IGK Expensive High Shine Gloss Treatment and When It Rains, It Pours

So get this: today, the logic board (similar to a mother board) on my 3 year old MAC desktop bit the dust.  After trying to start the computer back up again with an IT guy on the phone with Apple Support, we finally gave up. I had an appointment at the Apple Store, and that’s where I got the bad news. Thankfully, I bought AppleCare so that’s a good thing. But I lose everything that was on that computer. Hopefully, much of it will be stored in the cloud. Wish me luck!

In the meantime, I am curious to find out if I can post again, and if MadMimi will deliver the new post. I’ll give it a try.

IGK More Life Color Extending Shampoo & Conditioner

I’ve been using IGK products for most of this year, and so far, I love them. Recently, I wrote an early review of IGK More Life Color Extending Shampoo and Conditioner. The duo honestly does extend the life of my red color even in the summer. I’ve been floored by how well they perform for me. The only thing I would change is adding a pump to the conditioner bottle because the thick conditioner is impossible to get out of the flip up dispenser. I have to store the bottle upside down, remove the top, and squeeze out the thick conditioner. Boo. But other than that small complaint, it’s love, love, love for me!

IGK Expensive High Shine Gloss Treatment

In order to perfect my hair using IGK products, I decided to try IGK Expensive High Shine Gloss Treatment.

IGK Expensive is a very (almost imperceptible) lightweight topcoat added to hair to add high shine gloss via Amla Oil – a natural conditioner for high shine, Sea Kelp Extract – adds shine and helps prevent damage, and Sunflower Seed Oil – controls frizz and hydrates and softens hair. The formula seals the hair cuticle to prevent color fading and damage from heat tools. Obviously, it is safe for color-treated hair. Importantly, it provides UV protection that lasts about 3 days.

What is especially important to me is that Expensive provides frizz-control to my humidity-induced frizz. It keeps my hair looking and feeling smooth for 3 days as well.

After shampooing, apply Expensive to wet hair from roots to ends. Let it sit on the hair for 3 minutes, comb through and then rinse thoroughly. Dry and style as usual.

Although Expensive is supposed to be used once or twice a week in place of your regular conditioner, I double up. Because my hair is mostly thick and coarse, I use IGK More Life Conditioner and follow up with IGK Expensive.

IGK Expensive is sold on the IGK Hair website, at Sephora and Amazon among other retailers. Currently, you can receive 20% off if you share your email with IGK. I signed up months ago, and I always receive emails offering me 20% off and sometimes 25% off. Right now, IGK is offering IGK Expensive duos and trios, and I intend to buy a duo. My red hair can’t do without IGK More Life and Expensive Gloss Treatment!

  1. Your hair looks terrific. I’m not happy with my hair at the moment so this might be good for me.
