that in my review, I called it like “spackle” for your eyes, so I guess I would say it works right away. It sort of smooths out the skin. I hope this helps!

  10. Alice says:

Is it a temporary fix in that it only works for as long as you keep using it, or will it actually fix droopy eyelids?

    1. Alice, because it is a cream and not cosmetic surgery, my assumption is that it helps the skin become firmer than it was, but if you have seriously droopy eyelids, it will not fix them. I have been working on keeping my eyelids as firm as possible without surgery for about 20 years. I have always been much less interested in the skin under my eyes than above my crease because I knew so many women in my mother’s generation who had to have surgery. So I did not start from nothing when I switched to City Beauty Lid Lifting Treatment, I had been trying different eye creams for a long time. My assessment of CB Lid Lifting is that it acts kind of like spackle for your eyelids. It is much thicker and stiffer than other eye creams and eye gels that I have used over the years. It also helps smooth out the skin above the crease so that I can wear eye shadow in that area without it looking lumpy. I had been using PCA Skin Eye gel most recently before the City Beauty came out. PCA Skin eye gel is $90 a tube, but I bought three of them when I found a 30% off sale. After trying the CB Lid Lifting, I have left the PCA Skin eye gel in my cabinet and I have switched. City Beauty is also pricey at $67, but I always wait till they have a sale to purchase and eventually, they do. In all honesty, all facial skincare products can be considered “temporary fixes”. If you stop using them or using something after you’ve seen good results, your skin will go back to its old ways. For example, some skincare products help restart or boost your collagen production. After a certain age, collagen production goes way down. If you stop using the skincare product, your body stops making as much collagen. I hope this helps. It was a long treatise saying that the only thing that permanently fixes droopy eyelids is cosmetic surgery. All facial skincare products can be fixes as long as you use them.

  11. Alice says:

Thank you Allison for your detailed answer to my question. I will keep an eye out for a sale on this product. I saw it first advertised for $49, but when I looked again it was $67.

    1. Yes, City Beauty has quick little sales all the time, but usually for one product at a time. I think they are going to do a 40% off sale on everything in the next several weeks. I always wait for their sales.

  12. I placed an order for city eye lid lifting product on face book this morning but have received no confirmation.

    1. Hi Mary Ann, I have never shopped City Beauty via Facebook. I always go to the website. I suggest that you call their customer service. I have always found them to be very helpful. I found the customer service phone number on their website. Good luck! I love that eye lid lifting cream. I hope it works for you
